I don't know too. But internationally, we are still regarded as EAL (English as additional language) students, even though our national language is English. It is best to just submit the language proficiency test report given the circumstances.

Some programmes even allocate marks for the English test while some might waive it upon providing a letter from your alma mata that you were taught in English.

I suggest you mail them and find out possible alternatives for the English test.
Thank you.
Unfortunately there are no alternatives. My first choice program specifically says NO to alma mater letters. Writing the test this late is just a price I'm paying for poor planning.

Yes. The application process (and portal) is all that is required to gain admission/scholarship into the EMJMD programme.

Thank you.

I really wonder why they require an English proficiency test from us Nigerians. It's what's going to delay my application.

I have a CGPA of 4.03. i didnt write TOEFL so i used my university english proficiency certificate. What are my chances?

Who knows their selection strategy please.

1. Eligibility verification from Feb 2nd to Feb 23rd
2. Application Assessment in view to get a seat for an interview from Feb 24th to Mar 12th
3. Interviews (only for the shortlisted applicants) from March 18th to March 21st

...That's from the page of one of the programs. A quick one- how many applications did you make and submit?

You are not applying to each school. Each EMJMD programme and its consortium of institutions have just one application process to gain the scholarship. I believe your application will be evaluated by all or some of the schools. Visit the programme website and familiarize yourself with the application requirements and the consortium as well.

I am happy Erasmus has gained traction in Nigeria. I believe past Winners have already started mentoring others. Read through this thread too, the experiences of others will help you. We can be like the Pakistanis that never fail to maximize their chances with EMJMDs.

Thank you.
So, applying via the EMJMD portal obviates the submission of applications to all three schools?

Thank you for the response. Have you tried Dropbox? If this problem still persist then we’ll have to send you a PM or wait for other suggestions.
I didn't say I was having a problem uploading it on a drive and sharing, I only said sharing privately would be easier for me.

Anyway, I just created the link...

Why don’t you put it up here publicly so everyone can benefit?
Lovely suggestion! I'm all for public sharing, but then, the Grail is 21MB, and I'd checked- the maximum upload size for a non-JPEG is just 250KB. It's easier for me to share privately than create a drive link for a single file. I share with you, you can then devise a means to share with others on here.

You can check the many links that have been shared on here, it should be on one or two of them. Let me know if you don't find it, I might have to share with you privately.

Good day House. Please when sending High School Transcripts to WES, can I attach a photocopy of my original WAEC result and also, I don't think the school can send it. Can I collect it when is ready then send it to WES?
"Final Secondary Examination Results (e.g. West African Senior School Certificate) must be submitted directly to WES by the appropriate examining body for evaluation along with all higher education documents. No evaluation will be completed without the final secondary examination results (from WAEC)

(Now,) If the examining body gives you the document to send to WES, it must be in a sealed envelope that is signed or stamped across the back flap by the appropriate examining body. If the envelope is opened or there is no stamp or signature across the back flap, WES cannot accept the document."

The odds of getting struck by lightning in any given year are about 1 in 300,000. And although roughly 90% of those struck survive, the electrical discharge scars some of them with a tattoo-like mark, known as the Lichtenberg figure.

A lightning bolt can heat the surrounding air to 50,000 degrees Fahrenheit (27,760 degrees Celsius)This is five times hotter than the sun

new here
currently serving my country.graduated from university of Ibadan with a degree in chemistry and would love to have my master abroad(USA).any advice please and how do I get started.
Hi.
Welcome. This is the visa thread, there are a few things you need to do/know before you get here. Also, there are questions you need to ask and answer for yourself: What do you intend studying? Do you have preferences as regards schools; are there schools you've heard about or have been eyeing? US education is quite expensive, so do you have the means? If you don't, or you feel you might be needing scholarships, it's perfectly cool, but there are tests you'll have to write. And sorry o, a personal question from me, why the US?

Answer these questions, and the house will help you progress.

Cheers.

With a good GPA and GRE, well written SOP and LOR, you will land a funded program in Biology/Biological Science and you can specialize in Cell and Molecular Biology.

Interesting. Would you be kind to mention a few schools that are known to fully fund these programs for international students? I'd do well to check them out. Thing is, I've been considering a lot of options lately and searching these schools has been a task on its own.

Thank you.

Why not MSc in Cell Biology?
Is there a reason you asked? Are CB programs well funded? It's a field I could consider.

Thank you.

Happy Sunday, good people.

Good day guys, been a long time follower of the thread. Please I need a clarification on something.
How much must you have to consider going to the US for grad studies. For instance, in a case where you don't have a sponsor with an account balance of several millions. Cos I've read from various visa transcripts that it is a vital factor in getting ur visa. It even affects admission too.
Also, does getting a scholarship cover up for this handicap.
I look forward to your answers.
Hi.
You know, I used to ask this same question, too, and you know what? It made me procrastinate, it made me believe abroad studies wasn't meant for someone like me. So if you keep asking and wanting to know just how much, you might never get involved or know. I followed closely this thread and the other VISA thread last year, and I never dared to take any steps. But right now, I am on a mission.

Though a rookie, my advice is this: take a step, start the process. Of course you'll need to spend lots of money even when you don't see any lying around, but I tell you, miracles do happen, and there are ones that happen in the form of everyday people, and I know I read some inspiring stories on here. So just take those steps, one after another, and you will be surprised how far you will go. Sheybi there are no sponsors with several millions now, in your walk you'll get to a stage where sponsors will have no choice but to show up; those people you think don't have millions will, all of a sudden, have mini-millions, and several mini-millions sum up to millions wink

Hehe... For someone like me, it's funding or nothing at all ...lol. Even as an MS student, ayam looking to get the fullest of scholarships. With God and fierce determination, I know it's possible.

Whew! Too much talk w/o answering any of your questions, right? Well, lemme try to answer the simplest one that I can... There are scholarships and there are scholarships, but no, they don't cover the handicap as you would still have to provide a statement of account (of your sponsor) regardless of the kind of scholarship you've gotten. This usually proves that you can sustain yourself over there and won't just go over and become a literate nuisance and liability to their government, cos truly, na mama sabi d number of pikin weyn she born.

It's my first post on the thread, I just wanted to register my presence. I salute and give props to the elders and gurus, I greet my fellow tyros and prospective Trumplanders, and I say hello to the followers and guests of the thread, one of which I had been for quite some time. Here to learn, follow, apply, succeed, testify and give back.
