DeepSight:Errr, perhaps because people see your motives. You're not usually asking genuinely to know, or from ignorance. |

No, i don't. i hardly talk of myself. This is different from knowing who i am. Knowing who i am or my worth and priority, is different from making everything about me. i know what i know, that's confidence and experience. |
DeepSight:Take your L.
|
RPG2020:It's common sense. i know people that HAVE property in the US. They are not any where near even councillor's class, not to mention 2 time governor of a state like Rivers. Please, be realistic. Who is deceiving you that governors/politicians don't earn money? The same you will still go to another thread to say just few people are collecting so so percent of Nigeria's budget. But here, you want agenda to agend, so we assume that governor is collecting NYSC or lecturer salary. SMH |
DMerciful:We are watching, there is nowhere i have defended criminality. i have simply stated the obvious. There is NOTHING implicating Wike in what Sowore posted. His name is not even there. Like i stated, it is not a crime to own property or foreign bank account. There is nothing to show that any property belongs to Wike. The houses also cost around 500k USD, not the 1million USD Sowore claimed. The same papers show they were bought before Wike was governor and it's not Wike's name. So where is your/Sowore's case here? Asking you reasonable questions is not defending criminality. Know this and know peace, your governors are very wealthy people. They were not private school teachers or corps members before running for office. When you act oblivious to these simple facts, you become frustrated later on, thinking that the system/justice didn't favour you. In reality, you did not do your homework. Allegations need PROOF. |
DeepSight:It's exciting that the current FG got the refineries working for a couple of months after many years of not working. i think there's a second part of the refinery at Rivers State that is more modern also. If it works, great. i want Nigeria to refine its own crude instead of importing and subsidising imports. Dangote seems to be getting a good hang of this in the past two years, first time in Nigeria. He's even exporting refined products. BECAUSE of this, i don't need the government refineries to work. i am getting what i wanted from Dangote at zero cost, compared to FG spending billions to get my wish of Nigeria refining crude, to little or no avail. i'm not sure you heard what Dangote said about Ajaokuta last week. That point punctured my desires for that place. i'd rather have a new one than them spending billions on an old model. At this point, selling it off looks better. i have similar thoughts on the refineries now, except they are different problems. Heard other private refineries are getting ready, would be great. With them, government is better off having no business in running refineries. |
LordReed:Because you say so as usual, and you accuse me of being narcissistic for being sure of what i am doing oh. |
SarkinYarki:i clearly said export, what are you reading? |
DeepSight:i don't need the refineries to work, though would be glad if they could. i have come to realize that it is more important for us to stop fuel subsidies and get private refineries working than spending huge amounts annual on turn around maintenance of refineries and Ajaokuta for decades. Like Dangote said recently, it seems those things are never going to work. Except we just spend so much to make them work for ego sake. What Tinubu has focused on are the major like improving our O and G sector which he has done and is doing greatly. oil theft is at its lowest in over a decade. Export is also up, which is great. |
Spaceshooter:Obi can afford those properties, there is no different song here. We should not be joking and wasting time on gists. |
RPG2020:i don't know his salary, but i know that middle class people cannot win governorship elections in Rivers State in today's Nigeria. Help me please. Also help me answer if you would rather be 2 time governor of Rivers state or work as Bank manager? |
LordReed:More false accusations rather. |
uniquetechng:My dear, you lied or were ignorant about the constitution. That is the issue, not your life story. You said that our constitution says a political office holder should not own property or operate bank account abroad while in office. This was false. Nobody is celebrating him, just stating the obvious. You need to prove what you allege, instead of this waste of time on gists that have not in any way implicated Wike. |
Ykc2:Exactly, where did he get the money from. That is what you need to prove. Not telling me or acting shocked that Nigerian governors can afford houses. Are they corps members or something? |
