PoliticsRe: Nigerians Suggest Akin Adesina Should Run For President After Pics With Trump by iJhoe(m): 3:05pm On Aug 27, 2019
Damod88:
Social media has exposed how unreasonable most Nigerians youths are. It is in their nature to react instinctively without thought. Well maybe one should assume that most young people on nairaland are kids without much knowledge. What is going to happen to so many of them is that they are going to be used by politicians to achieve their goals because they are easily manipulable. Can you imagine them calling upon Adesina to contest for president of Nigeria, a man so many of them don't know anything about.

The problem of Nigeria is not about having well qualified individuals to rule only. Even if all our elected leaders are all P. hd holders we will still remain backward. Those intellectuals you see are just intellectuals in name. So many of them don't really understand anything about this world. Without having individuals who are ideologically committed to a goal to take charge of Nigeria Nigeria will probably remain underdeveloped. We don't have to rely entirely on the fairy tales of democracy and hope that we are going to develop. This is no going to happen because no country has ever developed with democracy.Nigeria is not going to be an exception. You can't practice democracy with huge deficits of illiteracy ,poverty and backwardness. You first need a strong government with the determination to defeat the evil of illiteracy, poverty and backwardness before you can be talking about Human Rights and freedom, because the most important of human rights is the right to food, clothing and shelter and without all these rights all other rights are nonsense. This is what China has been able to do with its authoritarian political system, and India despite its so called democracy has remained a poor stinking society.

Democracy will only make it easier for the rich and those who are able to manipulate the masses to get to power and continue to enrich themselves at the expense of the people. No real development is going to take place. People will criticize, fight and protest but at the end of it all nothing will change. The funny thing is that one group of corrupt politicians will attempt to seize power from those the masses perceive as corrupt to also continue another round of corruption. This is how things are going to play out. No real development takes place in a backward democracy at least for the majority.
the true worth of a man is not in his words but his deeds. So far as i can tell Adeshina is a man with proven track records as a Minister and as AFDB chairman. How honourable.

Maybe uar right redefining democracy so abstractly. The true test of democracy in any nation of the world is determined by its leadership, put simply, leadership requisite is a determinant factor in a democratic society.

Once a leader is identified, a thorough background check will be done no doubt then if such a leader had a scam-tainted past, such is leader at any level of influence and affluence should be disregarded. Yet, once uar qualified, YOU ARE QUALIFIED. I believe in good leadership if at least i dont enjoy any other thing being a Nigerian. Thank you

How well can a leader be presented: charisma, educated, doggedness, articulate, cosmopolitan are all eclats of fine leadership.

Time to support good leadership

PoliticsRe: Genesis Of Distrust Between Igbo's And Yoruba's — By Ojukwu (Video) by iJhoe(m):
You can argue this all day for all you care. The last time i checked, good strata of people were blaiming Hausas for the problems and disunity, at other times, it was the Igbos and now, the narrative has been etched upon the Yorubas. It adsurdly funny that these arguments are unending. There is nothing more dishearthening than seeing us-youths arguing and pushing narratives that transcend against our growth and development. Until we value and embrace the spirit of togetherness, we would continually see our existence as a fluke while blaming others for our woes and failures. With our smidgen differences take America for instance, there are Latino-America, Indian-America, Asian-America, Mexican-American and the famed Black-AMERICAN which America so far has blended well to forge good growth economically, technologically and in every of her endeavours. The mannerism and display at which most youths flagrantly dispose this fluidity shit that one tribes cause the problems and the other tribes just have to endure. It practically solves nothing but brood hatred disunity and discord in our polity. We cant be pieces-fit. Until of course we accept we are one only then do we begin to see the change we desire.

Take a wild quess, think of more of what we stand to gain, it matters to you at all than we are loosing.

Stop the baseless arguments people, lets focus to see how things will move forward, rather than focusing on past that brought us to this momentary woes.

A lot of people are slaves to bravery. When they see others do what they couldnt do they hate them for it. They have a knack for it. The entire image of themselves — their clothes, job, political views and even their approach to life are presented and laser-focused on this belief.

I support a man who stand for he believed in while putting his life on the line

PoliticsRe: Why Sowore Should Tender An Unreserved Apology by iJhoe(m): 2:34pm On Aug 06, 2019
What most people dont understand is that the FG is controlling the narratives to miscontruing the obvious meaning inherent from the infamous 'revolution' tag. Call it what u like its meaning and effect is lulled pragmatically to mean 'rise Nigeria, open your eyes'. It makes me wondering how unarmed protesters will dethrone a sitting government who had all the state apparatus in place to divulge when it so pleases. Then, i suspect there is an underlying imagination spired by the govt that such gathering is viled and ladened with malicious intents to displace and insert. why do they have anything to fear? Are they not the govt of people and why is the govt revolting against its own people while the most despicable elements are killing at will

This is outrageous, so far so good most Nigerians are in total support of Sowore, hate it or love it. then, he had encrypted the mind of millions. Yet, the govt in place is trying to control the naratives with negative connotations. manipulation is their tool

I'd tell u that 'the way to live is also the way to die'
PoliticsRe: I Am Not The Only One Asking For A Revolution - Sowore by iJhoe(m): 6:49pm On Aug 05, 2019
Love, hate, detest or perhaps pretend not to do any. The clock is sure tickling with the cacophony of revolution, only the sane minded and who can see beyond a situation will understand. It is definitely implied, you cant miss it. U can sit down somewhere and punch ur clickbaits and vommitting fodders for all u care.as the crow flies people get angry and frustrated as every day goes by.

Maybe revolution might just be enough but revolting, then you will realize that
'people dont revolt when they are scared but when they are angry'

Why are Yoruba people accusing innocent Fulani herdsmen wrongly of killing a criminal farmer in his farm?

It is Osiskankwu that killed that farmer in his farm, the Yorubas should stop labelling innocent Fulanis as killers.
This must be Evans' brothers. Release the herdsmen they are innocent, they always are cheesy

Right from the onset his always selfish
Then i'd say you must be the most blind here no doubt. U must have been bittered about Obasanjo's outright confrontations to clutter his words to the face of the presidency amidst sundry wits and contradictions. I took time to critically examine his speech and quess what? It's all the truth perhaps, tell me how the public letter defies logicality to what is momentarily happening, if u find any, please then give us ur suggestion or solution, if u have any huh!?. U see if u dont have anything to die for u aint worth to be a human. If u talk u will die and u dont talk u will die, needful or needless make a choice. The speech is the most articulated for well meaning Nigerians and those who have their moral compass intact and not discounted to crass uncritical thinkings.

If the public letter is wrong u should point out a phrase, sentence at least in order of words rather than be sentimentally attached. That's what moral degenerates do, are u one?
