stinggy: Freeze, you've made sense thus far, but on this, no matter how we put it, Copyright theft and similar crimes are very serious offences that should never be allowed in any form it comes Agreed. But wasn't the bible written by someone that is heavily quoted without permission? |
Christianity Etc › Re: RCCG "Open Heaven": Daddy Freeze Reacts To Ban On Unauthorized Publication by IMASTEX: 6:43pm On Jan 09, 2018 |
Flets: Now this is the crux of the matter, There is no Christianity without love. Infact, the bible clearly stated that the greatest of all the commandment is love. Gideons international share free bible, Jehovah witness issue monthly publications free of charge, churches all over the west contribute immensely towards free outreach in Africa.
The problem the Nigerian churches face today is the absence of love in the practice of Christianity. Jesus died because of love, almost all the miracles by Jesus in the bible were borne out of love.
The early missionaries who brought Christianity went through untold hardship and death in the hand of malaria, many diseases and boat mishaps.... yet they were determined to bring us the gospel with the accompanying free schools, medical care, technology etc.
Unfortunately, what we have in Nigerian churches is greed, envy, hate and gross materialism. How can churches sit back and watch the multi-suffering of its members and yet seek to take away their money in the name of offering, tithe, first fruit etc? Tithing in the old testament was borne out of love "so that there will be meat in the house".... for everyone. In the absence of love, any teaching on giving is useless.
Infact, the state of our society is the reflection of the state of the church. The alarming lack of love is the major difference between the western and African society. That nature of our politics, economy, security etc is lack of love. If the church which should be the biblical lamp is hiding its love under the bushel...... how exactly do they intend to project Christ. Unfortunately, the Nigerian church spends more time defending its unloving practices than draw men to Christ.
Freeze will continue to win until the Church retraces its step back to Love because Love is the greatest. Without Love, Christianity cannot survive. Without Love, our fore fathers would never have left their traditional practices for Christianity. Seconded |

masterP042: The effort we Nigerians put into religious activities, if we had directed it into science, technology, agriculture, discipline etc. This country would have been a better place. We don't need devotionals we need research writings I couldn't agree more to your submission. China, Dubai, Saudi Arabia are carrying out research to better their countries. Funny enough, None of those countries prays more than Nigeria. |

pocohantas: Nigerian women are naturally under pressure, I wouldn't doubt you if you say no one is pressurising her. The womb-watchers are timing us, how else do we prove to them that we're not refurbished oloshos? You sef put yourself in our shoes... You're correct. It is funny how some persons allow society to push them around. Most people create problem for themselves. I know of a woman who took her inability to produce a male child as her problem. Well as the husband doesn't care about the gender. He was rather comfortable with the numbers of kids he got & could care for. |

A long writeup but factual especially at the last paragraph. It is quite ironic that a government abandons education and affordable food and concentrate on fighting insurgency. When of course a hungry man is an angry man cable of doing anything. My prediction is simple. Many have fled the country and so much more will even as the hope for a better country continue to decline. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: I Want To Join The Nigerian Army ,but I have questions by IMASTEX: 4:20pm On Dec 31, 2017 |
PatrickOkunima: To the best of my knowledge, there is nothing like non-combatant in the Army. Be you in the medical, engineering or finance corp, your primary assignment as a soldier is to defend your country. Hence, there's the possibility of you dying in combat. Or are you saying that since the beginning of Boko Haram, no medical, engineering of finance personnel has been killed? Well there are combatant and non combatant in the army, that doesn't mean they are not given the needed training on how to fight. Note: In a case of real war all are mobilized for battle including all paramilitaries, random able youths are not also left out. However, that is the extreme cases. Meaning, you can't compel the risk of infantry soldier to a soldier who are in band unit, education, legal unit, accounting, admin, etc. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: I Want To Join The Nigerian Army ,but I have questions by IMASTEX: 3:58pm On Dec 31, 2017 |
Emzyme: Serious Sure I have a girlfriend who had such experience. She picked the form without influencing it. She was invited for training. The training covers physical & mental. She went through hell during the physical training. She performed well during the academic section. She was posted to Education unit (Lagos). Luckily for her, she picked a course in the army "nursing" just a year plus in the service. She should be graduating this year. Note: the army is a structured body. It has series of units. I.e Health, Education, Engineering, Combatant/infantry, Legal, Military Police, Band, Catering, Admin, etc. Being in the army doesn't mean you will be carrying arms all around. Except in a case of war. They may all be mobilized even other paramilitaries won't be exempted. Just follow your passion. . .My advise. |

Al the best! You spoke brilliantly. Nice question and remark at the bolded. Though, if he performs excellently during the academic work at the training camp. He stands to pass out as non combatant. I.e admin, school, health, etc |
