Guys please help me before I fall into depression. My visa application was rejected within one week of interview. The DHL Man delivered my original documents today. In the letter of rejection which is in German, this is what I was able to translate;

"Due to your information provided on application, there are doubts in your case about the stated purpose of travel. In doing so, you were unable to plausibly demonstrate Thre's intentions to study. The discretion could not be exercised in your favor. The application must therefore be rejected. The remaining grant requirements were not final"

@ShinaLee The message you got from the alien office is almost the same as mine. I got a message from the embassy this morning that I do not need to resend but it was too late because I went to the courier earlier. I guess the workload in the big cities is much, did you use SL or BA?

Try and get an enrollment extension from your school, when your AM comes, you'd be asked for it along side your passport and insurance

If you're going to a big city where they have lots of applications, it may take them time to process them all. Also September/October is the peak of winter period with thousands of foreign students resuming schools so the workload is much. Just calm down, If you're below the 6 week mark (i.e it's not up to 6 weeks after your interview) then don't worry. Find ways to keep busy and distract yourself instead of refreshing your mail every minute.
Here's a general advice to those awaiting AM on how not to go crazy while waiting:
- If you haven't, start doing research on your school and the city it's located. Connect with students in the school, you can find them here on Nairaland or on Facebook. Ask them questions and let them tell you about life in school, the city, student jobs, activities etc.
- Start searching for accommodation, Housing in Germany is a big issue, and if you're heading to a city like Munich it's way more difficult. if you don't get accommodation, then you need to plan where you'll stay till you get accommodation ( Tip: avoid hotels and use youth hostels, They're far cheaper).
- Start reviewing your course modules, education in Germany is not easy. Download your course modules on the school's website and start looking at the courses you'll take, get textbooks and materials and start reading. if possible, you can connect with a student doing the course and plead with them to send you materials. Start reading oooo.
- There's a shopping list on the Nigeria Students in Germany thread, you can use it to start packing and preparing your things.

May all those awaiting AMs receive their testimony in Jesus' name.

If it's your passport and travel insurance you want to submit, then print your AM along . If it's BA confirmation or SL, then just send it via courier.

I got this message from the Alien Office

Dear Bleep,

 

Your request from the embassy was received by us on 05.09.2019. The application documents will be processed after receipt of the application. You will receive a message from the diplomatic mission once the process is completed.

I funded my account on the 4th, I guess they didn't process my application further until they got the blocking confirmation. I am not sure though

I have said these before. That it seems the Allen office in Berlin is too occupied and this tends to make application slow....

If you had your interview between 19th-31st of August and you're heading to Berlin and awaiting AM. Let us lift up our voices in prayers. This waiting is draining.My own lectures starts on the 14th......Lectures starts before enrollment deadline and one needs to be there before the 14th,settle down and do some things.....#Itiswell

It's usually both. But when e don enter injury time like this, they tend to consider your enrollment deadline.

I'm saying this because the V.O that interviewed me insisted that I ask my school extend my enrollment deadline and issue me a letter to that effect.

In other words, they are not just working with my start date, but also on the possibility of my being able to enrol and commence studies in D.E

The miracle is that am yet to fund my block account and was interviewed by the lady on dread yet God came through for me.

God will do the miraculous for everyone of us waiting patiently for AL, AD, AM, BA in Jesus name.

I called my Hamburg Alien office this morning and the woman was speaking German. After like 30 minute, I tried to call back to ask for an English speaker but the phone has been switched off. I guess the workload in the alien office is much and a lot of people are calling. I guess at the point, I need to have patience since I have enrolled. Have you enrolled?

Had my interview on the 27th of August, I funded before but yet to receive my AM as well. I signed just 1 document. Since you've sent you Blocking confirmation, worry not, different states operate at different pace. We'll receive our AMs soon.
