Fair enough, it's a political topic, and statement of emergency is on the table of many people attacking and blaming, so i helped them with the point. You can't condemn and complain about SOE and still ask for or recommend it at every negative news.

Notice that you said security of the Nation, not state. Though that's not really what the president said but i get your point. Governors have constitutional and moral responsibility to govern and secure their states. They receive huge security votes. They control billions of naira budgetted for security. They know their terrain, local governments, traditional leaders and unions better. They have ability to form joint task forces and other paramilitary bodies to secure themselves. They have lockdowns and curfews. If after all these, they are somehow incompetent, they can liase with the FG for help. You need to pass or attempt these steps in a democracy. If the FG intervenes or sends in the military, it is still folks like you that would be lamenting how we're not in dictatorship, how FG is unconstitutional, how Legislative is legalizing unconstitutionality, etc.
