[b]Confession of a self acclaimed cultist: Why I killed four Eiye members A tailor and a hard-working one at that, who was described as cool-headed and compassionate, his arrest only confirmed that indeed, facial expression can be deceptive. In an encounter with 32-year-old Kabiru Ahmed, he made a startling revelation on his activities and role as a cultist. His story is such that sends shivers down one’s spine and his bravado at unleashing mayhem. One of such revelations was how he gunned four rival members to death, as he claimed they were responsible for the death of the herbalist that provided charms for him. Ahmed, who hails from Kano state, confessed that he was the hitman of the infamous Aiye confraternity. His story is not like the usual, but, a show of desperation. Further disaster by him was curtailed by the iron hands of the Anti-Cultism Unit of the Lagos State Police Command. He revealed that he was initiated to the confraternity in the year 2010, and was the group’s butcher before his arrest. According to him; ‘I have carried out several assignments to fight or kill members of other rival groups. I killed four members of the Eiye confraternity last year. I was on a mission to avenge the death of our Babalawo (herbalist) , who initiated me into the group. The death of ‘Babalawo’ led to a killing spree of members of and their rival, Eiye. First, late Babalawo’s squad at Apapa avenged his death by killing a member of the Eiye confraternity who was also one of its strong men. In retaliation, Eiye group stormed the Apapa squad, killed some of our members and injured others. Among those killed in , was a guy we called Bebeto. As if that wasn’t enough, after some weeks, Eiye struck again and killed two of our strong members: Angola and his friend, Shekpe. “When news of their death filtered in, some of our members fled to Fadeyi, but the Eiye men there, saw one of them inside a bus and with the aid of traffic congestion, our member was dragged out of the commercial vehicle and killed. his corpse was dumped at Ojurin, in Fadeyi. Again, another Black Axeman was killed, with his body yet to be recovered”. When I heard of Babalawo’s death and others that were killed, I took it upon myself to avenge their death. I called one of my friends, Amaru, who is also a strong member of Aiye and usually supplied us guns when needed. I told him I needed a gun urgently and he said it would cost me N25,000 to get the type of gun I needed. I saved up some money from my tailoring work and sent it to Amaru to help me purchase the gun’’. Armed with the needed weapon, he said he decided to take rivals one after the other. Hear him: ‘’One day, I was in a restaurant at Ebute-Meta and overheard a guy telling his friend that there would be a party at a night club in Ebute Meta, being organized by members of Eiye group. Immediately I heard it, I made up my mind to strike that night. I made straight for the venue, with my gun. I waited patiently , outside, for the right time to strike. “When I sighted a group of Eiye members approaching, I went close them and shot one of them, while others fled. I also escaped. ‘’I killed two other Eiye members during a street fight between our group and theirs. I shot one of them dead, while another member was stabbed to death. The fourth killing was done on a fateful night. A member of my group led me to a street in Fadeyi where I shot an Eiye member to death. After the killing, he said news of his involvement went round the area. He said, “People began to suspect I was a cultist. I told my mum that something was fishy and that I wanted to leave the area for a while. “I stopped relating with other members of my group to avoid further suspicion. But it was too late to readjust. I was in my house when some policemen came to pick me in connection with a recent fight I wasn’t part of”. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2020/03/confession-of-a-self-acclaimed-cultist-why-i-killed-four-eiye-members/amp/

A Special Broadcast on Covid-19 by the Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, Chief Willie Obiano on Saturday April 25, 2020 to Update Ndi Anambra on the Latest Development. Ndi Anambra, ekenem unu. Once again, I am here to give you an update on our fight against Coronavirus (Covid-19) in Anambra State. When I addressed you on Wednesday this week, I informed you that a second post-treatment test on our Index Case had returned negative and that I had directed the Commissioner of Health to ensure his immediate discharge from our Protective Care Center. Well, I am delighted to inform you that our Index Case has been discharged and has re-united with his family. Ndi Anambra, his speedy recovery further confirms my earlier assurances that we have made the necessary preparation required to fight Covid-19. So, I urge you not to fear but rather exercise your faith in God. Covid-19 is not a death sentence. And if we fight together and do what is expected of us, we shall win! Update on the Results of Contacts of Index Case: Ndi Anambra in my last broadcast to you, I informed you that we had submitted the samples of the 36 people that had direct contact with the Index Case for testing. I am happy to announce here today, that the results have all returned negative. All in all, we have sent 68 tests out of which only one returned positive (and that was our Index Case). However, we are awaiting the result of just one sample at the moment. With these results, we are encouraged to do more together to ensure that our beloved state is safe for all of us. We are encouraged to work harder, to fight harder and to sacrifice even more to keep Anambra State free from Coronavirus. Letting in some fresh air: Ndi Anambra, following the outcome of all the tests we have conducted so far and the impressive cooperation we have received from our people in these past few weeks, we are encouraged to make a few adjustments to our strategy against the pandemic in the following areas - All food markets including restaurants and bars in Anambra State are to reopen for normal business with immediate effect. However they must comply with the principles of social distancing. They are to provide hand-washing points with soap and hand sanitizers at the entry points into the markets. Today makes it 28 days since we locked all our markets. As result, I have scheduled a meeting with the leaders of all the markets in Anambra State for Monday, April 27, 2020 to review our position and agree on when to reopen our markets. All our boundaries with neighbouring states remain completely closed. Only