Dude you dont know what you are talking about. Those 3 songs you mentioned ("Do me", "chop my money", "kurukere" are hit songs within and outside Nigeria. If you go to clubs within and outside Nigeria you will know what am talking about. Chop my money and Oliver Twist are likely going to be the best songs of the year.I have no Qualms with Davido or any other 9ja musician, i pray for them to do well and conquer Africa and the rest of the world, but his Duro song is far better than this. To me this Gbo Gbon song is below average and it is in the same category with Oyato and Toto Dikes crap. Surely some people will like the song no doubt, but just like Oyato, it is below average and Davido can do better than this.
That's my point, lyrical content don't make hit songs, it's perception, acceptance (What girls think about the song) and other factors(DJs,clubs radio stations etc). A lot of Nigerians listen to songs the way they read news, read the title and make conclusions. I Don't like the artiste,i don't like his song. so, they are always on stand by, to rush to youtube and other social networks to condemn the lyrical content of a song they subconsciously node their heads to. you are not being sincere when you compare tonto dike's noise and oyato. |
caseless: and u, the supernormal guy involved his parent jst becos of DAVIDO that neither know u nor the guy in question. SMHI'm not claiming to be supernormal and Ryabcool insulted me first, so no apologies from here. I'v had it with individuals who rush to songs released by D'banj, Wiz-kid or Davido to make condescending comments like . "I'm innocent and i somehow like this song, but it lacks lyrical content. So, the song is bad". Tell that to Jazz musicians. "Do me", "chop my money", "kurukere" etc are not better than this song lyrically. |
Ryabcool: mumu illiterate! There's a difference between lyrical and moral. A song doesn't have to be moral but it should not insult our intelligence. Even if it is a dance song, let us at least be able to put a meaning to what we are dancing to. Get off your high horse and go back to school for lack of comprehension. NitwitYou snivelling imbe'cile, anything you don't like will insult your shitty (brain) intelligence. This song's aim is to entertain and it was achieved, dance to it or FFFF off. he is neither your teacher nor your father. Your comment suggest you are mentally subnormal "Lyrical and moral". Odious chaff trying to sound intelligent, go and Gbon-Gbon your Mum. Ode olori buruku, eni ayi ji ri. |
Some idio'ts are always whining about lyrics, these songs are meant to entertain not teach you the ten commandment. if you want to hear preaching, go to the church or mosques. |
this guy stole money and he is spending it like a boss. a lot of things in this country makes me go WOW....good he is spending some of it here though. |
shegzy4luv: i support, dont mind all those political bigots who don't knw d tactics of politicians, they are full of plutocracy, cascading into a mobocracy of a kakistocracy.Okotie, i see the spirit moving in you mouth and brain. |
Are our Governors responsible enough to control security forces? We know how the Presidency uses the Police and Army to determine results during elections. How many Governors can, and will effective manage State Police forces under their control without using them to intimidate and oppress political rivals?
Has anything like this (election rigging) happened during this administration? political rivals are still killed with the current arrangement. |
Na Jos boy, they need it, you can never tell when the hausa/fulani man will attack. |
Whobedatte: When it comes being alive to their billings, thats when they spew rubbish. But he can donate billions for thiefnubus birthday bash and also loot billions abi, Like Godfather, Like Godson. Tout turned Gov! Kpara e!! |
Ayatullah: It is unfortunate that Alimodu Sheriff fooled GoonLuck Jonathan and dragged the Nigerian Army into this confrontation with 'Boko Haram'. The Nigerian Army should be sincere in carrying out its operation, killing innocent civilians will be a cowardly act which will eventually make the Army hated and unpopular, and above all the wrath of Allah will descend on those who take innocent lives pretending they are fighting 'Boko Haram'. Allah is watching everything. And what should your allah do to boko-haram and their passive & active supporters killing people because |
ArQueBusieR: I mean no disrespect, but the only cretin here is you. Viva JTF!!!Viva!!!!! |
Nice, no time to celebrate, prepare for the next one. there are about 50 million of them. |
Wow "we talking money, boko-haram is talking nonsense". LMAO This will enrage them again "The biggest insurgency this country will ever experience" yimu The federal government should put boko-haram in charge of groundnut and onions pyramids. ![]() |
Please does anyone remember the name of that bald headed super sports guy that hates Nigeria? |
DMainMan: GUY, u call it freedom of speech when de are abusing the HOLY PROPHET(SAW). But if it were to b d reverse case, de will say it is terrorism. u guys ar HYPOCRITESAbuse? these so called people abusing your prophet don't make these insults up, the insults are there in the quran and hadith |
Why are northerners always comparing Niger-delta militants and boko-haram? They are obviously different in all ramifications, it's irritating when these northerners speak. |

They now know how many minutes it will take the Israeli airforce to respond. |
I hope these northerner muslims don't expect to enjoy peace, if a northern muslim happens to become the next president of Nigeria. |
why impose a curfew after these animals attack? let others retaliate then impose the curfew after. The local government should buy drones to monitor movement in that area, its cheaper attack them and their cows before they attack you. |
irrelevant hypocrites seeking attention. where was the muslim council when the club was being sponsored by virgin money? last i checked, virgin money also charge interest. Everyone dislikes loan sharks, but it's highly hypocritical for these muslims who are playing holy trying to give the impression that islamic banks don't collect interest just because they call it something else. they should stop putting these footballers on the spot by telling them to choose between being a "kaffir" or "true muslim". hypocrites! |
looks like man-o-war initiating a new member or something. |

1 John 5:7 (New King James Version). For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. Genesis 1:26 (New King James Version) .Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all[a] the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” |
