Christianity Etc › Re: Who Is Worshiping Idol Now?; Traditionalist Asks As He Shares These Photos by IMASTEX:
At the end, it will be the love for God, self, neighbours and all that will count. Pentecostals says Catholics bow to image and pray using rosary. Catholics says Pentecostals are using handkerchief, holy water to pray and wearing hand bands, necklace, car flex with the pictures of their G.O's as protective shield. Yet the both condemn traditional worshippers for serving idol. What a paradox

Atiku give us holistic restructuring we will vote you, buhari is confused and not in control of government.
We will never get it right if we continue to wait and believe that elected leaders alone will take decision that will change Nigeria. Not until the people unite to force them to do what we need. The elite will always do what will be in their interest, be it Buhari, Atiku, Banbangida, GEJ, etc. PDP or APC. North or South. They are all the same.

How come the kidnappers are just starting to realized those they should abduct. The politicians are the problems of this country. They created a system that forced you into what you're doing now. So, please tell your comrades to go after the politicians only. By the way, the money requested for is chicken change compare to what they have taken from your collective purse.

I believe the country is supposed to be ran under a constitution that equally spelt out the right of everyone. It is better to free 10 criminals than to hold one innocent person ransom "the perspective of the civilized world". I have never had any personal encounter with SARS before. Yet I have seen them going about harassing people just because of their looks, cars & the intention to extort money. Where was it specified in the constitution on how people should appear when not nude. You stated that they sometimes take hard drugs because of their duties. So you believe they will be in the right frame of mind to function responsibly? Which constitution gave them the right to smoke weed? Who made them a judge to pronounce a suspect guilty?
Finally, I pray you come across SARS while driving alone at night with money in your trunk as a contractor or employee with valid I.D. And see if you will live to tell the story.

I went to a Naijabet shop to charge my phone today. And I was weeping inside of me to see young uneployed men playing visual game for hours just because their are no jobs and everyone is looking for free money.

I have always maintained that the best reform Nigeria needs presently is fiscal federalism(restructuring). Not secession.

Wish the north will agree to this.
You said it at bolded. They didn't have jobs.
Not because they were looking for free money.
It is so sad to see Nigeria government deliberately breeding army of unemployment youth. Funny enough educated ones for that matter. Boko Haram, militancy, herdsmen, cultism, kidnapping, etc currently witnessed now is a child's place when the real trouble will start. Even the so could elite won't have where to hide.

Una dey fear.

However, it is because the Nigerians keep electing lazy, old, thieves & unintelligent set of people that should not have had any business in governance that Nigeria is still in a mess. Restructuring shouldn't be a battle or competition between states/regions. It would have been a complementing affair which will result to good growth and development to all.

I couldn't agree more to your submission. It is quite unfortunate that many are just getting to know. I have known these right from the days of "Church Of God Mission, Spirit and life bible church, etc". Even in RCCG it will be almost impossible before a none Yoruba will emerge GO in years to come. Just as getting a black Pop in catholic. Many members fail to see the heavy politics going on in the church. The truth is many of this men of God started on a good note. But along the line the love for money & power distracted them from the real calling & message of love & salvation. The members believed once saved is always saved. Therefore, their papa should always be right failing to see the end account of Moses, David, etc. I would refer you to see this movie "Kingdom of Heaven". It clearly revealed all that religion is all about. The teaching of Jesus is the direct opposite of what is practiced in this modern day. Let Nigeria have good governance. I.e. jobs, healthcare, shelter, food, etc. Only then, we will know how truly religious we are. Until then, hope is what is left. Therefore, the religious leaders work on the people's psych control their minds and sell the hope for them. To achieve that, they want you to rely on them for knowledge, indirectly you will be accessing God through them "bringing back the old system of the veil in the temple Jesus torn". They want you to view church building as church "bringing back the temple arrangement Jesus destroyed". In the old testament, the people seek God and hear messages via the prophets. But in the new testament Jesus is the only way to reaching and hearing from God. We are all believers in Christ. God empowers anyone that seek Him diligently in Holiness. There shouldn't be any other papa or mama in the Lord. Jesus alone is the papa & mama in the Lord. Every other person is a fellow believer in faith.

