ShootThemAll:
What business opportunity are you referring to? In a country plagued by massive insecurity, a compromised judiciary that favors the highest bidder, a rapidly devaluing Naira, deeply entrenched corruption among leaders, unreliable and expensive electricity, low purchasing power, a declining standard of living, dilapidated roads, and a police force and EFCC riddled with corruption, it’s hard to see where real opportunity lies.
The type in the picture dear.

huh

If you're reasonable and you understand how tinubu and apc run everything on propaganda, you will not waste your precious time arguing with their senseless supporters because with time, those lies about paying off imf loans will be unveiled.
You're the one being unreasonable here. Someone cleared a debt in billions of dollars, you refuse to acknowledge or give kudos. Instead, you run to naira to tell us there's billions of naira debt. Is it not reason that the person can afford and pay the naira?

When you have no achievements anything becomes achievements. You removed subsidy and devastated the naira. Then you borrowed 13 billion dollars. But because you paid 1.9 billion dollars. Your dense supporters have created 100 threads. Meanwhile this is Nigeria external debt.
Our total public debts reduced by about $20billion, if we follow the website you are using.

The crashing of the naira worsened the situation but yes, Tinubu-led federal government has taken a lot of loans.
In fact, Tinubu has borrowed more than N13 trillion in the last 20 month.

https://dailytrust.com/fg-borrows-n13-21trn-from-world-bank-in-20-months/
Every government borrows money, at least every sensible one. But what is the money for should be the question. As a person, are you borrowing to invest like build a house, pay school fees, solve a medical emergency. Or you borrow to eat, gamble, have a party and buy shoes.
Nigeria has presently left the stage of borrowing to pay salaries, pay huge petrol subsidies and dollar subsidy. Most of the borrowing now focuses on budget financing and invested projects. Projects that should have been done 50, 25years ago when we were still mates with UAE.

Urgent1Million:
Good observation that it reduced in dollars but the dollar is not our currency.
We need to give naira to get dollars and the value of the naira has reduced enormously.
That's the more reason I don't see this as an achievement in any way.
If someone lends you $1,000 worth N750,000 and when you pay back the N750,000, you still owe him $500. Would you call that an achievement?
We earn in dollars as a nation. The big part of our debt is also foreign. Our FAAC depends a lot on how much we make from oil which is in dollars.

Nobody from that South East will ever rule Nigeria.

As for the Northern Oligarchy, Tinubu will teach them the politics that they will never forget
Not exactly true. The South East needs strategy and working with others, and of course prepping and presenting a reasonable candidate, not a dubious, duplicitous and tribal minded mediocre. Tinubu has no problem with anyone, he's bringing them all together. Currently as it stands, many people in PDP support him, same goes for NNPP at the center. He has the support of most opposition governors because he's treated them well. Even Otti and Soludo are praising him. It's mainly those losers outside power that are wailing.

$1.61 billion IMF debt cleared. OK.
It's good to rejoice when you hear "good news" about your country. I equally rejoice because I love Nigeria. I always look forward to more positive (really positive) developments about Nigeria.
However, for those who are jumping up and down on this thread, here is what they didn't tell you.

Data from the debt management office shows that by June 30, 2023, Total public debts stood at N87.379 trillion (N33.247 trillion external, N54.130 trillion domestic).
By December 31, 2024, Nigeria's total public debts stood at N144.665 trillion (N70.287 trillion external, N74.377 trillion domestic).

That is a whooping N57.286 trillion in more debts!

While data on the current figure for Nigeria's total public debts is not yet available on the DMO website, it is projected that the current figure stands at about N150 trillion.

What I am saying in summary?

Paying IMF while taking more loans from other institutions or/and countries doesn't seem like a bright spot yet.

Until the public debts figure decreases, I can't see anything remarkable that the government has done.

Don't just take my word for it. Verify here

https://www.dmo.gov.ng/debt-profile/total-public-debt
It reduced in dollars, the more stable currency. Yes or yes? A whooping $20billion debts less. Now, minus IMF own join.

It's like our election requirements of WAEC or NECO. The average politicians will not submit a PhD.

This is what PDP should have done since, if they were not filled with dubious mor0nns.

Form a shadow government, appoint shadow ministers to check the activities of the federal ministers and appointees. Keep the government on its toes.

They do it in Europe and South Africa, they do it in Kenya. it is not new and there is nothing wrong with it.

I wonder why it took anyone so long to remember the importance of a shadow government, while these corrupt politicians have a field day running the country aground unchallenged..
It's not recognized in our constitution, plus na you go cry taya if APC does this in all opposition states. They're king of opposition in Nigeria in case you're very young.

AMINDA:
Of course, the Governors are very happy. They now get more allocation to the detriment of the masses. Tinubu is taxing the poor just to cater to the elites. But how many of these governors can deliver their states to Tinubu? How many delivered their states in 2023?

What has changed between 2023 and now that will make Nigerians now vote APC? Nigerians were better off in 2023. In 2023, I can tell you for free that a lot of Northerners genuinely wanted power to shift to the South, hence why Tinubu got 5.6m votes but Tinubu has turned out to be the bad Southern choice. Northerners will now split their votes between Atiku (their own son) and Obi (those who still feel power should remain in the South).

Heads or tail, voting against Tinubu will not stop power from heading to the North in 2031. Tinubu cannot prevent that. Why should the North wait till 2031 when they have the leverage to take it now? Tinubu did not win the South, the North made him President and in a 3-horse race, he will now lose, unlike 2023.
OK sir/ma.
PoliticsRe: Opposition Govs Reconsider Move To APC by Image123(m): 5:41pm On May 04, 2025
AMINDA:
With which votes? Northern votes? Obi will definitely win the South and this time, a lot of Northerners that voted Tinubu in the North will now vote Atiku. In a 3-horse race, Tinubu will lose.
You don't know politics. The only thing that gave Obi votes outside the South East was that people were voting against APC, not voting for Obi. This time, it won't happen. There's no Emefiele or APC policies working against the party, no Muslim muslim fear, no religious or tribal manipulation outside the south east. Governors are VERY happy with Tinubu. Northerners will not vote any other Southerner as they want to be in power 2031. Except God, it's done and dusted for Tinubu the Jagaban's victory. It is what it is.
