The Lagos State Government is a very transparent one and you can check through the records at the Lands Bureau. To even say they own or control 20% of Lagos will be a generous overstatement.

I have both Ibos and Yorubas as friends and I relate with them on a personal basis.
I'm sure you were not born during the civil war. So what you get is a one sided narration. Why can't you all move on with life?

Chinua is very disappointing.I don't think the Ibos have suffered half of what the blacks suffered in SA during apertheid talkless of what the Jews suffered. In the case of the civil war, the Effiks, the Ibibios, the Ijaws, Bini etc suffered as well. So what are we saying?

We dont know who is lying between JTF and Zanna. At 6.42 a.m this morning(20/10/2012) on BBC Hausa service Zanna admitted JTF raided his house but denied that Bama was arrested their. He admitted some people living in his house were led away by JTF and they got information from one of them which led to the arrest of Bama but not in his house. He also denied links with boko haram activities but admitted Bama is a relation.
One thing is clear, though, BH members are mainly sons and maybe daughters of Borno. But late Mohammed Yusuf was able to reach out to the youth in north east & north west through his radical speeches and sermons in the 8 years boko haram operated peacefully and openly (2001 to 2009). ALL leading politicians in Borno, both ANPP and PDP,courted boko haram because of its large following especially among the poverty stricken, uneducated youth. The BH violence only started in 2009 when they fell out with ex-gov Sheriff, who used police to arrest and kill them thus pushing BH to resort to arming themselves to confront the state. So no one should be surprised about the alleged link of two senators to BH. All politicians in Borno hav links with them at one time though boko haram is now out of control of any politician. God save us, for politicians across the country do support armed groups which are called by different names like "youth movement", "body guards","thugs", "youth caucus", this or that front, vanguard, the boys, area boys, etc.

@OP, we all know that you are insinuating that Tinubu may have something to do with the current assault on Awo but you are yet to provide any proof. Admittedly Oju Yobo has been unusually silent on the matter, in an unusual stance for a person who is supposed to be the Asiwaju of Yoruba people.

Yoruba adage says "The war that has been foretold to a paraplegic will not caught up with him/her".
