Politics / The Monetary Value Of Pride In Your Identity by Ikengawo: 12:13am On Jul 18, 2019
I'll keep this short.

Nigerians grew up watching american musicians. Nigerians grew up watching American movies. They did everything they could to be and mimic the things the saw. People started speaking coulda shoulda woulda and wiririri, some even started using Innit up and down.

One day, a group of Nigerians said you know what, I'm proud of who I am.
Started making African movies for Africans, now 1 million people have jobs, and 10,000 have fortunes because of this.
Started making African music for Africans, now 1 million people have jobs, and 10,000 have fortunes because of this.

These songs are as local as possible as is the music

but now the innit and wiririri people are growing up watching Nigerian movies and listening to Nigerian music.

If your efforts aren't working for you, remember who you are and try again.

Thanks. When last did you eat cow meat?

lol you actually have no use. I know you want to be important and want to 'develop' Nigeria, but it will never happen because even the marsupial frequency of Nigerian leaders is higher than what you can comprehend as a bush shrew.

Do I live in your zoo country? Lol. Rossikk, stop being stupid and naive, you're old now.

All these people here that come in daily to condemn Fulani herdsmen, why don't you people put your mouth where your mouth is (excuse the pun) and BOYCOTT THEIR MEAT altogether?

I mean, you don't give a damn where or how they rear their cattle. You don't want them anywhere near you. You view the RUGA idea with contempt and utterly reject it.

But you cannot do without eating their meat on a daily basis. Beef, Shaki, Pomo, Brokoto, Oxtail, Roundabout, and so on. These things are a must for the average Nigerian meal.

It's a real dilemma and paradox.

Why don't we all just shun the Fulanis and their cattle and pray for our shaki and pomo to appear from heaven like manna?

I'm sure it will.

Rossik is what happens when watery sperm actually manages to impregnate a woman. Very useless baboon.

Fulani being foolish doesn't automatically make Hausa noble. Hausas need to speak for themselves to show us their character. Especially through action. Not word of mouth from southerns about their 'hausa friends'

If Hausas didn't reason like slaves, Fulanis wouldn't have got the idea to start their nonsense.

I agree with you. When Utomi was young the Fulani were laying quiet. Now they are out as terrorist herdsmen, killing, raping, land grabbing.

Utomi should go tell the Jews that Nazis were being friendly to them. And tell the Tutsis that the Hutus were being friendly to them.

not true. You now have internet and can see it happen on a screen

Your statement makes no sense. I doesn't matter which company or where the Nigerian passport is printed, what matters is the procedures or criteria required of a person trying to acquire one. Pls stop misinforming the public.

Germany company prints 2000 passports. They tell you the printed 2000 and bill you for 2000. The entire government will know how many it ordered. Everything will be tied to a receipt.

Kafanchan Printers prints 20,000 passports. Tells you they printed 2000. What will your stupid a$s do?

Utomi has a very low IQ. He has convinced Nigerians that he is intelligent by mimicking the white man. Many of you are too stupid to comprehend what I'm saying at this point and you should opt out of reading the rest of the post and go ahead with your hate respond. Everyone else please continue.
Everything the white man does = intelligence so Utomi, Sanusi, Soludo, and hundreds of others have convinced you that they are 'intellectuals' because they

wear suits
speak english well
speak on the 'issues' of Nigeria
are effeminate compared to the people in the country

All of these things to a Nigerian = intelligence

No creative works
No concepts or philosophy that can be cited to these people (other than 'Nigeria is not working')
No peer reviewed research
No new thoughts or ideas. Just the same dry ignorance in English.

If Utomi was intelligent, he would have pick a different month to make this statement. But he's doing it on the heels of a prominent Yoruba leader's daughter being killed, and the retreat of an attempt to colonize his own people. Imagine someone kills your daughter, and the most intelligent person in the room stands up at the wake keeping and says 'The killer and I do business together'. In a god forsaken zoo the baboons and dogs will stand up and clap, and even want this person to be 'a nigerian leader'.

This man's stupidity has been trying to lead him into 'leadership' in Nigeria for 2 decades and he remains a glorified opinion blogger till this day. Same with Soludo. Sanusi is at least lucky his father was an Emir otherwise he would also be unemployed sharing his opinion.

Africans, please rethink what you call intelligence, education, learning. Many of your 'thinkers' have no original thought that can be cited to them. When they list the philosophers of the world, or even west Africa, you will look very stupid mentioning Pat Utomi.

Can you name 2 yoruba leaders that are saying the same thing on this issue?

