actually it was an original sd card, I bought it two years ago and this crashing was as a result of a virus infection, from one girl's phone

all the roms I flashed on my last android phone never needed computer, in fact from what I've read about xiaomi it looks like its just fastboot roms that you need PC(?) but custom roms dont need PC, just have a custom recovery like redwolf or twrp.

depending on the code it can access i believe so but ordinarily it shouldn't access the external flash... As for the second question, why ask wen u can just remove the flash

I asked cos one might have downloaded a new Rom and saved it on the external flash, now in recovery mode the person wipes internal storage of the phone, flashes in the new Rom but no option to unmount the flash drive before unplugging it. Will it harm the flash or can the phone be wiped without external storage being affected even though the flash wasnt unplugged cos there was no option to unmount before removal?

.edu mail requires being an American student and the steps I saw for non students last worked mid 2018.

in an android phone that was booted into recovery mode, will the otg flash drive still be accessible? And like in unlocking bootloader, will an internal storage wipe also affect the contents of a flash drive plugged into the phone?

Dropbox is free, but limited to 2GB storage space. So if you're going to use it, it should only be for important lightweight files. Yes, there's USB type c otg flash drive.

After my memory card crashed in 2017, I didn't store items there again. I only put my songs, video and some pictures that I either already have a backup of, or that I can afford to lose. All other important items were on the phone.

Lost my phone a week ago, including the memory card. Only my camera pictures and some videos were backed up to Google Drive (as I didn't include so many folders for backup despite having access to free wifi during working hours). Until I need to reference some files, I might not remember how important other files are.

Going forward, I've decided that I'll ensure backup of all my important folders to google drive (and probably Dropbox too). I also purchased an OTG/USB flash drive for easy backup to my PC. That way, I should have nothing to worry about.

Sorry about the files lost. It's always advisable to have backups too on harddrive or system. U can get a pen drive.

All storage device, including hard drives are susceptible to crash. Even mobile phone rom

this sd card has served me well since 2017, all these started after I collected some pictures from one girl, I strongly suspect virus

Truth be told, Umtiti became greedy after a stellar season and wanted to put Barça in a corner, but Lenglet happened.
Now Umtiti has a bigger and harder task of taking back his position at the centre back than he has of convincing Barça to improve his contract and salary!

the Umtiti problem started when he had an injury towards the end of last season, instead of him to relax and heal properly, he went to the world cup with that injury and played virtually all the matches of France, worsening the injury. As much as it pains me to say it, umtiti may never be world class again because of his injury and the board should let him go where he will be a consistent starter.

De Ligt is good but he is not that pacey, he is intelligent and good in the air but he isn't what we need. We need a back up left back and a striker not another defender. Our midfield has just Alena and Arthur below 28 (Coutinho is confused) the rest are above 30. Why are we rushing to sign another CB?

Finally on EU Rom from Lineage Os. My Mix 2 visited brickland briefly while flashing d EU ROM. It stopped at MIX logo while flashing d ROM despite did d usual stuff of wiping davlick cache vendor data and system,left internal memory untouched and clicked install on d TWRP to install the ROM and lazyflasher . I was getting 'No ROM installed' while rebooting into system. Tried over and over but same result. I eventually flashed d EU ROM omitting lazyflasher and rebooted into system but stucked at MIX logo for hours. I also tried Orange Recovery but no show.
Way out :I downloaded the Global Stable ROM 1.64Gb size but just b4 I flashed it with Twrp an idea came up. I clicked on wipe - - - - >advanced - - - >format data, type 'yes' to format data and then went back to install d EU rom with lazyflasher. Now rocking EU rom. My BP clocked 400/110 mmhg like Onoghen's

congrats, just wanted to inform you that bootloop is different from brick. If your phone bricks, it won't even come on at all, a bootloop is when your phone comes on, but its stuck in booting for one reason or the other

You are getting this all mumbled up, if you handle the umis, leagoo etc you would know they aren't 100% stock android as they have some little customisations. Isn't that the basis of our comparison in the first place? To me they aren't stock android but a poor imitation of it.

I understand you, thanks. The problem I was addressing was the generalization that miui generally is better than stock android generally. Original stock android and original android one are better than miui but MIUI is far far better than what ever those weird brands implement as OS and call it stock android yet it will never get updates or security patches
