After seeing this movie, all I've got to ask is, what really went wrong with DC?? They once had it all figured out (this movie was a clear indication)& all of a sudden, they are way backward.

Though, I think Dr. Manhattan shouldn't have killed Rorschach,the guy was a psychotic fugitive for crying out loud, nobody was going to believe any bullshit he says, even though it were the truth. Veidt just reminds me of Thanos, sacrificing a few million to save billions.

The movie was so on point, the fighting scenes which featured Dwayne Johnson were particularly hilarious & very real( guess his stunt double really took some of those beating).

Ok i get u. But just to point it out. Samsung webpage have a faster loading time on s9 than iPhones , the reverse is the case with iPhone webpages on iPhones. Food for thought.
Imo, the gpu is needed for rendering websites and as e be so, the a11 gpu no touch adreno so if a website is taking time to load on a any sd845, one may want to check the parameters.
The cpu of the a11 is a monster btw.
But overall, the a11 gat nothing on the sd845.

Sd845 on ios, vs a11 on Android....

you do know that android is heavier than ios? No iphone has 4gb ram, iphone x is 3gb ram and has a hexacore processor unlike the octacore, 4gb -8gb ram, sd845 processors available. Also, a11 has nothing on s9 or that sexy new note9 with sd845. A11 in iphone x will dust so many sd845 processor phones that are in the same price range or lower than the iphone x or some phones other Poco f1. Sd845 in an iphone will do very well, it can bear a lot of weight but a11 with all its optimizations will do well on phones like one plus 6 and other low feature android flagships

that still doesn't mean we should discourage. We should instead create an encouraging atmosphere. When I had my gionee m3mini, the thread on nairaland encouraged everything; purchases, camera tests, suitable apps, theming, rooting, porting to custom roms, how to get out of bootloops and so many others.
When I deleted my o.s., someone helped me get a link to restore my phone all on the gionee m3mini thread on nairaland. So encouraging development shouldn't be frowned on.

the reason sd845 might beat a11 is because of the complemantary features in the phones with sd845 compared to iphones with a11. Processing speed for instance, a11 beats sd845, also the speed at which webpages open and ram management but samsung s9 for me is preferable to iphone x because s9 has more features that intrest me than iphone x. I hope you understood me?

I think some noob needs to change their orientation, when they hear mtk they write it off as if it doesn't rate anywhere. Somebody will just sit down somewhere and think out of nowhere that SD is the ultimate. Yes SD is crazily uptimised chipset but there are some mtks that performs great than certain SD.

Frankly speaking never had that in mind when I was replying his messages. On the contrary personally I feel some stuff such as modding, tweaking, flashing etc should be channeled to dedicated threads since this particular thread is more of a general Xiaomi discussion thread.

Even on XDA there are general discussion areas & advanced threads where noobs are not even allowed to post but observe only. Thus we cannot bear to see newbies tweaking their gadgets thinking it's the norm, complicating things for everybody here.

There is also the issue of offering assistance to potential brick victims when you start talking modding & flashing, the dude aside being a noob himself is not gonna take such responsibility. Funnily he was even making reference to "Google is your friend" phrase like he was told that when he had brick issues earlier.

When this thread was created Xiaomi products were a niche & relatively unknown in Nigeria, thereby making this thread a sort of support group for the few users but it's obvious this thread is far more than that now.

this thread should also serve as help spot for users who would like to tweak their phones. If not this thread where else?

Both are functional in Nigeria.

Global rom is the variant with hardware built for the Chinese market but flashed with global rom/software. It works perfectly here but only lacks LTE band 20 (which is not needed in China). This band is used only by Smile & partly by MTN. Note MTN use band 7 too so you'll still have MTN LTE signal.

Global version is the variant with hardware built for the international market. It already has the global rom/firmware factory installed.

Least I forget the global version is slightly more expensive due to the extra band but we that don't send we rock the global rom variant, no time

Yup, you can as well patronise any of our numerous resellers here.
There are 2 variants to the RN5 version that's available to us Nigerians though i.e Global version & Global rom. Both got similar hardware except the Global rom not supporting LTE band 20.

ahh na wa o. I thought global version and global rom were the same. For instance, a phone made in China that has global rom is functional in Nigeria. Isn't it? So which one now is global version and global rom? Abeg sorry but please explain

Redmi 5 plus(China) = Redmi note 5(India)
Redmi Note 5 AI(China) = Redmi Note 5 Pro(India)

For us in Nigeria we have access to the China devices, hope you get the picture now?
