If you think a seller gives outrageous prices, patronise another seller or join the business and sell at cheaper rates.

I heard that even fruits are expensive there. So, why won't things imported all the way from Africa be expensive?

Do you know that any Japanese that enters Nigeria and finds out that 2007 model of Toyota Corolla goes for more than 3 million naira will complain that the price is outrageous? He will do so because the car is very cheap and becoming outdated in Japan. But that Japanese does not know the cost of bringing that almost-outdated model of car to Nigeria. It is easy for an African person to complain of the price of pounded yam in a Western country because that African is probably judging by the cost of the same pounded yam in Africa without knowing the cost of providing the same pounded yam in a Western country. So, join the business, pay rent and all the taxes in that country, export yam from Africa and tell us your own price.

You are the one to answer the question since you claim that the church is the first place where generosity should take place.

I never said that generosity should not be demonstrated in the house of God. Meanwhile, the first place to show generosity is at home. Who you are at home determines your personality in the house of God.

So the first thing is supporting God's work then other things can follow but when someone deliberately ignore God's work in the church does such one still believe in Christ who specifically said his first family are members of the church?

Don't be a liar. I never said I will refuse to support God's work. I have always supported God's work and will continue to do that. If you are not a liar, point out anywhere I said I will refuse to support God's work. I will donate on the altar when the person calling for the donation acts like a man of God, not when the person tries to sell blessing by wanting to pray for only those who donate money on the altar. Also God's work is not done only inside the church building. If the person calling for donation wants to pray for only those that donate on the altar, I will not give my money to that person because that one is not supporting God's work. Quote me anywhere.

If your religion doesn't make things clear regarding contributions in God's house it simply means you aren't practicing true Christianity because in the truth such can't happen anymore!

Show that you practice true Christianity by explaining two things:

the difference philanthropy and pure worship,

2.
how a Church building is the only place where the pure worship can take place.

Are you sure that you are worshiping in the midst of true worshipers of God?

Because whatever makes you feel unconcerned when ministers are talking about what you need to pay or give to earn friendship with God means you no longer have the love of the God in question:

A poor widow in the midst of God's holy worshipers gave everything she had {Luke 21:1-2} just because she love God with all her heart even though religious leaders in Israel back then were corrupt {Matthew 23:23} yet Jesus said about this woman:

“Truly I say to you that this poor widow put in more than they all did. For all of these put in gifts out of their surplus, but she, out of her want, put in all the means of living she had.” Luke 21:3-4

According to Jesus (God's only begotten Son) she has given much more than all those in the temple!

So Jesus concluded:

“The scribes and the Pharisees have seated themselves in the seat of Moses. Therefore, all the things they tell you, do and observe, but do not do according to their deeds, for they say but they do not practice what they say." Matthew 23:2-3

Why do you think Jesus told his listeners to do whatever their religious leaders say?

Well it's because at that point in time the place where the Jews worships is the only place where you can worship the true God therefore whoever feels unconcerned towards whatever is asked as needs regarding that temple is not a true worshiper of the God of Israel.

That's why it's compulsory you know for sure you are in the midst of God's true worshipers {Psalms 133:1 compare to Hebrews 10:24-34} or you just sit with people claiming they are worshipers! Psalms 1:1

Either you did not read the post or you read it but failed to understand it. I love God and support God's work. But once it turns to a minister making prayer of blessings for only those that donate money, I will not donate my money to or through such a minister.

No human being that truly understands what it means to worship God will pray for only those that donate money on a church altar. Who told you that donating for God's work must only happen in the church? What about those who support God's work outside the church but no longer have enough to come and donate again on the altar? Also, what about making the same prayer for those who did not donate so that they will make money and donate next time? As a matter of fact, those who have donated did not even make the money through such prayers.

Story for the gods.

Which Africa? Were all the networking tools used in building the internet made in Africa by Africans? The African Union that is watching Burkina Faso, Libya and other African countries? Talking about privacy and cost, are goods made in Africa cheap for Africans in Africa?
