I applied but I did not pay the application fees because they ask me to legalization documents, I have applied to other schools that accepts authentication
That's the one thing about the application process that stresses me out- legalisation!

Please is there anyone going for legalization at the embassy next week that can help me do mine? I’d pay you too please. I’m running out of time with my applications, the school I’m applying to needs my documents legalized first before I can even apply

Actually, DHET has mandatory all SA public schools to require SAQA before applicants are guving admission but UP sometimes allows that to pass. I know of many that didn't have SAQA and they are currently on their PhD, Master or honour now.
Thank you.
Please, do you if there were any underlying factors that made it possible for these people? Did they all have stellar academic profiles or something like that?

There is no specific period. Once you have paid the application fees and submit the application online, they will contact your school in Nigeria. The response of your school will determine how long the verification will take. In a situation where your school failed or refused to respond, the process will be delayed, but if the school reply then 2 to 4 weeks processing time
Thank you so much!

No, you must have your SAQA certificate for you to be considered!

Thank you so much. Please, did you get to do the SAQA verification? Do you know how long the verification really takes for a Nigerian with a Nigerian qualification? I've read all varying answers online.

You must have a SAQA certificate before you can offer a place. You cannot have an admission letter without a saqa certificate at UP. Only Stellenbosch and Cape Town Universities accept applications without SAQA verification.
Thank you! I already submitted an online application for SAQA, I just haven't paid and sent my application pack via e-mail. Please, do you know how long the verification really takes? I've read all varying answers online.

Hello guys.
I'm currently working on a Masters application to the University of Pretoria. I'd like to know if UP offers admission w/o the SAQA certificate. I mean, do/can they allow for submission of the certificate after an applicant has been offered a place?

I look forward to your responses. Thanks.

PS. I have already e-mailed them, but I haven't heard back from them.

Nairaland / General / Education Loans For Masters Studies In Sweden. Anyone Know Any Firm? by Imnaknus: 1:05am On Apr 25, 2020
Good morning, Nairalanders.

Please does anyone know of firms that lend money to Nigerian students to fund their studies abroad (Sweden, particularly)? Before you ask me if I have had a second thought on my decision, I should say that I have, and I feel it's the best option available to me right now. I have been applying for scholarships since 2017 and have never won any! Name it, Erasmus, Turkiye, CSC... and whatnot. I get admitted quite alright, but the scholarship doesn't just follow, and I am tired! The SISGP was the last straw. I had the highest hopes for that one, but the list of recipients was released yesterday and I didn't make it.

However, I still hold the admission offer from my dream school for my dream course, and I don't want to lose it this time like previous times. Please help me, I feel like I'm wasting away. I need to be back into academia. Please, I'd very much appreciate any useful information about money-lending firms.

PS. I have checked online and I found that most of them target US, UK or Canada schools and/or US citizens. I need info on one which works well for Nigerians and has Sweden as one of its targets.

Admins, please help move this to FP. I beg you. Please