people on essential services and haulage trucks with essential commodities are allowed passage after a thorough check and confirmation by the security personnel at the boundaries. The illegal motor parks operating at the boundaries shall be quickly dismantled with immediate effect. Crossing the boundaries on foot is not allowed. The law enforcement has been directed to see to that. With regards to religious groups, leaders of the church should ensure that worshippers comply with the standards protocols of Covid-19 which includes wearing of face masks to church, use of hand sanitizers, social distancing and regular washing of hands. Church leaders should decide how best to conduct mass and service in strict adherence to the principles of social distancing to ensure that worshippers are not endangered. Please note that there should be no crusades and vigils for the time being. Movement within Anambra State has now been reopened. The directive on the wearing of face masks remains fully in force. Nobody should step out of their homes without wearing a face mask. We shall continue to emphasize strict compliance with the globally accepted Covid-19 protocol of regular hand-washing, regular use of hand-sanitizers and other social-distancing rules. Ndi Anambra are advised to contact the Anambra State Public Health Emergency Operation Center immediately (PHEOC) once they feel unwell. The PHEOC numbers are 09034728047. 08117567363,09034668319, 08163594310,08145434416. WhatsApp: 09033605959. SMS: 09074285546 Appreciation of Donors: I am most grateful to Ndi Anambra for your donations both to the state and to the various communities. We shall keep updating the list of donors to ensure that no one is left out or denied due recognition. You may visit www.absradiotv.com for details. Appreciation of Healthcare Workers: In conclusion, Ndi Anambra, we must continue to appreciate our health workers who occupy the frontline position in the fight against this pandemic. Their commitment to our collective well-being should inspire us to take more responsibility for our health and the health of our communities. We shall continue to remember them in our prayers meditations. However, to encourage more commitment from our healthcare workers, I am delighted to announce that the 4 doctors who handled our Index Case, along with the 2 nurses, the pharmacist, the cleaner and the ambulance driver who took him to the Preventive Care Center shall be awarded a Medal of Honour from the Government of Anambra State and a cash award that will be announced subsequently. It is my hope that this gesture will encourage our healthcare workers to do more in the future. We must also thank the law enforcement agents who are putting in so much work to ensure that our people comply with the observances of Covid-19. On behalf of the good people of Anambra State, I say “thank you” to you all! I’d also like to announce here that members of the Civil Society Organization have been co-opted into the Covid-19 Committee. Ndi Anambra, no society was ever adequately prepared for Covid-19. Every society has been responding to this pandemic in its own way and within its own ability. In Anambra, we have responded to it as a government, as a people and as individuals. And I am delighted to say that the outcome has been so far, so good! Umu nnem, let’s keep fighting together, praying together and looking out for each other. I am sure that if we sustain this spirit, we shall all be winners in the end! Thank you! God bless Anambra State God bless Nigeria Dalunu *Chief Sir. richAgnostic:You need enlightenment abi? There it is below! On 10 July 1999 eight students were killed at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ile-Ife, allegedly by members of cults operating at the university (The News 19 July 1999). One of the suspects in the killings told The News that the killings were carried out in order to remove obstacles to the operations at the university of a cult known as "the Neo-Black Movement ()" (ibid.). The suspect added that the Neo-Black Movement was allied with two other secret cults, the Eiye Confraternity and the NAS ("Sea Dogs" , and that this alliance was in effect at three other universities, in addition to OAU: University of Lagos (UNILAG), University of Benin (UNIBEN) and Ibadan Polytechnic (ibid.). Following the OAU killings, the head of the NAS, Ben Oguntuase, on 13 July 1999 addressed an "open letter to Nigerian students on banditry" in which he strongly condemned the involvement of fraternities in university violence, adding that the purpose of fraternities is to help their members meet challenges and to help less fortunate members of society (ibid.). In addition, NAS founder Wole Soyinka, a graduate of OAU, condemned the killings and promised to help the victims' families (Post Express Wired 24 July 1999; The News 31 Aug. 1999)On 18 June 1997 two students at Polytechnic Ibadan were "feared dead" and several were injured as a result of a fight between members of the NAS ("Pyrates" and the Eiye cult/fraternity groups (Post Express Wired 24 June 1997).On 6 March 1998 twenty-one students were denied the right to graduate by the university authorities at the Federal College of Education in Abeokuta, because of their alleged involvement in two cult/fraternity groups, the Eiye and the NAS ("Pyrate" groups (Post Express Wired 13 Mar. 1998).On 13 April 1999 three students were killed at the University of Calabar in a fight between members of two cult/fraternity groups, the Buccaneers and NAS ("Pyrate Confraternity" (Post Express Wired 15 Apr. 1999).All confraternity is evil and demonic! Again I repeat, nothing like good cult!! Those reports above are the few ones that were able to be published for public awareness!!! #SayNoToCultism |
richAgnostic:You think say na only Aye, Eiye, Vikings dey kill? Because their hits are widely published and the low key confraternities are the good ones and don't kill?? Make I tell you, Confra na Confra! All na the same thing! Nothing like good Confra and bad Confra!!! All is evil and the end product is destruction.... This thread is to reveal the hidden secret of cultism, it's an eye opener to people like you who fantasize to belong because of their songs can you listen to yourself? And why are you even listening to cultists gyration when you are not a member?? You think those songs are ordinary The more you listen to it, the more it enchants your subconscious to join them or do something evil....A word is enough for the wise! Shun Cultism!! Cultism is evil!!! Say No to Cultism!!!! |