Mintayo:
The devil is using this tithe thing to distract people, and it is unfortunate that so many people especially Christians are falling for it. The more important thing , which is the salvation of our soul is being neglected.
Most people saying they do not tithe are not even born again, yet they claim they give to the poor - which will not also save anybody.
You can tithe all you want, you can also decide not to tithe - but if you are not born again, if you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal saviour, then you are just wasting your time - you are condemned already. So all this buhahaa about tithe is just a distraction.
This is the message of Jesus Christ.
Salvation!!! Unfortunately, this message is hardly heard in churches this days. A choir member can even fornicate with an usher & still feel at ease to minister in church. Let alone other none believers. The idea now is tell your members what they wish to hear to keep the church population intact & numbers growing and of course make more money.
Christianity Etc › Re: Tithing Is Not Compulsory - D.K Olukoya by IMASTEX:
Jesus emphasized on giving, love, mercies & charity. Presenting freewill at the same time. If the church could hold unto the earlier mentioned. The world would be a better place. Christianity was brought to Africa via service rendering of love. I.e the missionary brought, free healthcare, free school, free shelter, etc. People saw that their needs were been taking care of in love without demanding anything in return. This act convinced the people to freely and easily accept Christianity. Not this present day church arrangement of greed.

Post a pastor to a rural area where many really need salvation and see the real interest of this "men of God"

When you have money: Traditional rules will honour you. Churches will give you title. You will be called Alhaji by the Muslim. Your tribesmen will salute you. The youth will hail you. Your family will love you. No one will call you to order when not meeting the expectation for which you were elected. Yet, people believe Nigeria will get it right. . .Why won't morality die?!

In the western world, you may divert funds successfully. But where do you keep it and how would you spend it. Is what give the system a better checks.
Christianity Etc › Re: Daddy Freeze Reacts To Ashimolowo's Allegations: "I Didn't Beat My Ex-Wife" by IMASTEX:
Freeze you have given them enough nightmare already. Your question to them is like: what is the origin of God which has no answer. The only thing left is to respond emotionally in defence for the goodies. It was hard to let go Moses people because of the free services & benefits. Same way it is hard to account for or stop the free money that pour in just by reading and delivering a sermon.
The main thing I understand from this your movement is that it has expose so many church members who have not be reading their bibles and seeking God on a personal note. If you believe your pastors over your own understanding of the bible. Then reason the following: was your pastor not worshipping as a member before he founded his own ministry? Why did he leave to open his own? To the later, most will always claim some of the doctrine wasn't biblical? That means he had his personal interpretation which made him fall out. If that been the case why can't you have right to interpret the bible to your own understanding? Why should the body of Christ have different ways of doing things?

By the way, the real essence of so many denominations everywhere is not to spread the gospel but to be in charge of the resources as head "G.O". That is why in most of these Pentecostals, when the pastors dies, the wife, children, siblings, family, kinsmen, takes over.

Well, I accept the message but not the messenger. You appear to be on the side of the people because of election. I have never in my life had confidence in any political leader like I had for Buhari. There was nothing on earth he didn't say just as Atiku is saying now. And the end result is to do even worse of what he condemn in GEJ government. By the way, What difference did Atiku forgot to make during their tenure that he now want to effect?

I can never trust any Nigeria politicians.

There are other issues that require the attention of Christians.
Why must they all focus on tithing.

The no2 man in Nigeria, is a Pastor. Yet, there is still a high level of corruption in the system, which this same man comes out openly to defend.

The issue of boko haram is there. Can't they Chanel this energy to praying for peace in that region?
So many churches have relocated from that region. Nobody is ready to die for the sake of the gospel, again.

The bible has stated what tight should be used for:

Deuteronomy 14

NIV:28. At the end of every three years, bring all the tithes of that year’s produce and store it in your towns,

NIV:29. so that the Levites (who have no allotment or inheritance of their own) and the foreigners, the fatherless and the widows who live in your towns may come and eat and be satisfied, and so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.

Are they using it for those purposes?

Malachi 3:10
NIV:Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house...

Can we still say there is food in the store house today?
How many people have they been feeding from the store house?

We are not against contributing money in places of worship, we are only concern about the usage.
Any organization/ body needs money to function well.
Lol. . .at bolded. The apostles that were persecuted to the point of death didn't know the Christ or the bible I guess?! The new edition now is what can i benefit from the gospel.
Christianity Etc › Re: God Himself Convinced Me Tithing Was Right - Pastor Adeboye by IMASTEX:
It is in human nature to protect and defend his source of income. If their interest is truly for God. They won't be having this much interest in tithing against salvation & love messages. How come the Pentecostals are the main body fighting & grieving about tithing. Are there no Catholic, Methodist, Baptist, etc. Who obviously were the earliest churches from where these Pentecostals broke out from. Why didn't they unite like this to fight the social ills in the society. I see businessmen fight to survive their businesses period.
However, the matters of Christianity are loaded in the bible. Study it for yourself and act according to your own understanding not what others interpret for you because if you so depend on your pastor's interpretations. Then you need to ask yourself, why do we have so many denominations?
