Dis Guy:
lol cant blame her, are you even sure she said four white men? she said four oyinbo on NTA!! cheesy

only God knows what happened to her from her NAFDAC days
as in, bros, thats wot i thot oh! how archaic and backward coming from an "educated" minister! A prof. abi na so dem talk. who even knows for them? grin
nethacker:
this woman lost her reputation the moment she accepted the offer of being the information and communication minister shocked wetin concern pharmacist with journalism. She would hv been better off as a consultant than this sucking post she assumes .9ja haaa square peg in a round hole grin
honestly! Thats our problem in Nigeria
PoliticsRe: Akunyili Defends Self In 8.2 Billion Naira NTA Contract by impish: 1:18pm On Aug 12, 2009
N8.2b!!!huh These ppl can only deceive themselves. We nigerians have soji-d. We r not stupid. As the info minister, didnt she know when the FIFA VP was goin to come for the assessment? Didnt she know that the sudden decision to "uprgrade" her pocket NTA wud not meet the timeline of the assessment? Its funny wen these silly ppl loot from the nations coffers and then give sum lame explanation. Im not sure really if they are just empty-headed and so cannot come up with a better cover-up for their theft or if they think we r stupid enuf to believe the nonsense!
PoliticsRe: Hilary Clinton Gets Cold Reception From The Federal Government. by impish: 1:04pm On Aug 12, 2009
A question for those in support of this nonsense. So they shunned her and dint sent any1 to get her from the airport. What message were they trying to send? That she is not important and not welcomed in Naij? Ok, to justify this, then the President must refuse to meet with her too. He must not hold any discussions with her during this trip oh! I dont like half-assed attempts. 100% or nothin. If he does meet with her, he will need to come up with a credible excuse for why the blunder happened and that wud just further diminish her opinion of Naija as a whole. One must think their actions thru b4 commitin to them. actions = consequences!

There is no sensible reason why this occurred. Dont our leaders hav sensible and educated ppl advicing them?
PoliticsRe: Hilary Clinton Gets Cold Reception From The Federal Government. by impish: 12:51pm On Aug 12, 2009
vigasimple:
Also consider this, you cannot just fly into anyone airspace, let alone land at their Airport without clearance.NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT ARE BEHAVING LIKE A SCHOOL BULLY who have been told the truth about its behaviour, and don't like it, and grummble but can only behave in such manner. They are very daft since the 'leader' YAR A'CLUELESS is the head of  A DO NOTHING , CARE FOR NO CITIZEN GOVERNMENT.
Exactly wot i was goin to say!!!

beeswax:
the comedy of errors continues,
True talk! the worst part is when we start giving excuses for our failures and ineptness. I dunno which is more embarassing?
PoliticsRe: Akunyili Defends Self In 8.2 Billion Naira NTA Contract by impish: 12:42pm On Aug 12, 2009

Keep telling yourself what you want to hear. If u can read, u will c that there are many nl'ers that passed the mobil test in ALL disciplines. Go on to njhotjbs, ul c similar threads with ppl givin their testimonies. Im not sayin all is fair, i dunno any1 who passed the test n i no sum very smart ppl that wrote it too! but that doesnt mean that i shud insult the coy any chance i get. if u hate them so much, y bother to do their test. be real fellas! all na hustle. just dey hustle with humility. ur time is coming!
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Mobil Interview/accountant Trainee by impish: 7:16pm On Aug 11, 2009
Must sum1 on here pass the test? Nawa for una oh! Since when did NL become a yardstick for the credibility of an assessment? ehn? I understand your frustration but ppl passed the test. Sum just dont want to come forward and say so. On naijahotjobs there is a similar topic with ppl who were invited for the srd intvws. Dont let this one thing get u down. There's better ahead for u!!!

PoliticsRe: Ribadu Was Obj’s Political Weapon - Waziri by impish: 7:22am On Aug 01, 2009
Afam and debosky, una go scl well well. @creativity and omo ibo, wot r u lot thinking? do u guys think at allhuh?

Its sad cos even if we ever thought ill of Ribadu, now with Madam Waziri at the helm, we have been forced to reconsider. Mehn! half bread IS better than nothin oh! Just the same way OBJ now looks like a saint wen compared with Yar a slow. Its a pity, but yes, we Nigerians, in the absence of good governance and in the face of corruption, we have been forced to SETTLE. whilst this is not IDEAL, its the best we can do for now. And please, by all definitions of the word, 3/5 is NOT failure. Its a 60% success rate. If at all it may be deemed failure (by the perfectionists in the hse, who no doubt, finished top of their class in scl n hav excelled in evry), it is not TOTAL failure, its a 40% failure rate, which again is probably us settling, but we will take that over 0/5 any day anytime. I know that we females love talking more than doing, but this woman, she redefines USELESSNESS and INEFFECTIVENESS. CHAI!!!!!

