WhizdomXX: I literally said I take my words back. I know OBJ wanted to plant governors in the southwest then but seeing Ladoja was also PDP I thought It favoured him. How deep was Tinubu's role in GEJ's election in 2011? Tinubu and ACN soft-pedaled their support for Ribadu, indirectly benefiting Jonathan. Similar to what Atiku was expecting from Obi in 2023. Buhari would have benefited from the 'wasted/split' votes of the SW going to ACN. Tinubu struck a political understanding with the PDP: in exchange for not aggressively challenging Jonathan in the South-West, ACN was allowed to consolidate control of Lagos and other South-West states in the governorship and legislative elections. This arrangement helped Jonathan secure significant votes in the South-West, contributing to his overall victory. |

MrGerald: So all these pictures you're sending here you want to justify that Obi intentionally called him "my dear brother",? I didn't see anything wrong with it. And stop mentioning Zik and Ironsi if you truly don't care You said "in our side we refer to our seniors/elder as Brother (Dede) to show respect". i sent the pictures to show you Obi knows what he is doing to show respect. Lolz, so you know the truth about Azikwe and Ironsi. Funny |

WhizdomXX: I take my words back. You can educate me. I used party basis for my assertion. One, they were both elected as senators under the SDP platform in the 90s. Two, when governor Ladoja ran into impeachment trouble with OBJ, it was Tinubu that he ran to. Tinubu helped him with the court processes and getting back justice through the Supreme Court. You evidently don't know the powerplay and underground hold Tinubu has on South politics even to GEJ's election win in 2011. Anyway, i leave you to your beliefs. |

MrGerald: And so what, in our side we refer to our seniors/elder as Brother (Dede) to show respect while your age mates or junior ones you call them by their names.
For disintegration, nothing is impossible either today or tomorrow it doesn't mean I don't like Nigeria, only that we are people with different backgrounds and culture that needs their states nation, that's how Europe did it for progress, Nigeria is too stagnant due to ethnic bigotry The clear problem is that you only see things from your SIDE. Nigeria is not one sided. A politician needs to be emotionally intelligent and responsible enough to know the different sides and respect them. i did not mention anything about disintegration. This obsession with disintegration needs medical treatment. Every discussion, fix in disintegration. Go to the proper, lawful channels if you want disintegration. i am not Azikwe or Ironsi that ensured your dream is so difficult.

nams77: You seem intelligent but hatred, bias and ethnicity has eroded your sense of professionalism. When did seniority crept into this issue? Obi is a man like the Olubadan. They were both former governors around same time too. This is professional matter and not some family meeting. Obi is not a subject of the Olubadan. You lots are just pathetic anyway You forget the fact that seniority is a clear FACT. Obi addressing his age mate like Soludo and the Obi as elder brother says a lot. They are not in the same class. Professionality comes with intelligence. |

This has been explained many times and Obi himself has unusually taken to correction and given a semblance of apology/explanation. https://x.com/PeterObi/status/1972179171196465455?t=asg2iyWUO-oMwROcXkprmw&s=19Obi's son, Oseloka cannot be calling his mother dear sister, just because she's about 17years older than him. Obi is 17years younger than the Olubadan. Both Atiku and president Tinubu are closer in age to the Olubadan, and have been his seniors politically. The President and former VP are no 1 and no 2 positions in the nation. Moreover, as senators, senator Tinubu was a higher ranking senator than him. In practice and life, the trio have been close friends for decades. The same is not applicable to Obi. |

I don't know when you people will finally get it into your heads that the presidency doesn't really favour the ethnicity from which the president comes from. Fulani suffered greatly during Buhari's disastrous tenures, Yorubas are crying in bitterness and hunger in this Tinubu tenure, every Nigeria is feeling the heat and hardship due to this bad leadership. What the SE wants is a presidency that would make life better for the common man, because when the common man is happy and comfortable, the whole Nigeria is happy.
SE massively voted for Obasanjo in 2003, they also voted for Yar'Adua despite Ojukwu of all people contesting in that election, Yar'Adua still won majority vote in SE. They campaigned and stood behind Jonathan till the very end. What are you saying, please speak English. |

ElevationD: It’s such a shame that Nigeria has youths like you, who reason upside down. If you took your time to read what you wrote, on a second thought, you would have said shame to yourself.
You so contradicted yourself. Ladoja is older than Tinubu and yet the same Tinubu addressed him as “brother”. That’s Tinubu, who is a of the same tribe as Ladoja. So Tinubu’s justification for addressing Ladoja as brother rests on the fact that he and Tinubu were Senators in 1992 - 93, when you were not even born. Did that eliminate the fact of the age difference between the two men? If Tinubu and Ladoja were Senators and Governors at the same time, how then did you claim that Tinubu was superior. The same you claimed that Tinubu and Atiku were superiors to Ladoja. How did that by your poor understanding justify Tinubu addressing him and brother, and Obi addressing him as “dear brother” became an issue? Why did Tinubu who addressed him as brother, escape your claim of disrespecting the newly installed Oba? Some of you youths, make mockery of very decent people, causing ethnic tensions where there’s not and absolutely disgracing yourselves. The gap you miraculously failed to see is the age gap between Obi and the Olubadan. The age gap is less between the Olubadan and the other two. Also, they have been close friends indeed for a while, not just colleagues. President Tinubu was a higher ranking senator to senator Ladoja. He's also currently higher as president, same goes for the former VP. They were/are his seniors at work/politics. Obi on the other hand was just a distance co governor. Not close enough. Not my fault that you don't understand this, ask Obi to explain to you. He has apologized. |

Obi and his people go still carry strong head for the matter, and dem they find votes oh. Votes wey no fit complete. Imagine me your mate, working with someone the mate of your father and I start calling him dear brother. It's not african or Nigerian. Perhaps Gen Alpha, but Obi is not Gen Alpha and should know better. Exercise some emotional intelligence.
Oba Ladoja is slightly older than Atiku and president Tinubu, and they have worked together as friends since as far back as 1990. Oba Ladoja and President Tinubu were both senators in 1990, and Tinubu was senior in rank. Also they served together as close governors, with governor Tinubu helping governor Ladoja, even in time of distress. This is open national knowledge. Now, Tinubu is president. Tinubu and Atiku have both been close friends and superiors to Oba Ladoja. It's incomparable to Obi who was coincidence governor in 2006 with them. The relationship is not same. Oseloka Obi cannot be calling his mother, dear sister. She's about 17 years older than him. Or what do i know, he does? |

Really? Slaughter of Christians? Common. That is not true. Agreed that there's insecurity in Nigeria, especially in the northern part and the self inflicted one in the South East. But it's not specifically targeted at a particular religion or belief. Towns, markets, villages, farms, buses and so on are attacked, regardless of religion. It's a lie to claim it's because they believe in Jesus Christ.
Imagine someone brazenly saying 500,000 Christians were unalived in Nigeria last year. How can someone with conscience say this?
