I hope this is not true... I strongly doubt if this is the direction my people voted

Owontime:
Atiku has won Akwa Ibom State.
I have been telling IPOB people that Obi can never win in the Akwa Ibom State that I come from, now the obsession and the attachment must stop.

Exactly.

It's stupidity to expect anything tangible from Peter Obi who did nothing in Anambra.

Ask his supporters to list his achievement, they will keep mute. They can't list his achievement. What significant change has Peter Obi given you while he was Anambra governor? Absolute nothing.

Rather he was investing his state funds into his family business.

Some asked me to list Tinubu's legacy below.

These are Tinubu's legacies:

Tinubu legacies:
1. LASTMA.
2. Lekki trade zone.
3. LASU teaching hospital & clinical school.
4. Health care centers.
5. Eko Atlantic city.
6. Econet.
7. Lekki seaport.
8. 4 standard millennium schools.
9. Housing estates.
10. BRT.
11. Several policies which helped in high increase of Lagos revenues.
12. Some roads etc

Now list Peter Obi's legacies.

I want everyone to watch and see if these Ipob urchins would reply. They always keep mute or insult when asked to list Peter Obi's achievement. Peter Obi has got absolute nothing. All noise without substance.

It is idiotic to credit the achievement of Fashola, Ambode and Sanwo Olu to Tinibu

I strongly believe that this government knows about this attack. What do you expect when the security chiefs are from one section of the country.
They have release their foot soldiers to fast-tract their agenda. Who will take Nigeria serious with all the 'naive' politics around Abba Kyari repatriation. You can't imagine what further low that will be attain before Buhari will handover.

Meanwhile go and vote for your favourite candidate and allow others vote their preferred candidate too. That's the beauty of democracy

This PO is de-marketing himself even for future election. Instead of destroying your chances, why not fall back to PDP.

You are now a reference point for unseriousness and now Christian-Christian ticket. This will make the evil APC justify their muslim-muslim ticket.

SE will shock PDP this time around.

SE cannot shock PDP. PDP will sail to victory with SS.
While I have PO as a conscience candidate, I do know that LP do not have the capacity to garner the required vote across the entire country. Last, last SE outsmart themselves from viable political structures in Nigeria.

If SE do not support PDP, who will support SE to produce President in Nigeria. Note: A tree does not make a forest. It takes much more than economic prowess to get the Presidency.

He would score 98% in
Rivers, Lagos, Imo, Abia, Anambra, Edo, Delta, Enugu, CrossRiver, Ebonyi, nassarawa, kwara, jigawa, Bauchi.

Obi is the 16th President of Nigeria..

This percentages are not realistic. You guys should be sincere and help this man make inform decision.

Let's not make mistake of dividing votes and giving APC an advantage. This APC is evil party and should not be allowed to continue governance.

If the Obi dream is too high, let's settle for PDP. It is a better when compared to APC.

There are some that are not PO by heart. Their agenda is to distract PDP vote from his stronghold (SS & SE). Once that is achieved, they will fall back to deliver APC.

They are probably the same force that indirectly guided him to leave his ambition in the platform of PDP and dump the party 72-hrs to the primary.

For me, I'll prefer Atiku/Obi instead of Obi/Kwakwasho. However, time is running out... Let watch and see how events unfold

Good objective, but specifically, that one of two OLD, EXTREMELY CORRUPT men (one of them obviously sick) NOT become president of our country, after we just barely survived 8 terrible years of another sick, old man!

Let's observe how events unfold.

Unquestionably, PO is the best candidate. However, we need to carefully observe his acceptability across the entire country. If his team do not consolidate his acceptance and structures within this short time frame, then we rather vote PDP that dividing vote and giving APC an advantage to return BAT. That's my humble submission
Politics / 2023: What Is Our Ultimate Objective As We Prepare For The Election? by ime2010: 8:30pm On Jun 11, 2022
It is important we reflect on the past, assess the present and prepare for the future.

In my few years in life, the last 7-years of the current administration has been the worst of times to experience. Before the global inflation and other external factors that contributed to a seemingly collapse system, the current government on several platform de-marketed this country and made it difficult for serious investors to choose Nigeria as their investment destination.

I believe we will not forget in a hurry EndSARS, lazy Nigerian youth, etc. We have also experience first hand increase in prices of commodity, insecurity across the country, lost of jobs, collapse of business, increase taxes, increase debt profile and squandering of borrowed money, the list is endless...

While we hope to survive the next one year, the same APC government are presenting us with another weak old man to continue from the pains we have endured in the last 7-years. Imagine people considering Muslim-Muslim ticket in a country that security has collapse and widely suspected to be from Islamist jihads. We currently have a christian as VP, and things are this way... What will happen when only Muslims are running the economy.

At this point, I think we need to keep all sentiments aside and clearly define our objective and pursue it. APC failure has made PDP hero in governance and the best we have experience so far.

