RomanceRe: Is Marriage Partner A Matter Of Choice Or Destiny? by IMCCN(op): 4:16pm On Jul 29, 2008
madamkoko:
MARRIAGE IS A MATTER OF CHOICE.
Yeah but how do you know if the choice you make is the right one? the one destined for you? that is the crux of the matter!

But the choice of who in this case was not entirely that of the man, she was chosen for him, destined for him, agreehuh

May be this will explain what i am driving at: the friend in question wanted to marry. He prayed and fasted for a while with no one in mind, then he had a dream in which he saw a slender, dark complexioned lady. Her name, location and other details were also given. He told us this before he left for the location. They've since been married.

Advanced Common Sense TM

thats all.
still thinking: but what of those whose partners were revealed to them in dreams? sometimes people they have never met before? you can't stretch the issue of choice and common sense too far without running into more questions
RomanceRe: Why Do You Want To Get Married? by IMCCN(m): 12:06pm On Jul 29, 2008
Regardless of the mess we humans have made of the marriage institution, i believe God who created us male and females has a purpose. That purpose includes [but not limited to] marriage.
RomanceRe: Is Marriage Partner A Matter Of Choice Or Destiny? by IMCCN(op): 11:55am On Jul 29, 2008

Matter of Choice.

Destiny is the choice that becomes You
yeah! you've taken me to a whole new realm of thinking and re-thinking there!
RomanceIs Marriage Partner A Matter Of Choice Or Destiny? by IMCCN(op): 11:20am On Jul 29, 2008
I need advise from married couples and matured adults in the house on this: is a wife a matter of choice or destiny? when you have got choices to make, are there any inward witnesses to indicate who is the one? or you just go ahead to pick who you like most?

stop corruption in nigeria and throw allthose politician thieves in prison
Remember the power is just for a period of time. I can assure you that immediately you give it back to God, the politicians you imprisoned will file an appeal, and of course they will win [no be Nigeria we dey?] and they will be back to continue, grin grin grin

I watched an interesting comedy called BRUCE ALMIGHTY recently. It is about a God-critic who was eventually given the privilege to play God for a while, and what a hilarious mess he made of it! But it got me thinking, if you have the powers of God what will you do with it? any opinions in the house?
LiteratureRe: Which Novels Can You Read Over And Over Like The First Time? by IMCCN(m): 12:08pm On Jul 15, 2008
vividly, three books stand out: Lives of The Poets, by E.L.DOCTOROW. It is a book that i am still looking for words to describe, it takes you on a journey of discovery during which you either belt up or be pushed out and when you think you are almost losing your mind, it reconciles you to yourself, lands safely and bids you a painful farewell. The other one is Brave New World, by Aldous Huxley. It is a bold prophecy on the roles of reproductive science in the future of mankind. it presents what the world will be like in about six-hundred years from now. I came across the third one recently, it is titled, As A Man Thinketh, by James Allen. The book is a slim volume, just 7 chapters but it is a timeless classic!
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nigeria Lost Over 20 Graduate In Immigration And Prison Recruitment by IMCCN(m): 11:22am On Jul 15, 2008
It is high time our leaders [or rulers] plug the loopholes through which politicians siphon our resources, tidy up the tax system to make it more effective, recover our stolen wealth and introduce some kind of social security for the teeming desperate masses. Even with these horrifying reports, if another organization announces mass vacancies tomorrow, countless numbers of folks will still file out for it and you will still hear of similar tragic tales. the people are simply poor and hungry and will rather die trying than sit in one place to die. its unfortunate that successive governments have failed to realize how serious the issue of poverty is in Nigeria, or they callously ignored it.
TravelRe: Frustrated! Pls Hlp Me by IMCCN(m): 2:29pm On Jul 11, 2008
May be this personal account will encourage you more: I applied in December 2006, i was denied, i re-applied in April 2007 i was still denied, their reason for the first refusal was that i presented a forged bank statement, on the second occasion, i presented the same set of documents attached with a note from the bank . This time, they say the ''interest calculation'' on the bank statement was not proper. We then went on appeal and you will be surprised that at the hearing, they have no single evidence to defend their claims. I got my visa in August 2007 and i am since in the U.K. It could be painful, especially when you are sure your documents are not from OLUWOLE, i felt the same way, but don't give up, go on appeal and don't forget to pray about it, good-luck !
Christianity EtcRe: I Don't Feel Like Going To Church: What's Wrong? by IMCCN(m): 1:19pm On Jul 09, 2008
Otokx my brother, If you want to wait for the time when every pastor will become like Jesus Christ before you serve God you will wait forever! even after listening to recorded sermons as you suggests, you will still have to come out and practice what you have heard from God and believed, that is service to God, 'getting busy' for HIM
Christianity EtcRe: I Don't Feel Like Going To Church: What's Wrong? by IMCCN(m): 12:48pm On Jul 09, 2008
We all feel that way sometimes, one of the ways to overcome this is to identify a group within the church you have interest in, take up a responsibility there and get busy for God! i had a similar challenge way back, then i joined both Drama and Media departments, and that has made going to church very exciting for me since! Don't forget the mind is like a garden, you need to prune it constantly to keep it beautiful and avoid 'weeds' overtaking it. Bless you
FamilyRe: Moving To Separate Rooms After Many Years Of Marriage by IMCCN(m): 7:46pm On Jul 08, 2008
my honest submission is that couples should have separate rooms if they can afford it, too much intimacy can be suffocating. I, for one have moments in my life when i just want to be alone to reflect and meditate. i will definitely have a private room when i marry and that will not make me love my wife less.
PoliticsRe: No Nigerian Citizenship For British By Marriage by IMCCN(m): 5:10pm On Jul 02, 2008
Eziachi:
Please tell your English wife that their refusal is a blessing for her in disguise. Why on earth does she want to be a Nigerian citizen? Have you introduced her to Sapele water or what that has turn her brain upside down? Many of us want to throw Nigerian citizenship into the River Niger if possible and someone is sane enough to want one. She can have mine if she is that desperate. I know blind Nigerian patriots will all come out of the wood works now and jump on my throat but they knew I am saying the truth.

But how many places do they travel with Nigerian passport if they has an alternative? Those useless people at the embassy that call themselves diplomats need their heads examined for refusing any willing lamb a citizenship of a yawaa country like Nigeria. This is what happen when you have a gworo chewing mallam as president, a junta bastard man as senate president, a former hungry teacher as vice president, a motor mouth as speaker and a nonentity of Ojo Nmaduekwe as foreign minister.
bros, i understand your anger but that was too rough and raw, especially the name-callings! don't you see from even that report that for NAIJA, all hope is not lost yet? Let's keep hope alive pls.

i was in J.S.2 she was in S.S.1, her mum ran a restaurant, we were neighbors and i use to stay at her place to kill time. one  particular night, she asked me to stay longer to keep her company. i agreed. after a while, her mum suspecting nothing went in to sleep, she then took me to their parlour, my heart began to pump as i did not know what was going to happen. she undressed and, it was a horrible experience for me, till now anytime i see her, i can't help but remember
Christianity EtcRe: Some Of Pastor E.A Adeboye's Testimonies by IMCCN(m): 12:56pm On Jun 20, 2008
What God has done so far through pastor Adeboye and every other man/woman of God ever known, what HE will yet do through all of them and the ones yet to manifest, constitute just a tiny bit of the immeasurable power of the Most High God. There is no way human mind can fathom the ways of God, and till the kingdom of God comes, there will always be those who chose not to believe and those that will not believe anything beyond human reasoning.
