Politics › Re: Ibrahim Obanikoro Domiciliary Account Ban: Why It's Stupid by ImDStar: 10:16am On Sep 30, 2021 |
I personally agreed with obanikoro to some extent. Let's put it this way, can we have the people in diaspora send in dollars as usual and allow only the banks sell it to people who only needs it for either traveling purposes or something more important? This will totally cut out aboki hoarding dollars. Nobody should have access to it except the banks, the people sending in their dollars should sell it to the banks only. bigtt76: Clout chasers. It would make sense what the law maker is saying if the CBN prevents local funding of the domiciliary accounts from within Nigeria (by cash or electronically). It should be tied to receiving inflows only. The only exception would be for banks tying outflows approved to the account but not lodge it in.
Allowing it to be funded locally is the reason why many hoard forex. Trust me if they do this, rates would drop drastically. |

I think your point is contradictory. You need to also understand that a ship cannot be without a captain, and at the same time it can't have two captains, one person must be incharge. It's either the woman is the head of the home or the the man! CharisEleos: My response was not to this post here. after reading this, I knew it was an update of a previous post somewhere. So, I went to his profile and found the previous post. That was what I responded to.

doyinisaac: Free info on how I earn extra 250k every month.......Go to access bank, open a current account....request for their visa gold card or classic visa card, for current account , it has a monthly limit of up to $3,000.....so that is why you need the visa gold card.......then fund USDT at the official access bank usd rate which is less than 420naira then resell it at 500naira.....or use it to buy bitcoin and resell...what makes it profitable is the difference in the bank rate and the black market rate....Goodluck...do not ask me how you can fund the USDT or how you can buy bitcoin directly or fund binance with it.....I believe everyone here is not a novice in the world of cryptocurrencies so you should know all that by now.....I know some greedy people also know this info but they do not want other people to make money because of their selfish reasoning....
Note...many people know about the price difference but they have a spending limit of maximum of 200$ per month...but now I just told you how you can get better dollar price and also how to have a higher spending limit of up to 3000$ from your account....from there ,think outside the box and see how you can get higher and higher limits... |

Politics › FG Says Action Against Twitter Is Temporal by ImDStar(op): 9:44pm On Jun 05, 2021 |
The Nigerian government Saturday said the banning of Twitter in the country is “temporary” and insisted it was not a “knee-jerk reaction” to President Muhammadu Buhari’s tweet being deleted.
x The ban was announced on Friday and came into effect on Saturday morning. The government defended its action by citing “persistent use of the platform for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence” for the ban.
The action attracted widespread condemnations, with the leading opposition party in the country describing it as “a vexatious, condemnable and barbaric move to muzzle Nigerians”.
But a spokesman to President Muhammadu Buhari insisted on Saturday that the action was necessary. It said Twitter and other major tech companies must be held accountable for what goes on their platforms.
“There has been a litany of problems with the social media platform in Nigeria, where misinformation and fake news spread through it have had real-world violent consequences,” Buhari’s spokesman Garba Shehu said in a statement. A
x “All the while, the company has escaped accountability. Nevertheless, the removal of President Buhari’s tweet was disappointing. The censoring seemed based on a misunderstanding of the challenges Nigeria faces today.
“The President in his address at the United Nations General Assembly, UNGA in 2019 said, “the world was shocked and startled by the massacre in New Zealand by a lone gunman taking the lives of 50 worshippers.”
“This and similar crimes which have been fueled by social media networks risk seeping into the fabric of an emerging digital culture.
“Major tech companies must be alive to their responsibilities. They cannot be allowed to continue to facilitate the spread of religious, racist, xenophobic and false messages capable of inciting whole communities against each other, leading to the loss of many lives. This could tear some countries apart.
“President Buhari has therefore been warning against social media’s disruptive and divisive influences and the government’s action is not a knee-jerk reaction to Twitter’s preposterous deletion of his tweet which should have been read in full.
“The tweet was not a threat, but a statement of fact.
“A terrorist organisation (IPOB) poses a significant threat to the safety and security of Nigerian citizens.
“When the President said that they will be treated “in a language they understand,” he merely reiterated that their force shall be met with force. It is a basic principle of security services response the world over.
“This is not the promotion of hate, but a pledge to uphold citizens’ right to freedom from harm. The government cannot be expected to capitulate to terrorists.
“IPOB is proscribed under Nigerian law. Its members murder innocent Nigerians. They kill policemen and set government property on fire. Now, they have amassed a substantial stockpile of weapons and bombs across the country.
“Twitter does not seem to appreciate the national trauma of our country’s civil war. This government shall not allow a recurrence of that tragedy.” https://m.guardian.ng/news/nigeria-says-action-against-twitter-temporary/