Arostar2023:You think people leave high school to become governor? Why didn't you or your lineage try it if it is so easy. People who run for governorship of RIVERS State are not middle class people. Do you understand Nigeria at all? Why are you guys talking like governors are poor in Nigeria? Do you know how much these people spend before they even win elections? You're now basing their financial capacity on something you read online? You need to prove money laundering, not just allege. Is it property or bank account that you think Wike cannot provide? Please be real. You need the prayers more than these guys. |
themanderon:Tell me. A high court whose husband has been almost everything in Nigeria cannot afford buying house in Western country. What are you guys taking, are you for real? |
DMerciful:Prove to who? Even you can get affidavit to prove what you want in Nigeria. Is it a Judge that cannot get documents? What are you guys really talking about? Ordinary student that wants to travel abroad can give bank statement in millions, what are you now saying about a rich and powerful family? Do you think politics at that level is for the poor? |
OsunOriginal:You forgot all earnings of the names on the property. Then how you want to link it to Wike, and the place he probably "stole' from. Do you have these info, i'll shout and scream louder than you. Thanks. You think people who have less than 600k USD can be Rivers State governor in current republic Nigeria? You assume they have no source of income and are like the usual NYSC corps members? What i am saying is that you must prove, not just allege. Allegation is not enough with these guys. Even you can get documents for financial statements if you need them in Nigeria, not to mention the powerful and connected. So give something concrete, not just assumptions. There's no point rejoicing over nothing. Do you think a governor is a student looking for student visa? |
Peak jokes on a Sunday this. Scientists don't know anything about the topic. |
DeepSight:Keep suspecting, it will look good on your resume. |
OsunOriginal:Errm, the front page picture says the house was bought in 2011? Perhaps you want to calculate from some years before 2011 till date if you care. Plus all earnings of the names on the property. Then how you want to link it to Wike, and the place he probably "stole' from. Do you have these info, i'll shout and scream louder than you. Thanks. |
chigo32:Is it a crime sir? Enlighten me instead of calling God. Where is it in the constitution that public officers cannot own property? i feel your pain, but it must be logically channelled. |
DeepSight:You must have missed my emojis. Use quality internet so that emojis can load dear. |
Petacephas:Type Wike's net worth on google. Come with solid arguments, not hints magazine kind of news. |
Boomyvig:Calm down dear. You lied about the constitution and i corrected you. Take note of the correction instead of being emotional. i am not defending anything, just stating obvious facts. It's the reason why many of you feel cheated by the system and feel that there was no justice, because your case was never a case in the first place. You said "Firstly our constitution says a political office holder should not own property or operate bank account abroad while in office, going by the dates on the documents provided by Sowore all of the said properties were acquired while he was occupying public offices." Now you are talking about people living in Rivers State. Are these the arguments that would convict Wike or anyone? You need to be able to prove that Wike owns the said property(ies), and that he stole to acquire them. You have not proven that. You are only being emotional about the government. When did Wike buy property, no date. How much, assumption. Bring out strong facts, don't follow Sowore on fruitless mission. |
LordReed:Take am.
|
uniquetechng:i missed the date BTW. Let me help you a bit with the constitution. Section 7 of the Code of Conduct Bureau & Tribunal Act (Act Cap 56, Laws of Federation of Nigeria 1990), public officers are required to declare all assets, income, and liabilities. This includes bank accounts. DECLARE, it doesn't say don't own. And there's nothing Sowore has shown to prove that Wike owns an account abroad or not. The law prohibits a public officer from operating a bank account outside Nigeria while in office, unless approved or declared. i have never heard of not owning properties abroad. Kindly share what part of the constitution that is stated. i am curious, what is Wike's salary and that of the wife. Or we are just assuming? Are public servants under some vow of poverty that i am unaware of? You deliberately avoided my question for obvious reasons. We all know what we are doing. |
Sundaymessi:Can you share, you seem to have a great idea? All i know is that any governor of Rivers state is more powerful and richer than some people that i know who have houses abroad. Maybe i am too real, help me out with the originals. |
Ezmans:Oh, can he? i never knew. Thanks for this life changing info. |
Boomyvig:We are not intelligent, you are. Please help me with the figures. T for thanks. |
