GDP, Gross/Total Domestic Product is the total value of all goods and services a country produces in a year.

In simple terms, it's like adding up everything a country makes—like cars, food, clothes, and services like haircuts or teaching—to see how rich or productive it is.
When your salary, business, my salary and that all Nigerians are added together. This is then converted to dollars.

That's the point that fellow made about exchange rate. GDP is just a di.ck measuring contest, it is pretty much useless asides bragging. You can be in debt in the trillions and zillions and have GDP.
That current $188.3 billion dollars is about 302,001,904,540,000 naira. That's 302 trillion naira. If the government foolishly pegs the dollar to 450naira per dollar as offical rate, our GDP will simply be recorded as 671 billion dollars. You can wonder why anyone should deceive himself this way.