For me, Nigerian objective should be to send APC out of Aso Rock. Their incompetent is legendary from an incumbent government and should be rejected by all Nigerians.

Your views are welcome.

Stop this nonsense!

Did you guys not learn from GEJ. He focused development in the North with expectation that they will vote him in return. That never happened.

What makes you feel that most Northerner will leave Atiku to support PO. I expect us to be smarter than this.

franchasofficia:
Hello The Obidient people of Nigeria. I greet you all.

This is a wonderful time to be alive in Nigeria. A time Nigeria is having 3 strong contenders from the 3 major tribes of Nigeria ready to slug it out at the polls.

Even though the political odds are against Peter Obi winning because being a credible person alone cannot win you election in Nigeria if you are not in the right political party with enough fund, political structure, human capacity and popularity.

Tinubu the APC candidate have several advantages over others; his party is the ruling party that controls all the nation's security and even INEC.

Atiku is in PDP, a former ruling party, a former Vice President whose name is known at every corner of Nigeria. PDP as a former ruling party have the money, the political structures, human capacity, popularity and incumbent Governors to help it reach the remotest areas in Nigeria.

Does Peter Obi have any of the above? The answer is NO!

Remember, getting your PVC is a great step to ensuring your support for Obi is backed with action, but if truly we want Peter Obi to win on a clean shit without dinning with the evil powers that be who may hijack his government should he clinch the seat, we all must come out to strategize on how to fund Labour Party to reach the nook and cranies of Northern Nigeria especially without letting Peter Obi soil his hands trying to fund the project alone because whatever amount a politician spends trying to win the election, he must recoup multiple folds, it is normal and reason we must help our choice of candidate not to spend too much money funding his or her election campaigns so that they won't incur too much debt that will push them into looting public fund when elected. .

No single human can be richer than the People! The Peoples money remains the biggest money.

We need to show Nigerians in the remotest communities some good deeds to convince them that Peter Obi is the right man to lead Nigeria in 2023, and how do we achieve this?

We need to start a crowdfunding campaign for Labour Party candidate.

We can set a target of $10million for the start. Igbos can take the lead as example to encourage others. Traders union and market unions can be drafted in for this.

What will the money be used for?

Sinking new Boreholes in remote communities in the North. Donating to Mosques via Imams to renovate Islamic schools and to cater for Almajiris.

Organizing skill acquisition in the North for our Northern youths to learn some sellable skills and also help them buy tools and small equipment needed to start their new trade.

Starting a small loan scheme for market women in the North that will be named after Peter Obi, which will also be translated in Hausa language for Northern locals to understand easily.

Sponsoring youth concerts for Northern youths and invite popular Northern music artists to perform.

Starting a weekly entrepreneurship and business education program on BBC Hausa Radio. This can be replicated in other Radio stations in Southwest, Southsouth, Southeast and Northcentral.

Setting up small community health centers in remote communities in the North.

I think PO priority was not clearly define. In politics, you keep your eye on the bigger picture not just for yourself, but your region and the nation at large.

All Igbos should have a common front through a national party for national politics. LP will not offer SE national spread to win an election.

SE is relevant. All you need is effective collaboration with other zone and show some form of stability.

While I condemn the fact that the south did not micro-zone the ticket the SE because of their collective greed. I was not please by the actions of most SE Presidential aspirant in the mainstream Political parties.

Dave Umahi (APC) and Peter Obi (PDP) were people I was looking forward to at the beginning of the contest. Others should have stepped down and project one SE person per political party. Unfortunately, the stories that came out few days to the primary for each of this candidate was very disappointing and left one with the question, is the SE really serious to be involved on national politics?

Common sense is not common!

SE should listen to the voice of reasoning. PO made a political mistake for leaving PDP that would have offered SE access into Aso Rock.

If PO can retrace his step back to PDP, he'll offer lot of hope for SE into Federal politics. He is a movement that cannot be ignore. However, this movement cannot win election and I sincerely need him in the next administration to fix Nigeria. I believe PDP can offer PO/SE that platform.

Collaboration between Atiku/Obi/Kwankwasho should be encourage.

As a country, the last 7-years has been the worst. Buhari spend most of his days in UK for medical reasons and we got use to being addressed by 'presidency'. Same APC are now presenting ancestor Tinibu that cannot raise APC flag presented to him. We cannot afford another administration of Medical tourism and being address by 'Presidency'.

I strongly believe that Atiku/Obi have the capacity to turn the fortune of this country around

With all sincerity, my conscience is PO. But we need to deal with reality.

Did we learn any lesson from the APC convention? In terms of Presidential charisma, PYO would have been the best candidate. But, Nigerian are not matured to select the best. They respond to politicians that come with 'too much money'.

At PO best, he will only divert some vote. But I cannot see him winning.

