No. Jaiz bank screwed me over after waiting for about a week, they said they don't have dollars in any of their branches in Abuja. I had to apply using U.B.A yesterday. My flight is Tuesday and I was told it should be approved by Monday hopefully.

Same thing happened to last month when I wanted to travel, all zenith , union, first bank on mainland in Lagos denied me dollar untill went inland the very I wanted to travel , thank God I got the PTA . Miost bank are using dollar card now. They will load the amount you request in the card which you can use at any pos,ATM etc of your destination. I thank I got cash in my case. These Nigeria knows what they are doing, whenever you use the card at your destination you will charged both home and abroad. Is not encouraging atall . Access Bank started that.

(my old passport was to expire in August 2022 and immediately I put my passport details on my CAs shield, I received a notification from the CAs team to upload details of a renewed passport as I won’t be given CAs with a passport that will expire before the end of my studies…I had to quickly reach out to people and got a new passport within 2 weeks)

Also, I have only 1 past visa refusal which I declared to the school at the initial stage of my application and I was made to understand that Ulster’s compliance interview is only done for people with 2 or more past refusals so it was really surprising when my CAS shield was at 55% and got a mail from school on the 6th of December stating that the CAS team had scheduled a compliance interview with me cos of my past visa refusal in 2018.

Compliance interview: 10th of December

CAS:16th of December

Visa application: 20th of December

Biometric: 29th of December (walk in…slept at Ikeja tls for 4days…story for another day)

Application moved to DMC: 29th of December

Application received at DMC: 29th of December

NSF mail: 17th of January..I have 11years study gap but eco only requested for my most recent work or education reference

Submission of additional document: 19th of January and sent another document on the 22nd of January

Application moved to Vac: 28th of January

Collection mail: 28th of January (very late at night)

Passport pick up: 31st of January

Documents submitted: Pof, Tb cert, Neco, Bsc cert and Cas

Bro please which state are you and please I want to renew my passport , it expire this January. the two family friends I contacted that are both nis officers first one said 55k and the second one said 45k meanwhile on the nis website its 35k for 5years validity and 70k for 10years validity I saw there for renewal, guess it's same for fresh. Its better you go through someone working there o...., same route am considering taking, ask them how long it would take to have it renewed and provided to you, i think this should be the best question at the moment.

For fresh passport
U need the below after u pay online.
1. 2 passport photograph
2. Black and white abi black and grey paper file( can be bought there for 50 to 100 naira)
3. Letter of identification from Local Government/State of origin or residence or National Identity Card
4. Completed passport application form
5. Completed Guarantors’ form duly signed by a Commissioner for Oaths attached with Photocopy of Data page of Guarantor’s Nigerian ePassport, National Identity Card and one passport sized photograph of the Guarantor;
U will print out the guarantor’s form online. It is linked to your application so google how to print it when u are done with payment or check my other responses for the link.
6. Marriage certificate, where applicable;
7. Birth Certificate or Age Declaration attached with one passport-sized photograph and duly endorsed by a Commissioner for Oaths
8. Acknowledgement slip
9. evidence of payment slip

Amount for non-enhanced passport is 17,800 naira .goodluck

I captured for renewal on 7th December, the passport was issued on 30th December and I picked up yesterday, 4th January. Breezed in and in ten minutes, breezed out with my brand new, substandard looking Nigerian international passport (the quality of this new e-passport is not impressive at all).

I didn't do DIY because I don't have time for any bullshit struggle. 40k for ease and convenience. 32 pages/5years.

Please aside the passport for renewal what else should one take along when going to their office?

Who said it was going to be easy before?
5years ago it wasn't easy but still yet people are making money online legitimately. And so many sit down there blaming the government e.t.c whereas There are Nigerians making six, seven, eight figures through various legitimate online business model.

So many Nigerians are just lazy and aren't ready to put in any work whatsoever, just there sitting down wallowing in pain saying the economy is hard.

My Story
September 7th 2021, I took a decision that I want to start earning money in DOLLARS, since our Naira was losing value exponentially. I took the matter to GOD and told him to show me a clear path/business line to explore online and September 9th, I came across kdp via a recommended video on YouTube.

Afterwards I went online (even here on Nairaland) and found out that people have been making hell of money from kdp since 2013, something told me this market is already saturated, you won't make anything from it... I had to shun down those thoughts and look at the bigger picture. September 14th I enrolled for a course(invested in Knowledge so as to cut away every trial and error), from the course I got 1 or 2 ideas which birthed my own strategies/shortcuts, I found ways to make things easier for me. Aside the course I paid for, I have never bought any extra software/tools whatsoever, just DATA & TIME invested.

First screenshot below is my result in the last 90days. 2nd screenshot is what I have made just this month alone and I only uploaded 3books (because am currently exploring another business model, still in dollars too).

Don't just sit down there complaining to yourself that things are hard, it's not easy, it's too competitive, it's this, it's that, giving yourself flimsy excuses. Whereas you should have gotten in, ask God for direction so you find some hidden loopholes and explore.

And please no one should come here saying it was LUCK or that? It wasn't.... YES, the "GOD-FACTOR" was number 1 but still yet I had to put in the work, sat on my laptop 7hrs straight (not minding if I had eating or not, just because I wanted RESULT).

Yes, I admit I haven't yet gotten to the stage where I want to be on this but am grateful for my little wins and I pray and am working harder to improve my earnings better.

SECRET TIPS

Invest in a skill (lots of them are out there)
a. kdp (been here seen a bit, a lot more money can be made here).
b. Google Adsense Arbitrage (current exploration, 2022 goals) ===> minimum 6months b4 seeing results except if you have money to invest on tools, shorten to 2months.
c. Crypto (be careful here you could get your hands burnt a bit but there is money to be made)

Focus on any ONE of the above skill for a minimum of 3months (nothing less) b4 you ever complain of it not working for you(blame village People if no result after 3months)...
a. Do the hardwork with a minimum of 8hrs daily (4get sleep for the meantime, do the hardwork b4 delving into smart work)
b. Don't just invest in a course/mentorship and sit down there expecting the person to teach you everything. What you invested in is for knowledge.... Take that knowledge, consume it research to make things easier, improve and make it work for you.
c. Start enjoying your reward.
