Many Whites, despite efforts by some people to tarnish the image of Islam, have come to realise the truth in Islam. (Having said that) ..., I will state categorically here that the chunk of Muslims in Nigeria, particularly those of the southwest, are at best muslims by birth, but have weak understanding of their religion. No Muslim, I [b](dare)[/b]dear say, that understands his religion will (n)ever harbour any iota of doubt about Islam however the circumstance. Islam is too much of facts than that. I am from Osun state myself, but I'm giving you the cardinal reason many southwestern muslims convert to Christianity( it is not because Christianity provided them with what Islam didn't, but it is because their hearts were empty.

Human beings are created to want to have happiness all through their lives. They dont want to suffer. They don't want to be in pain or lose someone dear to them. But, is that possible? The answer is no. Life is about admixture of joy and sorrow. You cannot be happy all through the day, let alone all through your life. Human mood follows the theory of dialectic.

Now, Christianity preaches that Sons of Adam are to be in persecutal state of happiness. If you are afflicted with illness, to the Christians, it is the work of the Devil or your neighbour or something like that. It is never the Will of God that has come to pass upon you.

Christians worship the figure of their pastors. They accord much reference to the pastors than they do even Jesus that they call 'God' .Islam, in contrary, states it clear that life is unchangeably- an alloy of joy and sorrow. Therefore, it is the lack of knowledge of this by some southwestern muslims that make many turn to Christianity when they face difficult(ies) or challenges.

Christians go to church not because they truely want to serve God, but because they are seeking 'miracles'. They live for the NOW. Their concern is about the world and what in it they could enjoy. Period.

The hope of any Muslim isn't about the world but the world beyond. We know, as Muslims, that Allah says: 'If this life and all that it contains were be an iota of weight in Allah's sight, He would not have given the infidels any of it' and so we do not outdo each just for this life.

Evil Brain: First of all stop generalizing. You seem to think that everyone in the west had a meeting and decided to draw Mohammed cartoons. The fact is that most westerners don't care about Islam or Muslims except when the start rioting. The people who draw the cartoons and make the films you are complaining about are a very tiny group and in no way represent the average person.

Secondly, the people who are abusing freedom of speech are those who are calling for the death of others over a stúpid cartoon. Making fun of other people's religion is a perfectly legitimate activity which Muslims engage in just as much as everyone else. The idea that Islam or any other religion has some sort of special status over others is one that the no civilized society should ever accept.

Third, thesis not how hate and xenophobia start. They start when religious and political leaders start calling for the deaths of others over stúpid YouTube videos and cartoons. If I were a Muslim, or lived in a Muslim country, I would be seriously ashamed of the rubbish some of my "leaders" have been saying.

Lastly, you asked if the west tolerates making of anti-Jewish remarks in the name of freedom of speech? The answer as any sensible person would know is clearly yes. The internet is full of antisemitic websites, videos and yes, even cartoons. The reason the Jews dint go about rioting and killing people about it is that most of them aren't homicidal fanatics, and the few who are are kept in check by the societies in which they live.

If Muslims want to live in a civilized world, they will have to learn to accept insults just like every other major religion has. End of story. Your religion so not special, It is not better than anyone else's. And you will NOT be treated differently. Deal with it.

Why is France afraid? No, they should keep their embassies open now. If na to provoke people by making insensitive religious remarks, you will see these French and westerners in action. However, when shyte hits the fans, they want to dodge. People should not abuse freedom of speech. This is how hate and xenophobia all starts. Built2last: The best way to display maturity sometimes in dicey situations like this is silence.Islam must learn to swallow such inciting movies, cartoons and write ups...the anti-Islamic groups all over the world now knows exactly what to do to get the muslim world boiling and the media busy.The big question is, for how long will muslims keep reacting?...if only they will embrace silence..they will get tired and the world will be peaceful.If muslims keep reacting to such, then we should expect more of such movies and cartoons.
