PhonesRe: Before You Put A Screen Lock On Your Phone Read This by Ijeoma660(f): 7:22pm On Jul 24, 2016

A friend of mine was involved in a a motor accident on his way makurdi, somewhere in a remote part of benue state, according to eye witnesses he became unconscious and was rushed to the local health centre around that area for first aid treatment.

The good samaritans that helped were able to locate his two phones and they tried contacting his family or friends to inform them of his where about, but to their disappointment the two phones were locked. He stayed in the state of coma for two good days before finally giving up the ghost, because the local health centre lacked the professionals to keep him alive.
Had his phone been accessible he might have stood a better chance of being alive today.

So avoid putting a screen lock on all your phones, it's okay to lock certain applications that may contain personal messages and informations e.g mobile banking app, WhatsApp e.t.c. but at least leave the contact list accessible to everybody, DON'T PUT A SCREEN LOCK.
This might just save your life.
I recommend the use of this app, it allows you selectively lock different apps.

My suggestion, make an offer to the seller that you are willing to buy, but after an experiment: buy a few blocks and cement, get permission from the current owner and start erecting a small shed on it. You don't need foundation, or even try to do any lintel, just build a small square wall about 5ft per side, 5 coaches up. Then wait a few months before paying any money. During that wait time, add another coach of blocks every few months, which should start drawing attention.

Since it's nothing permanent, the owner should not object, and it should draw out other interested parties. I think this is cheaper than lawyers or police, and at worst, you'd lose 10k insurance. At best, you can go ahead and complete it when you've purchased the land.

After having to buy the same land twice, then paying for police and lawyers, this is now my preferred method to see who owns land. Any objections, then I walk away from the deal.
Great idea, but rather than build anything, why not tip a trip of sand or laterite there. You don't want to keep building everywhere before finally settling for a land to pay for. At least you can always pack away your sand to a new location...funny though.

RomanceRe: Should I Cancel My Marriage Plans? by Ijeoma660(f):

Unfortunately, cheating is a problem that sticks around no matter how many times and how penitent he may sound if he admits to it. Reminds me of an adage that says no matter what you do to a cat, it would still steal fish because its attracted by the eyes not its back that you beat on.

Marriage is no games my dear, its better to be single than be in a relationship that is filled with suspicion, hate feelings for the one you are supposed to love above all. Your feeling of insecurity is worse still as you can not police a full grown man.

If you decide to go on, bear in mind you would still have to trust him if you want to love him. Any reason to make you doubt his honesty will take years to regain your trust and confidence for him again.

Forget about financial involvement and all that's already in for the marriage. Just think, what if he contracts a disease and transfers it to you, would money and all that is now involved matter anymore to you?

Imagine him bringing home a child and asks for your forgiveness are you ready to foster a child not yours.

In as much as I am not trying to discourage you but painting the different scenarios that can play out in the future.

There are still men who are chaste and they are out there if infidelity means much to you.

My candid advice to you is don't go on with this marriage plans, as this would be one of the recurring decimals you would still see.

Above all pray and ask for God's help in your desire to get married and seek an experienced marriage counselor for this and other marriage engagement plans.

In all honesty, there are only three builders on Nairaland. In alphabetical order, They are (1) Aventures (2) Segcymoor (3) Spyder. These are builders that has set the pace for others to follow. No controversies, no dirty games, no sharp practises in their dealings with clients. Gentlemen, keep up the good work! Aventures, you have done extremely well with this project so far.
What of Brabus?

Quite honest and fair.

i wish my dear seniors would assist with their own sides to this.

I urge you all to remember Edmund Burke's thoughts..."The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. "

If he is a good man please tell us if he is not please do the honorable thing by being blunt. It would do no good to cover evil and only make more people victims regrettably.

Advice to run a background check on NL alone is not enough at least customer review could be sought from you.

Much appreciated allthesame.

Dear honourable seniors of this good forum, kindly do the newbies here a good favour by telling us who this guy called Bosun really is. There seems to be many sides to him and I happen to like his fashionable ways and approach to building. Is he a genuine contractor to work with?

Please your honest opinions.

Thank you.

Lovely home...looking so beautifully finished.

Can I suggest you put some kerbs around the facade and plant some colourful flowers , I am so sure it will immediately increase the value of the house northwards?