I would have advocated for the SE to get back to PDP and plot their political future through that platform. PDP remains a national party through which SE can realize their political aspirations.

You might not be the President today, but you can become that in the nearest future

Politics / Re: Why Peter Obi Will Be Atiku's Running Mate, PDP Spokesperson by ime2010: 12:01pm On Jun 09, 2022
This might be a though opinion, nonetheless I'll share it.

Peter Obi should used the current factional problem in Labour Party as an excuse to retrace his steps back to the PDP. I believe there are smart south easterners that can manage that process.

He should recognize that he made a political mistake and explore options to fix it. Unless he/SE are not interested in winning, I don't see that dream happening through Labour Party.

He remains the most viable option to get the SE into Aso Rock. It might be a difficult assignment, but if they can get soft landing from other PDP zone and the VP slot given to him, then the SE will appear more serious in national politics.

Religion / Re: Don’t Persecute Daddy Freeze: Tithing Today Is A Scam - Femi Aribisala by ime2010: 2:30am On Dec 13, 2017
I strongly disagree with you on this tithe movement. I have carefully review the videos and interview and I think you are misleading people. Firstly, there were 2 Order of Priesthood - Aaronic Priesthood and Melchisedec Priesthood [Heb 7: 1-28]. The present church is NOT following Aaronic, but Melchisedec Priesthood. For tithing, there MUST be a Priest to receive the tithe. For the present day church, the biblical tribe does NOT count... whether Levite (Aaron) or Juda (Jesus), because there is NO record of Melchisedec tribe, but he received tithe as a Priest. If Abraham paid tithe to Melchisedec, his natural and spiritual seed should continue to pay tithe to this priesthood since it now replace the Aaronic priesthood (v 9-21). Is the first priest of the Melchisedec order the only on to receive tithe? Should God require tithing under this priesthood at the first and then discontinue it when Christ became a priest under this order? Does grace lessen the obligation of man OR increases it? Has this priesthood come to a self-supporting place, where it needs nothing from those under it benefits? Was it right that Abraham paid tithe to this priesthood and for melchisedec to receive them for his support? If it was right then, could it be wrong now to continue this same programe? Should a mere typical priesthood be supported and not the eternal priesthood itself? Awaiting you kind response

Politics / Re: Akpabio Owns $45Million "Private" Jet - SaharaReporters by ime2010: 11:43pm On Nov 02, 2012
Personally, I do not see anything wrong with Akwa Ibom State government acquiring a Private jet. When you carefully understudy the achievement of this government in less than 6 years, and the plan for the nearest future, then you will see a need for the jet.

Considering the past, aside that an airport was built by this administration, they also trained most Akwa Ibomite to be competent to manage the facility (including maintenance of aircraft). Hence I believe there is a solid structure for the management of the private jet.

For the future, the task of this administration is to industrialize the state. Can you imagine the cost of flying his cabinet members around the world to host meeting with investors that will have interest in establishing industries in the state? Often, such meetings are not once; you will need to meet severally with the interested investor until the deal is successful.

Secondly, the way the administration packages itself can be of greater advantage to them in a longer term, and that will reflect in the character of the investors that will be pull to the state.

This are my opinion, you can object it.... However, the result will be of greater benefit to the citizenry in the state when the vision of the industrialization is actualize.
Family / Trend In Marriage Events by ime2010: 6:31pm On Apr 28, 2012
I have followed several article on this forum, and I must comment that most post are enlightening.

There is a trend I have observed recently in Marriage, and I believe that sampling varying views from people in this forum will help in understanding, and possibly criticize where there is a need.

Some years back, people lend money for wedding/Traditional Marriage (TM). This trend has drastically reduced, as people are advice to plan the events base on the fund at their disposal. Hence, people now budget effectively before the opt to go public for the event.

Few years back, and even in recent times, people plan the marriage events (TM / Wedding) within one week period. Possible to finish-up everything about the event and continue with their life. I have also witness people doing TM and wedding on the same day (Imagine the stress, yet its economical for those that choose this option)

Few weeks ago, I witness a wedding on a Wednesday evening (about 8:00PM). Some are of the opinion that it is only the blessing from the Pastor that really counts. Obviously, this particular wedding was very economical.

For me, this trend is disturbing. I will appreciate your varying views on this subject.

Its good that there are still some Nigerians that can reason well,

Obj had some shortcoming, but he did better than lots of others to the best of my knowledge, He was goal oriented (though he made some money for himself while working to achieve the goals), He may have committed lots of atrocity, but as a President, you can apply certain principle to get your goals (some may get hurt in the process), Its not possible for everyone to like Obj (even when you are not a figurehead, everyone in your environment can't like you), but it does not change the fact that his reforms/ policies impacted much in our economy,

For all critics, check economic indicators during Obj regime, and compare it to others, You can post your finding,

To the best of my knowledge, with the level of education he had, he remains the best.
