Obrigardo:I think you're being generous. You're assuming that he didn't give anything's to any adversaries or that they didn't get it while he was at Marlargo. Any other person would be in jail pending trial. But Cannon just delayed his trail while she ponders his motion to move it till after the election. |
Obrigardo:You are right. In another time, it would have been THE political story. And he would have stepped away in disgrace. But, now, he may be a major party's nominee. It utter nuttiness. We all have become desensitized to his craziness and craziness in general (Boebert being groped and handing out hand jobs in a public theatre). That is going to be the curse of Trump. |
basilico:You're a pro at these logical fallacies. Every action in the Congress is derived from some power. Usually it's a vote of the majority. So absent a vote of a Majority, where is the power for the Impeachment inquiry coming from? And while you are at it, tell me, where does the Speaker pro Tempore's power come from? In fact there are people positing that he didn't have the power to kick Pelosi out of her office. In fact the whole vacated Speaker picking his replacement doesn't make sense. I'm sure the statute was designed for an incapacitated Speaker not one that was removed. I'm sure noone thought a speaker would be removed. But welcome to the chaos Republcian party, upending history. But, I'm sure they'll revisit it after this process. But this is again what I'm talking about. You're too stupid to know how stupid you really are. So, you write things without understanding how complex they really are. |
I even hate visitng OANN. The way he's talking Gaetz may get Cawthorned. Gaetz Says The Impeachment Inquiry For Biden Is Not A Legitimate Effort https://www.oann.com/newsroom/gaetz-says-the-impeachment-inquiry-for-biden-is-not-a-legitimate-effort/

Was wondering about this after McCarthy got sh$tcanned. Very interesting and would make sense.

How Trump was talked into — and out of — a run for speaker A behind-the-scenes campaign coaxed the former president out of a quixotic campaign. https://www.politico.com/news/2023/10/06/trump-jim-jordan-house-speaker-endorsements-00120320 It's telling that on a secret ballot Republican House members most likely wouldn't vote for Trump. Aligns with all the reporting that Republican leaders privately believe Trump is exactly who Democrats publicly say he is (a buffoon and an idiot).

basilico:The truth is what you post is the type of writing/discourse I assume I'd get if I sat in a community college class. You guys aren't bright, and your ramblings are just that.. Ramblings. It starts with the premise that you can understand the cultural underpinnings of a land you've never been to. Is that logical to you? I can't even begin to imagine the amount of time and crazy it takes to try to understand the minute details of a Constitution and Fed and State legislative structure of a land you have no ties to. I can't imagine you have much time for anything else. Do you sit at your dinner table and try to impress your partner(if you have one) with the fact that the US vacated it's Speaker's seat? It's nutz. And to the contrary, I seek out alternate opinions. I just like informed ones. I generally try to read the National Review (which is supposed to make the intellectual case for the Conservative movement) and even there I find most of the stuff they write asinine. But, you, you're an uninformed idiot, so yes if you left maybe a conservative who was brighter would post, one who would be be a better advocate for whatever the conservative position is. And we would have less lunatic rantings. |
budaatum:I assume to successfully prosecute Trump the government would have to prove the information he leaked was accurate and he wasn't making it up. In order to do that they have to verify it in court. Right now it's a rumor, though it may be true. |
Obrigardo:I wonder if they can't prosecute him for this as they would have to talk about this openly in court and to jurors. I don't think I saw it mentioned in any of the indictments either. But here comes the fun part. Jack Smith's team doesn't leak. Who leaked this and why? Reads like it was the Australian billionaire (Pratt) maybe looking out for Republicans and trying to hurt Trump now and/or inoculate him from the info coming out during the General election. |
If true Absolutely Bonkers and this has to come close to treasonous And this would be the man Republicans want to have more secrets. According to Pratt's account, as described by the sources, Pratt told Trump he believed Australia should start buying its submarines from the United States, to which an excited Trump -- "leaning" toward Pratt as if to be discreet -- then told Pratt two pieces of information about U.S. submarines: the supposed exact number of nuclear warheads they routinely carry, and exactly how close they supposedly can get to a Russian submarine without being detected.https://abcnews.go.com/US/after-white-house-trump-allegedly-discussed-potentially-sensitive/story?id=103760456

This is how the National Review is trolling for donations. Hunter Biden. Lol.. Conservatives have lost their minds.