I propose a solution till we can find a president (and a system sef) who is without corruption. For the sake of this discussion,
1. A "Ribadu" is one appointed by the President as a "Political Weapon".
2. An "Alam" is a GUILTY victim of this Political weaponry.

MY PROPOSAL
Let each president appoint a ribadu to go after all the Alams in Nigeria save for the "friends and allies" of said president. Then, let him and his ribadu leave office in a maximum of two years. Shebi, its everyday for the thief, one day for the owner. In this case, two terms for the thieves, the next two terms for the owner (and maybe a few more thieves. gettin complex? lol). Let the next president now elect his own ribadu. whose first task should be to go after the alams who were not arrested under the previous regime. If at the rate of $5b in 2yrs we do this, abeg, tell me we wont be a bit better off.

Any thots as to how this proposal can work better? Who can I submit it to? cool huh grin cool cool cool grin grin grin

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Mobil Interview/accountant Trainee by impish: 1:39pm On Jul 17, 2009
guys, pls keep workin hard and dont b lazy. Ur almost there. The skills tests usually test ur basic understanding of ur discipline. So for accountin, it will be stuff u learnt in ur undergrad which u most likely wudve forgotten by now like bookkeeping (i dunno, just guessing). My skills test was rubbish as it was for most ppl but my numeracy and logic were excellent. I guess thats y I was chosen. I dont think its fair to get "expo" from sum1 else at that person's and others' certain detriment.
PoliticsRe: Delta Students Condemn Fg’s Planned N15bn Pti For Kaduna by impish: 2:25pm On Jul 15, 2009
I must say I agree with nuzo. Y the north? how much more money will the FG spend on the north? as breathless rightly asked, have they found oil there? Setting up a PTI in the south (or upgrading an existing one) wud go really far and help cool the tension in that region, but no, our mallam president had to help his fellow catlle rearers. wetin koncain cow with oil? how much more money will he waste b4 he realises that A COW IS ALWAYS A COW! It is just simple common sense. If, as palmwine said, they are not capable of thinking, why not employ sum1 to do the thinking for them? I agree that we cant all be bright thinkers, but isnt that y they have advisers etc? May God help Nigeria!
Car TalkRe: Shoe Or Foot Driving Which One Is The Best ? by impish: 9:30am On Jul 11, 2009
ive been driving with my shoes on since i started driving, some 6/7 years ago.

however, one time, i was driving with heels on in an automatic, and the heel got stuck in the footmat (its the type with lots of holes in it) and i cudnt take my right foot off to press the brakes!! it was a horror few seconds for me. i guess i eventually turned my foot n pressed the brakes, stopped the car n wrestled my foot out of the mat!

but i still continue to drive with my shoes on. its a matter of preference. but i just think its a bit tacky to get to church or a wedding and start battling with ur shoes etc, just MHO

ahan, ok, so what did they say? that you passed and your intvw with the gm is, ? when?
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Mobil Interview by impish: 12:56pm On Jul 02, 2009
yeah, trainee engr. which did u apply for? have u had ur intvw? if yes, have they gotten back to you?
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Mobil Interview by impish: 12:24pm On Jul 02, 2009
my sister called temitope edu. she said that they had called all the people they wanted for the interview. I find that hard to believe because I dont know any of my millions of friends in Naija that took the test that was called for intvw but na so we see am. As for those of us who did the test abroad (in Houston), she told me that they wud get back to us before the end of July. I am guessing this applies to all.

hope this answers all questions.

HealthRe: Jogging Sit Ups Push Ups. . .whats Your Daily Exercise Routine by impish: 8:46pm On Jun 10, 2009
when you say 3
trimandtrendy:
For exercising, its usually better you get a trainer oh. They are cheap, between 2500 to 3000 per month. The money you have paid is even part of the motivation. If you live near stadium you can join thier gym there.

how about we all motivate ourselves, lets create a thread for your daily exercise, as in what ever exercise you do each day, you record there. That way if you are missing out, other people would encourage you. And it would also keep you motivated cos you would want to post yours.

What do you guys think?
when you say 2500, do you mean in naira? that cheap? what gym? plan on movin back and im looking for a good gym, where i wont meet thugs or touts! lol

i usually go to classes here at the gym, LBT and body pump especially. they are fun and i prefer the classes to actually working out at the gym. when i work out, i do 30-1hr 30 mins on the elliptical bike (upright bike) depending on whos cycling beside me (im very competitive, so i like to b the last one standing! i.e if the guy beside me does 1hr on level 15, i make sure i do that or more) lol or how much free time I hav that day. I try to go to the gym 5days a week, but this doesnt always happen. 5 classes a week is ideal for me.

i recently discovered pilates which i find very calming and relaxing. plus i luv a good stretch every now and then.

oh yeah, as regards posting our daily work outs on here, cool sturvs. though il be silent for a while. Im currently away from my house and hence my gym. but wen i get back, its on!!! lol, dont mind me oh!
