FKO81: Stop hiding under Lagos, Lagos delegates said no to regional government because the know other southwestern states will be a burden to them. All Nigerians have stakes in Lagos, why not replicates the same figures in other southwestern states? Who is hiding under Lagos or is trying to hide Lagos? Shame on you for not having a state like Lagos with all your noisemaking. |

NRIPRIEST: When you say tourism did you mean Osun festivals or what ? Osun Festival, Lagos carnival, Ekiti Ibile etc....... Yoruba language is one of the most spread out languages, esp in academia. These non-Yorubas who chose to study Yoruba should have a study-abroad location in Yorubaland. A program to assimilate them in Yoruba culture while they're there. |

Musiwa419: Afenifere Renewal Group had a conference last week at Detroit. In attendance were : Senator Babafemi Ojudu, Dipo Famakinwa( DAWN Commission), Prof Pius Adesanmi, Ayo Turton, Omoyele Sowere( Sahara Reporters), Bamidele-Ademola Olateju etc. Once i get the link to the youtube video of the event, i'll post it here. I do not trust AFENIFERE to stand behind Yoruba interest. They're too involved with political and self interest. |

quimicababes: I am not Yoruba but I think y'all should try linking up with DAWN. Dipo and the organisation is really trying and they always emphasize the need for all Yorubas to be on board to uplift the region.DAWN deals heavily with SW policies and the government but private citizens also need to work with them to manifest their blueprint into reality. The good thing is the organization is not partisan.

FKO81: Onitsha and Aba importers and exporters use Lagos ports same with Airport, banks own by Igbos and other tribes have their headquarters in Lagos, Zenith bank, Diamond bank, UBA, Fidelity bank, access bank etc same with Apapa most of the tank farms are own by Igbos NIPCO Oil, Capital oil, AZ oil, Ibeto oil, Tecno oil etc what of industries and markets, can you mention one single industry own by southwest or north in southeast? There's a port in the East. What's stopping you from using it since the East is viable. There's even an international airport in Enugu....lol Most of the banks/IT/businesses are owned by Yoruba. |

FreeGlobe: Lagos is No mans land.. As a matter of fact, igbos produce more than half of Lagos state IGR according to an ACN statement. There is no economic activity in yorubaland even without wars and terrorist attacks. You people should thank igbos that are coming to help you in yorubaland else people would have been dying of hunger Lagos is Yorubaland....and will stay with Yorubaland when the country divides, so pele.

Two Yoruba states in the highest IGR.
Delta with all the oil can't compete with Lagos too?
Texas, an oil state, has one of the highest IGR, economically viable environment.
So what happens when Lagos starts getting oil revenue?

FreeGlobe: Ilekeh to break it down in Yoruba English for you, Enugu generates more money than Ogun State, Ebonyi generates more money than Ondo state. Ebonyi which is the least Economically viable state in the South East generates four times the revenue of Ekiti, and these two states were created the same year.
I hope it is clear to you now And Lagos generate more than all those states combined Oyo egenerates more than Anambra. Ogun generates more than Ebonyi. Osun generates more than Imo. Your point? Even with that Yorubas are not content. We know our region can do better. Our region should be competing with Kenya, not erosive igboland.

FKO81: stop hiding under Lagos is collective efforts Igbos contribute more than Yorubas in Lagos, remember Lagos delegates didn't agree wif other southwestern delegates during 2014 national conference. Igbos have little effort in Lagos, ignore the noisemaking. If igbos did, Anambra would be competing with Lagos. Petty trading can only do so much. N2,000 tax per month na chichi, compared to Yorubas' IT companies generating high revenue. |

tvreporter: The GDP has grade the Top Five (5) Richest State In Nigeria, this top five are states that has contributed greatly to the nation economy over the years. Below are the Top Five (5) Richest State In Nigeria 2015
1. Lagos State: the GDP of Lagos State is $33.67 Billion, this state has been seen by most people outside Nigeria as the capital city of Nigeria, so it is the New York of Nigeria. It is the home of opportunity and it has been seen as the state that has the large city in Nigeria and west Africa.
4. Oyo state Anyway, Yorubaland still has space for improvement. Ogun is an upcoming e-commerce and IT hub. We need visionaries like Fashola. |
