I completed my biometrics last November in Canada and have a valid Canadian visitor visa. My account shows that my biometrics are valid for 10 years.

However, I received an update from IRCC on Saturday afternoon, and when I checked my PR application summary, I noticed that my previous biometrics details (from my visitor visa) are now showing there. But I haven’t received any new BIL for my current PR application.

Has anyone else experienced this? Was your PR application summary updated before receiving the new BIL, or did they use your previous biometrics?

A very close friends application has been decided since 11th of July, 2022.

Up until now, her application is yet to be transferred to VAC.

She visited the VAC Centre last week and was told that her passport isn't ready and she should wait for a mail b4 coming back again.

She has done paid calls and mails, all to no avail. Her case was escalated last week when she called and she was told to wait for 15working days.

Omoh, my friend is really depressed, even when I called her today, she was just crying over the phone.

Please who can assist, what can be done??

Her biometrics was 29th June, V.I. TLS.

I submitted on 01-06-2022, I received non straight forward mail on 20-06-2022, sent paid mail on 22-06-2022 showing decision has been made. I got a refusal mail today.

Sorry about this, the NSF mail you got on 20/06/2022, was it an "Empty NSF" or they requested you to submit a document or something, did you respond?

There seems to be an overwhelming backlog in processing visa application (including vignettes ) at the moment

Does she need her passport to travel elsewhere? Otherwise she should please be patient

She will hopefully get her passport before the end of the escalation timeframe

Thanks for the response Duchess. She needs it to travel to Dubai for a conference trip coming up on August 5th (next week).

It's just quite worrisome that people who did bio same day and afterwards have gotten their passport back.

Escalations are done when it is past the recommended decision wait times,for student visa (3weeks) dependants (3-6weeks)

When you make a paid call or send a mail and you are advised it is still awaiting decision inform the representative on the phone that it is past the wait time and you will want this escalated, sometimes it is done automatically without requesting

Pls what can be done if decision has been made on an application and there is delay in movement to VAC.

She is a Single Applicant.

10 working days has passed and an escalation was done yesterday (Tuesday), only for the applicant to receive a mail that it has been escalated and she should wait for 15working days before contacting UKVI.

All she wants now is her passport, decision has been made over 2weeks now.

Is there anything that can be done on this?
