At the end of the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, Team Nigeria has finished in eighth position, winning 11 gold, 11 silver and 14 bronze medals. Sports Minister, Dr. Tammy Danagogo, has praised Blessing Okagbare, who was the country’s star of the championship and other athletes for representing the country well. Okagbare clinched a sprint double in the 100m and 200m, becoming the 11th woman ever to accomplish the feat and the first Nigerian. She was only denied a treble by the Jamaican quartet in the women’s 4X100m final. Danagogo said: “Okagbare has shown that with determination you can achieve your dream in whatever endeavour you set out for yourself. She has been consistent over the years and has remained focused despite missing the ultimate medal in some competitions before now.” “I want to congratulate the other medalists for their effort and hope that they will build on their successes in Glasgow for future competitions especially as we begin preparations for the 2016 Olympic Games.” The Minister however expressed his disappointment after 16-year-old Chika Amalaha, was stripped of her gold medal for failing a doping test. “My heart bleeds for this 16-year-old girl,” he said. “She looks too innocent to commit such an offence. She is naive. We must get to the root of this. The coaches and our anti-doping officials have questions to answer. Why didn’t they do their jobs before coming here to disgrace Nigeria? “It’s disappointing that we have highly placed anti-doping officials who did not do their jobs. It is embarrassing and severe punishments will be meted out to those officials either for their involvement or negligence, as a deterrent. Congrats to Nigerian Women...u made us proud ![]() |
MRLANNISTER: Variety is the spice of life. Comprende? No I dnt ![]() |
tosyne2much: me sef no agree ooooo... If a married man runs after a single lady as a prey for sex, does dat come by nature ?U know we've focussed so much on relationships...I can condone cheating in relationships to an extent but cheating in marriage is very bad.y marry someone u can't stick to?its for better for worse and every issue can always be sorted out |
angela98: [quote author=ijekul....na wah o. What she did to you is not good. This is the kind of experience that makes men to have little trust for women. Her behavior was somehow inconsiderate and thoughtless. Meanwhile, if na you do her dis kain thing now, she go judge you give everybody say you mean..hmm.. Not good. Me I love transparency in relationship. I detest dodgy things..na wahAnd to imagine we've been together for years...shit happens anyway.its all in the past now ![]() |
kapiljanet: it is physical and natural, no one intend to do, it comes by nature, applicable for both men and women. Are u serious?cheating comes by nature?I choose to disagree.tnx ![]() |
angela98: abeg gist me.Ntn much...wasn't in town for about some months but I was in regular contact with my gf.we spoke on phone almost everyday and some nights we would talk close to an hour.I came back and discovered through a friend she was cheating on me.the friend went as far as sending me pix to prove it.I did further research and found more pix on d guy's facebook account.when I approached her at 1st,she denied it.I then told her I had pix to prove it.she was shocked as she thought I would never find out.I didn't even give her a chance to explain and I left.she later came to my place and tried to explain denying she never slept at his place and didn't take him serious.I told her I 4gave her and I didn't have an issue with her so she could leave.she broke up with the guy and he got my number from my friend who found out d whole affair who also happens to be his classmate and called me.he begged to see me and I obliged him.he told me they dated and she neva made mention of me.that I was her ex and she could never go back to her vomit.I felt so terrible and sad.told me she slept over at his place several times and would cook at times for him and his sisters.by then d love I had for her had turned to hate.I detested her.y didn't she tell me the truth from d beginning,y did she allow me to find out d hard way even when I gave her two opportunities to tell me the truth...she later told me she dated him out of pity as he had a very bad breakup and was disturbing her 4 a relationship and she agreed but didn't take him serious she didn't take him serious but she could cook for him and spend the nite severally and av the guts to tell me he didn't touch her!Chei |
I think 30k to add up and celebrate her birthday and she was worth more 'at that time'...dnt regret it though |
angela98: its not only u that feel that way, I have loads of friends who feels that way in their relationship. But in my relationship I Dont consider that has important. U know people are different. Trust me, a lady who really want to cheat on her man will do it right under her mans nose without him knowing.Your last statement really brings plenty of bad memories ![]() |
angela98: you do have a good point..but it depends on the angle you are looking at it from. more so individual relationship differs. Like in my relationship I won't consider that as the start of cheating or cheating. I have well established mutual trust and respect in my relationship. I am not that type of woman who goes through her partners phone or try to monitor his movement. Because I believe relationship should never be a prison or a cage. Obssession in relationship causes unhealthy emotional unrest. I and my partner respects each other privacy and work well together to succeed. Individual relationship differsOk I now see where your coming from.Am that kind of person too who usually don't care what your phone looks like or the contents in as much as there is mutual respect and responsibility.I always get suspicious when a girl always put a security code on her phone and always want to be alone while receiving calls.I do feel the person has a lot to hide...that's me tho! |
Deapexboy: Every averega nigeria will see cheating as part of of life(part of flexing) but the truth is that 70% of nigerians cheat, 20% are those who will cheat in future and 10% are the ugly one's (hmmmm na joke oo)Owk am impressed because you have given reasons I can associate with.though I believe cheating isn't a solution to heartbreak neither should it be used as a form of revenge.if u truly love someone and that person hurts u,I believe quiting that relationship is a better way out.with time u'll see someone who truly deserves u.most times people associate relationship with sex but I can confidently say that even if there is sex in the relationship, people still cheat.people will always find a way or avenue to cheat even if their partner were to be super creative on bed or super rich.self control, contentment and the fear of God is really needed in our relationships.in Nigeria, cheating is more like d norm.its nt really a big deal as most pple are doing it and nt doing it seems like ur being left out or ur nt wise.its really a big problem |
ebamma: Even bible talk say man shall not live by bread aloneU think so ...anyway that's your opinion even though I don't agree with it. |
OkikiOluwa1: That's talking about those that cheat to get revenge.Yea because its more mature that way |
jnrbayano: 1. People cheat because it's human nature just like sin is also human nature. (Seeking gratification of flesh)I kind of agree with u more...lack of self control is really a major cause.thanks |
joromi: According to evolutionary psychology,Mmmmmm I dnt really follow u know...I had an ex who cheated on me with a 200h level guidance and counselling student, who I was head and shoulders above both in terms of looks and finance and she said d guy was aving emotional issues because he had a bad breakup and she dated him out of pity.can u reconsile that? some people are just nuts ![]() |
tosyne2much: If am to arrange the reasons why ppl cheat by hierarchy, I guess d first on d list shld be Covetousness , den evry oda tin can be added unto itMmmmmm u think so? |
angela98: People cheat because they lack the self discipline to resist the natural forces of sexaul attraction. Such people without realising it might become unprincipled. They may lost sense of self as they are wrecked with the emotional feelings of lust. They automatically lost control of their senses and no longer have the control over their sexaul urges. Their brain become preoccupied with the need to satisfy the hunger of their flesh. Anyway, enough grammar. People cheat because they lack discipline and self control. Nonetheless, there are many other material factors that can make people cheat that will depends on individual relationship.Buh u do realise cheating starts from the moment u start deleting messages even on ur phone, keeping secrets and hiding stuffs from your partner.sometimes it doesn't necessarily have to do with sex or lust |
OkikiOluwa1: Op, this is a JAMB question. Go & buy form for exam!Owk I understand your point but lemme ask u...would u not rather break up and move on than cheat?does cheating make things better? |
