No sane Nigerians still take the words of politicians to heart. So much shall, will, plan to, going to, etc have been said over the years by different rulers. The only time you see immediate result is when fuel subsidy was removed, purchase of yacht, SUV, emails to bank accounts and any other personal benefits.

Every police officer due for retirement suppose to have been given retirement notice three months ago to proceed on terminal leave. Which one is writing of retirement letter again?

I was at one of their Divisional Office last week. I remarked on the vehicles littered around for various reasons. One of the feedback wondered me, imagine a police officer saying one of the vehicle was a recovered stolen car. That it has been there for years, that the owner might be from another state, hence it will be difficult for him to trace it. And I replied, a simple data base where the details "license plate, engine number & chassis number" can be viewed by all or even only the police authority would have saved the stress. There is actually no hope for Nigeria in reality.

There is a difference between helping & funding someone's lifestyle. Help is when you properly setup a few as able & they themselves replicate same to others with time the entire family members will be self-sufficient. But no, most don't want self-sufficiency rather they just want an ATM where they draw cash to spend on useless things simply because they are related to xyz. They help you to calculate your earnings & expect certain percentage simply because they are tagged relatives. If things go south, the same people will question how you spent your money. Entitled mentality persons are worse than thieves, they are household enemies & could be dangerous.

It all depends on you. Driving is more of brain work than physical activities. For me, I just asked which is brake, gas, etc. I memorized it and when I finally got the chance, that was it. I stepped on it very little to see the feedback for moving into the road. Las las, driving na mind.
