Priceless200:When was your Qatar flight? Sounds like misinformation. Rescinding a policy like that would take time. |
1Sharon:Why would it depend on the airline? What business does the airline have in arbitrarily deciding who is allowed into a country? The airlines follow the immigration policies of the countries the passengers are going to. The airlines in the US check travel requirements because they are fined by the US if they don't reasonably check the passengers documents and the passenger is denied entry. And they have to fly the passenger back to the US. Here is the letter stating the Nigerian policy. It doesn't say anything about the length of expiration. Seems that would be a lot to force the airport agents to check for. https://tripguide.com.ng/authority-to-board-nigerians-with-expired-nigerian-passports/

inoki247:Information is always helpful and a post like this has the potential to alleviate some headaches for people trying to travel. FYI, I wouldn't trust the Nigerian consulate to be helpful when you are at the airport being denied the ability to board. Have you ever tried calling any US based Nigerian embassy and reaching an agent? As to the airlines, I reached out to British Airlines by phone. The first rep, said you couldn't, told me to call TSA. Called TSA, who told me to call the airline. Called the airline back and escalated the call and wouldn't take an answer until I had someone actually check their system. The rep finally told me that she could see the policy and Nationals could enter with an expired passport. Taking no chances I went to the check-in terminal to ask an actual British Airways agent there, last week while returning from a trip. She also told me that she could see the policy in their system. But only found it when searching for the Entry requirements from London to Nigeria. |
As all things Naija, I was also concerned. I'm flying back to Naija for xmas with an expired passport. So, I stopped by the British Airways check-in while at the airport just to make sure I would have no issues. The agent seemed aware and said that there was an advisory in there system that said "Nigerian Nationals could return with an expired passport". And that all airlines should be able to see the advisory. She found it when searching the system for flights from London to Nigeria, London being my stopover. |

PDPGuy:The Republican party has been trending this way for a while. Indictments still matter for Democrats. |
MentalCase98:I see you're probably cycling through all your usernames as your posts get taken down. Seems this post has aged rather poorly. My fault. you were talking about yourself here.
|
bemeruca:You left out the driver and mopo out front and didn't mention the fact that her work pays for all of it. But you're too stupid to know when to shut up. fyi, Jealousy doesn't look good on ya. |
A friend told me about the ECOWAS travel document, says it can be completed in a couple of hours and will let me into Ghana. Will try this route. Will update how it works out. |
MentalCase98:Just to put a bow on this. And since I am unpacking/packing for the next 2 trips, they are here. You probably don't know what these are... but look them up. My girl takes the nicer ones. And the 2nd pic should make it clearer for someone who has never entered a plane like you. If this were Mortal Kombat, this is the spot they would have said "FINISH HIM".

MentalCase98:Holy Shit. This is my last post on this. Have better shit to do than educating you on flying. First class lounges are exceptions. Top tier airlines do it occasionally to differentiate and moreso in the places they are based or the flag carrier of i.e Lufthansa in Germany, Korean Air, South Korea, two airlines you've talked about in terminals in their home countries. This is the same shit you do in this thread. You talk authoritatively about shit you have 0 clue about based on limited research. Like you talking authoritatively about the US as if you've ever even been here. You've started with lounges having unicorns that magically fly you through the airport and into your seat on the plane so you don't touch those nasty general flyers to every flight departure is announced in supposed tranquil places like most lounges, allowing the cacophony of the airport in. With each domino that falls you stand a new one up. All to prove I am what... someone who flies often but doesn't go to lounges? Even at that, someone who'd you be calling fada? I'll leave you with this post. Yes, let's get it out of the way; I am lying, the NY Times is lying, this link is a lie, the only truthful person is the person who has never been in a lounge or on a plane. Remember click your heels three times and say Fake News three times and it'll be all ok. https://onemileatatime.com/reviews/lufthansa-first-class-lounge-boston/ As I said, the exception that proves the rule.
|
MentalCase98:Holy Shit. This guy has spent the last few days scouring videos of lounges for one that says First Class Lounge. See an idiot. As in Gen. Chem, you have found the exception that proves the rule. Try this, click your heels 3 times then say "Fake News" 3 times and all those pesky facts I gave you will just disappear. That's how you conservative idiots work right? |
MentalCase98:I'm a liar, the NY times is a liar. Everyone but the person who has never sat his ass in a lounge nor been on a plane is lying. Lol. You can put up ur dork call to Benalvino and Basilico now to get help as you're clearly getting ur head bashed in again. |
MentalCase98:Another day another teaching lesson for you. Most of the better international airport lounges are places to retreat and relax, and so are generally quiet. The last one I was at had a enclosed booth to make calls. From the NYtimes: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/06/travel/airport-lounges-guide.html Serious question. What is the point of opening your mouth to talk about something you have 0 experience with, whereas it be flying or lounge access? Do you like constantly looking stupid? Is there a daily "I want to be made a fool" quota you have to fill?