BornAgainCow:I think you are one of the worst posters here. Outside of your multiple deranged personalities, you're just a stenographer of right wing talking points. If you, basilico and benalvino disappeared, people could actually have "intellectual" conversations here free from the blather you post. You see, honesty! |
budaatum:Good for her. I dislike her. The rational image she portrays hides(not well) the crazy that she is. Glad people are seeing it now. I'm hoping this is the moment, the pre Trump Republicans realize the mistake they made. Amazing that the Dems and the legal system gave them opportunity after opportunity to get rid of Trump. I bet they wish they would have taken anyone of them now. Instead they enabled him and propped him. |
BornAgainCow:Not an intellectual? You don't say? Who would have pegged you otherwise? Clearly this isn't the Slyfoxx personality speaking. I think he and his degrees from Cambridge and Upenn (at the same time) may want to disagree. I was going to say this was probably one of the most self-aware things you've ever said then you ruined it with the "more honest in my contributions" part. Can a habitual liar claim to be honest? Or, do you not count the lies of your other personalities? |
happney65:I think Biden isn't planning on getting anything major passed till after the election in 2024. Well outside Ukraine aid. But, you have a good point. I do think Americans (though the electorate can be daft), at this point understand the chaos Trump brings. So, overall I think they'll get it. And I think most Republican Congresspeople get it as well. But, we'll see. |
ono:This is a misunderstanding of all this. Yes, you are right that Trump as speaker will cause havoc for the country. But in terms of an election, it will help Biden. Right now Biden is the incumbent, so Trump can "run" as the "outsider". The minute he takes a speakership role, he'll be equally responsible for legislating. And then Biden can compare and contrast leadership styles. Trump lost in 2020 because he was chaos incarnate; watch the chaos that ensues as Speaker, like shutting down the government. In terms of what's good for the country, the Dems would hate it, but in terms of pure politics, it's a Godsend for Dems. Also, Republicans won the house in the midterms by flipping Dem held seats and through extreme Republican Gerrymandering. The courts have reversed some of that gerrymandering. Such that, based on the seats the Republicans won in 2022, going into 2024 just based on the court ordered district changes, they would lose the House. Now add the fact that they will now be competing for those seats in a General Election? They'll most likely lose the flipped seats as well. Why you ask? There is a greater turnout in General Elections where people are voting for President. And those people that turnout, generally just vote for the same Party as their Presidential pick(a lot of people don't spend the time to research each candidate). So, flipped House seats in Dem districts in a state like NY will most likely look different in 2024 with a greater turnout given Biden and Trump will be on the ticket. And ask yourself, do you think Trump is going to fare well in a state like NY? |
PDPGuy:Agreed that they would just ignore the rules (Republicans are good at that), but disagree that Trump would be speaker. There are too many Republicans who won seats in moderate (swing) districts for that to happen. Can't imagine them going to their constituents in say a swing district in NY, and explaining they thought it was prudent to elect a person who is under multiple federal criminal indictments and a person the NY court said just committed fraud. Especially when Trump will most likely lose their districts by a wide margin. Survival would steal the day as getting reelected is the only way to continue their grift. |
sanpipita:Nice response, but the fact that Dems are even defending themselves here is bothering me. McCarthy spent money electing the same 8 people who decided to get rid of him. You can't court crazy people, be the crazy party and expect the Democratic party to bail you out when you've done everything to trash them. The Dems stood up in the vote. I hope they keep standing up. Imagine being mad at Dems because your party didn't want you as Speaker. |
McCarthy will not run for Speaker again. Hey hey, goodbye Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey, goodbye Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey, goodbye Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey, goodbye |
Obrigardo:They can't govern, but I disagree with Fleisher's reason. The Republicans are very disciplined. They can stay on message and in unison push the same message over and over. The problem is that they don't have any real policies. Their propaganda isn't policy. And when they get their chance to govern, it never works, because their soundbites don't account for the intricacies of making laws. Like Repeal and Replace ObamaCare. How did that work out? |
BornAgainCoww:You seem quite triggered and somewhat incoherent. Might want to double up on ur meds. Don't want your Timesup personality coming out and threatening to bomb Nigerian Schools Again. Take your meds slyfoxx. |
BornAgainCoww:Slyfoxx/TimesUp/BornAgainCow and your other 100 personalities, I see your off your meds again and following me from thread to thread. Go rest. |
linearity:Exactly! The son of the President being overcharged. Could never happen in Nigeria. |
BornAgainCoww:Quick question, which one of your personalities went on this date? Given that you've written about 7 posts about/to me the last hour, it seems the only date your physical body had was with your keyboard. These personalities of yours. You are a lunatic. |
sanpipita:They vacated the Speakership. McCarthy has been removed. |
happney65:I think they decided not to. They better not. At least not now. And at least without concessions for their help. |
sanpipita:Reason why Trump lost 2020 and will lose again in 2024. Americans are tired of the constant drama. |
theamazonguru:Your're right. But in a different way. A holdover form Trum's admin is charging a President's Son for something that is rarely if ever charged. A law that if applied to everyone, would mean that anyone who smokes Weed and owns a gun would be prosecuted and indicted. He was charged for checking no on the form below.
|
franchasofficia:I feel ya. Seen my share of crazy turbulence on small planes. But, as you said, God is in control and you can only control what you can control. Stay safe. |
BornAgainCoww:Lol. Loser. What would your hero Andrew Tate call you if he read this? He'd call you a simp. Looks like you flunked your final at Andrew Tate's Hustler University. A dude who's mother gives him transport money, has to beg women in Lagos to date him and pays 1k for ashawo wouldn't understand. Stay in your lane and focus on managing your multiple personalities. |
BornAgainCoww:It seems the underlying theme of your post is. "Only losers should spend time posting here". And by all accounts you and your 100 user names spend much more time on here than I or most people here (Or should I give you another excel lesson to jog your memory?). So it must be true…. You really are a loser. |
basilico:Ur tiring. Who writes an article doesn't matter if the source of the article comes out and says what the article described is True. John Kelly was a source. He came out and said what the article said is true. So, the Atlantic was correct in it's reporting. Your beef is with John Kelly. |
