A lot of these polls have a lot of undecided voters (~10%). As the election gets closer, the overwhelming stats of the economy replace the lies, Trump gets convicted and people are forced to make a binary choice, I think those numbers will move in Bidens favor.

It's easy to be dissatisfied with Biden when ur talking about a theoretical race this far out, but when there is a real choice between Biden and a known nut like Trump, people will come to their senses and those undecided will break (I believe heavily) for Biden.

I saw this on Twitter. I can't 100% vouch for the numbers, but they seem close enough. I always found it hilarious when Trump Supporters talked about their "silent" majority. I think the way the country is going the electoral college has to be addressed. The minority of Americans who control the majority of land shouldn't be dictating policy to the majority of Americans. They can keep the 2 senators per state to give them a say but allow the Presidency to be decided by popular vote.

Good points. But I'd quibble a little here. Suburban woman do care and they viscerally hate Trump and all he is. The GOP went too far with their assault on abortion and woman's rights. They've went so far that I'm sure some suburban dads will come out to support/protect their daughters rights to choice/life. This can't be understated. Check out the midterms and every election where abortion/choice has been on the ballot. Even in Red States. It's a unquestionable loser. And the more talk of national/federal abortion bans, and more stories of states rather having woman die than have a medical procedure to remove a fetus that won't survive, the more they will lose. That's why Trump was desperately trying to equivocate on it.

1.) The VP candidate hardly moves the needle (well a bad one could hurt you, fist big bad decision). Esp. in the age of a closely divided electorate. It may help enforce and turnout a group in your coalition (Kamala Harris and the Black Greek life), but it won't paper over ideological differences.

2.) Suburban woman are not stupid. By definition, they are wealthier and better educated (well if you understand what the suburbs are). The GOP has been losing suburban women/soccer moms since Mr. Pussy grabber got elected and now with the shift of the Supreme Court and the abortion ruling, they have ratcheted up the crazy and lost more. There was a recent case where Texas sued to make sure a woman couldn't have an abortion that would save her life, even though the fetus she was carrying was going to die. The Texas Supreme Court denied her access to the abortion as well. Trump's base are the uneducated (as evidenced by this forum, despite the recent nonsense about his resurgence amongst the educated). Check the crosstabs from the exit polls in the Iowa caucus. He spilt the college educated vote, and won the not college educated vote by 67% (I believe) and that was in the Republican party. The better ability people have to understand the GOP policies, the less they will vote for them. I expect women to come out in force against the GOP as evidenced by the last few elections. Trump would be chasing ghosts on this.

3.) He may choose a woman, but it won't help with his suburban woman problem. He will most likely pick a woman, but one who aligns with his MAGA policies and his base. He may make mouth to suburban woman, but will most likely try to gin up his base as he's always done. And his base are the uneducated and men. And to even argue Kristi Noem would help with suburban woman is silly talk. Having two people credibly accused of infidelity on the same ticket should be fun though.