Tinubu: Is Evans a herdsman? We know where kidnapping started. (at victims family compound)
Victims Family: It was fulani herdsmen
Femi Adesina: It was (anonymous) 'gunmen'
Osibanjo: There's no need for retaliation
Gani Adams: We might fight
FFK: Igbo will help us fight
Obasanjo: Fulanis are trying to colonize Nigeria
Obasanjo: Buhari must become president
Obasanjo: Yar Adua must become president
Obasanjo: Shehu Yar Adua is the president this country should have had
Obasanjo: Buhari is incompetent
Obasanjo: Atiku is the worst criminal in Nigeria
Obasanjo: Vote for Atiku
Oba Akiolu: Obasanjo is the biggest problem in Nigeria
Person A: It was Ibos
Person B: It was Yoruba criminals
Person C: It was Fulani herdsmen
Ooni of Ife: Yorubas must unite to face insecurity

Politics / Passport Cancellations To Make Foreign Fulanis 'citizens' by Ikengawo: 11:44pm On Jul 14, 2019
Buhari has canceled foreign passport printing. He will be printing them locally.
Most importantly, he will be printing them in bulk for Fulanis coming from other countries to more easily identify as 'Nigerian'.

I have said what I have said, take it or leave it.

It was during the reign of Eze Nrijiofor I 1300-1390AD, the fifth Eze Nri in the line of succession. One day during his reign, four strangers came to visit him at his palace. When they arrived, these four wise men or ‘magi’ pretended to be deaf and dumb. They did not say their names or their mission to Nri. Each of them carried ‘nkata’-basket known as “Abuokpa”.

They were taken to the visitors’ room by the king’s servant-‘Adama’. Later in the evening, the Eze went to see them, but they did not greet the Eze and did not acknowledge his greetings. ‘Oji’-kolanut was presented to them but they did not say anything.

Later at night, they were shown where to sleep. In the middle of the night, the Eze’s soothsayers sent a rat to disturb them. When the rat went to the first basket that belonged to ‘eke’ and started to nibble at it, ‘oye’ woke up and said “‘eke’ wake up”. When he answered him; ‘oye’ told ‘eke’ that a rat was trying to get to his basket. Eke woke up and the rat ran away. After a while, the rat repeated the same trick on the remaining baskets, and in the same manner, all of them revealed each other’s names.

In the morning, the Eze went to the strangers’ room to greet them and to perform the ‘oji ututu’-morning kola nut rituals. The Adama broke the kola nuts and the king called each of the visitors by their names-‘eke’ ‘oye’ ‘afo’ and ‘nkwo’. The visitors which were referred to as ‘o bialu ije ekwu okwu’-visitors that do not talk, were astonished when they heard their names being mentioned by the Eze.

They asked for water to wash their hands and faces; and took the kola nuts that were presented to them. After chewing the kola nuts, they gave the King ite ano-four earthen pots and directed him to keep the pots in front of the Nri Menri shrine outside the ‘obu’-palace, with each pots facing the sun. ‘Eke’ who was their spokesman, told the Eze that the first pot was owned by him, ‘eke’, the second one by ‘oye’ the third by ‘afor’ and the last by ‘nkwo’. He told the Eze that the four pots were sent down from ‘Chukwu’-God Almighty. He instructed the Eze that he and his people whom he ruled should be observing those names daily as market days, during which they should be buying and selling. These market days are used in Igboland to count the native weeks-‘izu’, months-‘onwa; and year-‘aro’. Therefore, Eke, Oye, Afor and Nkwo (four market days) make one ‘izu’-week. He also instructed him that the first name that should be given to their male children should commence with ‘eke’, then ‘oye’, ‘afo’ and ‘nkwo’. That is why we have igbo names as Okeke or Nweke, Okoye or Nwoye, Okafor or Nwafor, and Okonkwo or Nwankwo. In the same order, female children should be given “Mgbeke", "Mgboye", "Mgbafor" and "Mgbankwo". The message was preached throughout Igbo land by spiritual priests of Nri and they set up market squares in Igbo land.

The four strangers later told the Eze that they were messengers from God. Some foods were prepared for them but they did not eat them. In the noon, these magi of Igbo land disappeared from the Eze Nri palace like angels. The news spread throughout Igbo land and far west and north where it was observed to this day. Edo, Ogoja, Igala-Onoja, and Calabar peoples observe these market days in their lands, though they gave it different names to suit their dialects.

In the story the days are women

Eze2000:

Hi,

I'm an author of military action books and I tell you that you both are wrong. The AK-47 is a smooth firing rifle right but not the best in the world at the moment. The sole reason the AK-47 is the most popular assault rifle in the world today is not even that Russia made it in incredible abundance but the fact that this gun can use parts from almost all the other rifles.

In other words, your average terrorist doesn't have to buy a thing! All he needs is whatever he can steal from others. Put it in the rifle and it will work.

The AK-47 can use cartilages form the M16 and M4 perfectly but those guns cannot do the same. This is the sole reason why US combatants in the gulf war and Vietnam dumped their M16 in favor of the AK-47s used by their enemies.