|
MentalCase98:Yeah OmotaleeJanet, aka slyfoxx-Janet, all these bans must have been rewards for your amazing contributions to this thread.
|
MentalCase98:Look at this the Dork call. Hey fellow dorks, Basilico, Bemeruca, I'm getting my head bashed, I've exposed the fact that I've never been on a plane and I'm being made a fool. Come help. What a collection of dorks and losers you three are. Two practiced Liars, 2 Mentally ill peons, and a dead-beat dad. Nice squad you got there. |
MentalCase98:Try Crystal or a Glenfiddich 21 Yr, may help with that pain. My fault, a little out of your budget.. lol What do they sell in Naij for 5k? lol |
MentalCase98:I could talk about your family, I don't. I've seen their worthlessness before you locked down your facebook page. They're probably tired of you as well. I'm talking about the worthless, lying delusional multiple personality having degenerate that you are. Yes, it's quite a sad life I live, when I'm at parties in Ikoyi, in VIP seats at concerts in Lagos, sippin Moet and Crystal on New Years Eve, chilling on the beaches of Ghana, partying in Abuja, and shopping in London on my way back to the US, I never know how I'll live with myself. It'll be so sad, I'll post pics and maybe you can tell me about that imaginary girl you're at some made up restaurant with and cheer me up. |
MentalCase98:Opponent? lol Oh, you thought this was a competition? Sorry fool. You want to belong so badly. You're a fuxing deluisional liar with multiple personalities. I wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire. |
MentalCase98:You were probably there waiting for your brother to land from London and went to the restroom... near his gate. FYI, you are not your brother. Just cuz you steal his passports and bank account statements to post them online, does not make you him. Many successful people have loser brothers just like you. He must hate to have to keep sending your mommy money to send to you. This fool has never gone past the security check-in of an airport. This was comedy gold. |
MentalCase98:Comedy Gold PA system throughout the airport? Lol... keep going dumbass. 😂 Some airports have 100 flights an hour and trains to take you from terminal to terminal. They do not announce throughout the airport what flights are delayed. Imagine if they did. Fuxing dumbass. They have flight boards, airline apps and text messages for that. Holy dumbass. And definitely not in lounges. In fact lounges are a relaxing generally quiet place. My flight was delayed, decided to walk to the gate and as it got delayed further chose to stay there. The PA is more localized around the gate for people waiting. Ahahhahah.. This guy has never been on a flight before. |
MentalCase98:Keep on going... This is comedy gold.... Like a blinking NEON sign saying, I've never been on a plane Holy shit, do you think people are sitting at the gate for their heath? Or are airlines just wasting time keeping people them there if they could board? What planes are the first class passengers getting on if the plane hasn't landed or is being cleaned? Try to keep up, 1st class passengers and some others get Priority boarding. Meaning it is given that they board first. It says so on their boarding pass that they get when they check in. Noone has to notify them. Mind Blown... You have never been on a plane before to understand what is happening when they call certain group numbers. |
MentalCase98:You clearly missed the insult. My boys and I were discussing cars. Two just upgraded, one got the 911 turbo s. They asked me when my turn was. We laughed. That's a normal convo for us. For you it's someone showing off. The fact that you think someone hanging in a lounge is a big deal speaks to your pockets. And we already seen your pocket. It's that poverty mentality benalvino speaks so much about. |
bemeruca:This is the point I have been making. I read that post and you were wrong. But to people not in the know about flying you may have sounded like you knew what your were talking about, but you didn't. I've booked that Lufthansa stopover in Germany flight and he was exactly right about how it works. You and slyfoxx are two peas in the same pod. Two people trying to overextend themselves outside their stations in life. |
MentalCase98:Fixed that for you. Unlike you, I can afford it. |
MentalCase98:He said, there are announcements in the lounge over the PA at busy international airports. Lol.. As I said visit the lounge at the less busy Lagos airport and you'll understand how stupid that statement is. I believe the entrance fee is 15k, so you will have to ask your mommy for next months allowance early. But this whole post is reductive. As if "regular" passengers are diseased. I'm not one for all that flexing. I leave that to my g/f. But, it's always the poorest people who hold their noses up the highest. And it's a fuxing lounge. Who cares. If that's what's got ur panties in bunch, you're not adulting right. |
