ibabz: A simple google search would have saved you this embarrassment. You can win an election with propaganda but you can’t run a government by propaganda. You met $35b in external reserves and depleted to $3b and tried to raise it back to the same value you met it and you call that achievement? Pls we are not stu. Pid. If you’re working for your N30k per month is understandable but don’t think we don’t have Nigerians that haven’t been bewitched or hypothesized. NET external reserves my dear, find out the meaning. |

ibabz: Those celebrating that Tinubu paid $3.5b loan, pls when is Tinubu going to pay the remaining loans? Since he wants to equal OBJ achievements in 2yrs.
$44.9 billion, with the top five creditors being: Eurobond holders – $17.32 billion World Bank (IDA) – $16.56 billion Exim Bank of China – $5.06 billion African Development Bank (AfDB) – $2.10 billion IBRD (World Bank) – $1.24 billion 1. Tinubu paid all Nigeria’s FX Backlogs of about $4.5b and reunites Nigeria with international airlines 2. Tinubu built our net external reserves from $3.9b in 2023 to $25b in 2025 3. Tinubu paid off the $3.4b IMF loan 4. Tinubu returns the prosperity of state governments across Nigeria 🇳🇬 5. Tinubu cleared about N30 trillion ways and means obligations of FG with the CBN. He's not competing with anyone, just doing his job. |

Dzzzz: Yes it is,why compare a state in Nigeria to Burkina Faso?..Burkinabé faso have an increased gdp and you compare with Nigerian states like did you do your research!…The country have a gdp of 20+billion dollars so now tell me how many states in Nigeria have a gdp of 20billion dollars?..Why you Dey argue like say you no Dey check details..what is your problem with Burkina Faso ?? Lagos State's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is approximately $259 billion. Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Imo, Delta, Oyo are in the same league with Burkina Faso in terms of GDP. Many of the states flog Burkina Faso in terms of infrastructure. How many are they in Burkina Faso, lol? i have absolutely no problem with Burkina Faso, I have issues with the propaganda about Burkina Faso. there is NOTHING spectacular or different going on there that deserves all the hype of Gadaffi, Sankara, South Africa, hope of Africa etc. |

All these running to Sankara, Gadaffi, Mandela and now Tanzania. Let's keep dancing everywhere else except Burkina Faso, right? The point is very clearly made. What is the hype about Burkina Faso? Lol, sensationalism. How can Akpabio win an election where he was minister of Niger Delta? Akpabio was senator from 2015 to 2019, he was opposition leader if i remember well. That was the period he challenged SP Saraki about seat change and later apologized. He defected to APC and lost his election. PMB made him minister during this period. dkidd: Of course he can do wrong and even fail completely as any human. But trying to undermine his efforts is just pure evil. Some things he has done asides being loved
1. Nationalization and Increased State Control 2. State-Owned Mining Company and Gold Refinery 3. Focus on Local Processing and Beneficiation 4. Increased Revenue from Gold
And will do more as there's a whole lot of other minerals like diamond, bauxite, nickel, and vanadium reserves which have not really been tapped yet. Any African leader that can do the above deserves all the accolades and celebrations he can get. You lots don't know what these crooked western nations are doing all around our continent. Una just dey waka with closed eyes and swallowing their bs lies they parade through every media Nationalization as in naming places after citizens instead of foreigners is done every where. It's not an achievement though news. State owned companies and refineries is not an achievement, we've had NNPC for decades and it was almost looking like a curse and in loss and floods of corruption until recently. In a global village that the world is, international investment is the new norm. It's okay IF it helps their economy, let's hope for that. But it's not superior. Same goes for local processing. Let's see the real effects. There's a lot of insecurity and press gagging going on there for people to see the full picture. But going by the video from that YouTuber, they're not looking any different from the average Nigerian states. No where close to our mega states and cities. There's mineral resources mined all over Africa, that's not news or achievement.

YesNoMaybe: This article is spineless. The people are not complaining but a foreigner is crying catarrh over another nation's problem.
We have our own issues and they won't go away in the next 15 years. But there's a very realistic possibility that Burkina Faso will overtake Nigeria in the next 15 years. The reason is simple:
I'd rather have a ruler who's hungry for glory than another who's desperate for power.
History is full of appropriate examples What glory? How do you compare, on what metrics? |

LordReed: Spoken like a true despot wannabe. If a one-party state is a wish and blessing to Nigeria… a one-party state is not by force. “One party’s state is by negotiation, and it is by other political parties seeing the effect of the positive governance of our party. “If they decide to come to our party willingly, I think there is nothing wrong with that. “You know they say too many cooks spoil the soup — too many political parties spoil governance. “China is one of the strongest countries in the world, and it’s a one-party system. We are not saying we are working for a one-party system, but if that is the wish of Nigerians, we cannot quarrel with that.” |
