I'm still surprised that commerce states (Abia/Anambra) can't compete with Lagos, but with non e-commerce states (Oyo/Ogun).
So much for noise makers on NL |

investnow2013: How?... Lagos will immediately lose the Headquaters of many blue chip companies!. The population will be arround 2 Million!. Lagos won't lose anything. Just as Igbos aren't moving to the east to invest right now, they'll still be in Lagos afterwards. However, they'll now just be international businessmen. |

Owliver: if they try to, it is people like you that would still complain. after jonathan lost igbos(non yorubas) lost interest in governorship election and didnt vote. this one is not them say then say If they try? Negro, igbo names were also on the ballots, but the population of Lagos does not amount to 20% to generate an igbo governor. Even non-Yoruba/non-igbos wouldn't vote for one. |

Owliver: i can see you have never been there. just them say them say. even a petty trader pays tax of about 2 to 5k and that also contributes monthly. go sleep jo. the only thing yorubas hold tight is local govt, tax collectors(including agberos) other state agencies and little investments. the bulk of businesses is by non yorubas(mostly igbos). stop arguing what you dont know lol they don't pay their taxes, stop lying. MAYBE 25% DO, BUT WITH THE LAXED LAWLESSNESS IN THESE MARKETS, YOU DON'T. |

Abagworo: With Onitsha and Nnewi, Anambra could not surpass Ebonyi and nobody is faulting that but can only see Imo State which has only enjoyed 4 years of non-PDP rule. IMHO Anambra and Imo fell short of expectations but Anambra is worse going by what the Government can harness iGR from. There is something simply wrong with having a large e-commerce environment, yet they're competing with states without when they should be competing with Lagos. |

FKO81: Lagos is collective efforts by all Nigerians, NPA, Igbos contributes more than 65% in Lagos ports, same wif International airport, Administative head offices all located in Lagos etc. Igbos do not contribute more than 30%. Even if it's up to that. Non-Igbos/Non-Yorubas also contribute a large sum. Same igbos are also contributing to the Igboland, but igboland can't catch up with Yorubaland (over 300bn+) |

Owliver: if they leave slash the money dey generate by 80%. non yorubas(mostly igbos) in lagos work harder. you cant argue this onr Most of the businesses in Lagos are owned by Yorubas. 80% is a joke. I'll give them 30%. Many will leave and many will come. Many start up companies are owned by Yorubas. Petty trading is going out of business, Tech is the new language. |

Owliver: lol. my friend population is the gift of lagos. lagos automatically attracts investors. forget this your theory. the port also is the biggest drive. build one in ss and see how the game changes Ohh so Abuja doesn't have that population? Why not? Is it not a capital? Why don't you guys move there since it's a capital? lol Truth is, series of Yoruba leaders cultivated a culture of growth in Lagos. Abuja could easily do the same since they get that funding. A divided Nigeria won't make Lagos any smaller or less successful than it is. A divided Nigeria will force Yoruba leaders to focus on the Yoruba interest. |

Owliver: if non yorubas leave after the devide nkor? i no think say you don reach lagos to see who run things there Non-Yorubas won't leave. Lagos will just be another megacity located in a Yoruba country. However, dividing Nigeria and creating a Yorubaland will make our leaders focus on the Yoruba interest rather than the NIgerian interest. |

kettykin: It is not competing with lagos because lagos as at 1993 was the capita of Nigeria and today lagos enjoys the privileged status as the commercial capital of Nigeria the same as Johannesburg and Rio De Janeiro in south Africa and Brazil respectively.
If lagos was never the capital of Nigeria with all the banks, telecommunications, oil and gas services companies headquartered in lagos, lagos would not be bigger or better of than cotonou in Benin Republic. Lagos at 1993 was not a megacity. Lagos stopped being a capital years ago and later, multiple Yoruba governors created a climate for success. Abuja has been the capital for years, but they don't have the Yoruba leaders and vision to make what Lagos is now. Other Yorubalands don't have Onitsha, ND oil and PH, but they're still competing. So enough with the excuses. |

Even when Nigeria is divided, Lagos is still going to keep rolling.
Yorubaland is going to keep rolling. |

NRIPRIEST: This logic is so elementary. I see you guys trying so hard to separate Lagos from the SW's combined IGR. THAT logic is flawed. Onitsha is the busiest e-commerce region in Nigeria, why is it not competing with Lagos? Why is it included in SE's calculation? |

The whole Lagos covers the whole SE.
What happened to Onitsha, the "largest" commerce location in Nigeria?
Or Port Harcourt?
How can a whole Lagos generate more than the oil region? |

The first and only time I did it, one troll named Okolochyke made me do it and I even had to apologize after that incident because I felt bad about it. I love the yoruba language, The music (Asa , Tope Alabi etc).
As for B00HARI, That's a different issue. We're still talking about "Yeebhoes" now. SeverusSnape: You're the confused person obviously... No, we've not discussed your religious views, but I know you're a monstrous tribalist. That is the first thing a sane person will observe about you at first glance.