MentalCase98:Thanks for posting this. Always good when you provide your own receipts to your stupidity. At one point I gave you the benefit that you might have actually left Nigeria. Now I don't believe you have ever been to an airport. You watched this video and didn't even understand what you watched. 1.) Picture 1 As I said there is no train, railway, balloon, or horse drawn carriage that takes you to your gate from the Lounge. You walk to your gate from your lounge. The first picture is the youtuber walking through the concourse from his Lounge to get to his gate. I guess you missed all those Regular passengers he had to "mingle" with in this photo. Or did you think this was all first class? This is the same walk I did yesterday (further distance). (I added the subtitles to help prove your stupidity). 2.) Picture 2 The second photo is him walking to his gate (231). As you can see there are two sides, one for Priority boarders (First, Prestige(status)) and the other side for regular (Zone 1,2,3) But, both go through the same gate(door) and the same bridge to the plane. 3.) Picture 3 The last photo is a blown up picture of the Priority sign to differentiate where the Priority people line up vs. the non Priority(zone 1,2,3) other side. Still the same gate. And if the flight is delayed as mine was yesterday, he may have opted to sit there instead of walking back to his Lounge as I did yesterday. Difference, at larger airports the lounge can be much further from the gate. You posted a clip of everything I explained yesterday.. lol. What is the point of coming to a forum to argue about shit you don't know/never experienced with people who actually do? Get your money up, worry about having more than 15k in your bank and not having to beg nairalanders for 1.5k transport fare. Then take small steps, buy an airplane ticket to Abuja, then out of the country. Learn what a gate looks like, what a Western terminal looks like. And if you want start with the lounge in the Lagos Domestic terminal... I heard it's decent.
|
MentalCase98:The more you write the clearer it is that you haven't really flown outside of Nigeria. Airport processes in Western countries after 9/11 are more security oriented. First Class passengers get A/1 priority boarding . (My status generally gives me A/1 boarding priority.) They board first and at times last (seen it once, so they aren't just waiting on the plane while eveyone else boards). And a gate is just a door. Everyone has to go through it to access a plane. So, if the plane is delayed, has issues, needs to be recleaned, EVERYONE waits at the gate. Because you asked. I have acess to a premium lounge (or First class lounge as your mind thinks it's called) in airports that have then. I can shower, eat, drink etc. And I generally do so before a second leg of a long haul (if it's not direct). Your posts always sound like you are relaying incomplete information born from the fact you haven't really experienced these things, you don't have first hand information on any of them, so you spew half nonsense from scattered posts from random websites you find online. It's the same thing you do and continue to do in this thread. The reason I was sure you had never lived in the US. You may sound like you are in the know to somone like you who is equally not in the know, but people who are (other Americans, people who fly regularly), can easily tell your Bullshitting. Continue being a purveyer of misinformation and Mr. Liar #1. He says he's the CEO of 6 companies. Same bullshit I'm talking about, curated for rather stupid people, like the Basilico's and Benvalino's of the world. Enjoy being whatever that broken mind wants you to be today. |
MentalCase98: Degrees went from 2 to 3 and he went from 2 companies to 6. lol I'm convinced Slyfoxx is setting up a profile to commit fraud on this site. The mods should check well. |
MentalCase98:Lol, why didn't you post the rest of this site with the deails about this FIrst lounge? Let's look at the Eligibity for this "First" Lounge. EligibilityClearly sounds like a Lounge for only First Class Passengers... NOT. As I said you are so far out of your depth here. You don't even understand how airports work (that everyone has to go to and at times wait at the gate for the flight), to begin to understand how lounges work. And as I said, given that I have status in one of their affiliated oneworld airlines, I'd be able to access the "First" Lounge even if I didn't buy a BA First class ticket. As I said, focus on making some money so you aren't begging nairaland for money when you are stranded. What kind of family could you be from that you are giving out your personal info on nairaland because of 1.5k? Stop stealing people's clout before one of them finds out.
|
basilico:Should we believe what u say or what nairaland says about what section you are most active?
|
MentalCase98:Or maybe you should read what you posted. Nowhere does it say "First Class". As I said they are just lounges. Some uber premium airlines may have a section in the lounge for First class tickets. But that is extremely rare. Why don't you tell me where the "first class" lounge is in Lagos airport. Do all the airlines share them? Or does each airline have their own specific one? If you thought about the economics of it you'd realize how stupid what you are saying is. But thinking isn't ur strong suit. Work on not having to sell bet9aija credits for transport money before you worry about first class tickets. A guy who can't afford 1.5k for transport is talking about a first class lounge. The sheer nuttiness of it |

That’s your level bro? Even for as much as I hate you and think you are a clown I’m actually somehow disappointed.
