Birth announcement!!!
I gave birth 5th may at 11:30pm, weighing 3.1 edd 31st may. Immediately my placenta came out, I started bleeding uncontrollably, the doctors did all they could do to stop the bleeding to no avail, everyone running helter scatter, Anastasia did not work, I was being stitched like that, at about 1am I was rushed to ubth, the struggle continued there, i lost so much blood, I have been given 4 pints of blood so far. My baby is in the hospital I gave birth, while I am in ubth. In all I thank God because the devil has been put to shame already. Long birth story will come as soon as I reunite with my princess.

I'm feeling slight pains at my lower abdomen. I can't tell if it feels like period pain or just pains. But it comes and goes... Is this because I've been eager to put to bed or.. it's really happening..

Maybe it's all in my head..

Sorry sis. God that has started it with you will give you the strength needed.
For the induction I think it has to do with the hospital because I later heard some hospitals combines tablet with drip & it helps to hasten the contraction but in my case the Dr didn't so let's Sabi mamas come & give you their opinions. I'm still learning

Good day Mamas, My wife clocks 30weeks alrdy. But the doctor said her stomach is too small and requested for an ultrasound for our next visit. Should i be worried?
As at week 29 the baby weight 1.4 kg .
So I'm concerned o. hope no problem.

Congratulations mama, truly, I am super happy for you.

I am 39+ weeks and I have a history of big babies. My first was 4.0 virginal birth with plenty tear.
This one, my last scan as at yesterday shows my baby is already 4.1kg. My gynea has slated me for induction tomorrow Friday.
I am so afraid cos even the swap he did on me yesterday, I screamed down the whole hospital.
I have taken pineapple, lipton, trekked for where my oga is still there just shaking body small small.

Truth be told I am tireddd. This induction news is not helping my tiredness at all.

I am even considering to request for CS instead of induction. Sabi mamas that have experienced both please help a sister in distress

It is well with you Mami. Your baby can decide to come early and surprise mummy you know. Mother and baby alive is your portion. You can start taking dates and pineapple, trek like 10 minutes everyday to hasten labour. There shall be no loss, we awaits your good news.

My beautiful May mamas, Pls pardon my inactiveness for the past 2 weeks. Bobo Jason done show me shege with compulsory night vigils but my prayers are with you all for a stress-free, easy and complication free delivery. There shall be no loss in our midst in Jesus name.

I know most of us are tired and can't wait to bring forth our bundle of joy. We shall celebrate with you all. Mother and child(ren) alive is our prayer and so shall it be.

If you notice anything not there before please go and see your doctor so as to be on a safer side. It is well with us all.

Please quick question. Is swelling towards the end of pregnancy normal? My feet have been swollen for sometime now but I woke up this morning and the whole of my face and eyes are swollen, looked at the mirror this morning and was scared. Is this normal? Or should I visit the hospital ?

Good evening a a 25 weeks pregnant woman this morning after eating and taking her pregnant care drugs , fainted this morning, immediately she was sprinkled water and she was alright, so she was given energy booster and she was alright, pls what are the causes of dizziness and fainting, what's the solution

All Glory, Honour and Adoration be to God Almighty for his endless grace over us all. We praise him for his mercies and truly, we can say the Lord is good and His mercies endureth forever.
It looks like yesterday when we confirm our BFP and the grace of God has brought us this far. Some Mamas already ported to April and we thank God for easy delivery. I welcome us all to May, there shall be no loss in Jesus name.

Immediately I was admitted and moved to the maternity ward. I begged them to allow me go home and carry my hospital bags, the nurses refused and told me I might deliver on the road and it was high risk cos I was carrying twins. I called hubby immediately, he had to rush down to get my things.
Around 4pm, the doctor came to check me. My vagina was opened but the babies were still having fun in my tummy. They were not ready to come out. Maybe they wanted to start school there, I don't know for them.
I still wasn't feeling any pains. Everything was normal. I even sat on the bed and was browsing twitter and Instagram. I was even chatting with my friends on WhatsApp.


Around 6pm, the pains started. Oh Lord, I was trying to be strong but I couldn't hold it anymore. I started crying. The nurses came and told me the babies are getting ready to come and I will be moved to the labor room when it becomes intense.
Around 8pm, I was moved to the labor room. 10mins later, Taiwo came out weighing 2.2kg and crying her eyes out. I felt a bit relieved.
2 mins later, kehinde followed weighing 2.2kg.
The babies were attended to and I was cleaned up.


4th Trimester
We were discharged the next day.
A brief history about my family, most of our babies have jaundice. So once a baby is born, we carry out test the next day.
Tests were carried out on taiwo and kehinde and it was discovered the had jaundice.
The doctors wanted to admit them, we refused and took our babies home.
I come from a family that believes in herbs and got married to another family that believes in herbs.
Mother in law was called and informed of the situation, she came and brought unripe pawpaw. Peeled, washed and soaked it for the babies while another herb was prepared for me which was soaked in lime. I take it every morning plus the unripe pawpaw too and the babies suck it from my breast.
Every morning, we take them out in the morning sun.
Few days later, everything started clearing from their body and their eyes turned white.
We went back to the hospital to do another test( just to confirm if the jaundice is still there or not).
The jaundice was gone. Allhamdulilah.
Everything ended in praise. Mother and the babies are doing well.
The annoying part of 4th trimester is the sleepless nights. I can't wait for this phase to pass.

Scan has moved my date again 😭😭😭 First EDD was 24th may, Along the line it changed to 17th and I was super excited.. Now it's 23rd😭😭😭😭

This is my story, I'm no mummy but I come here to read, digest , get to know and update myself.. Lots of feedback here put my life and BP to rest while some raised it. Above all, the baby came out fine yesterday..

40 weeks gone no sign of labour, date didn't work, castor oil didn't work, last scan shows baby is 4.4 and last resort was CS. I wish I had enough education about trying induction at 38/39 weeks. All in all. thanks to God, mother and child are fine..

The way i feel tired these days is something else. i seriously prayed to port to April, i am already in my 37 weeks and can't carry myself again, pls mamas in the house how do i cope from here?

It was dry the day I was discharged but because it was wet because of the water massage I guess that's why the plaster hasn't been removed yet. Can't wait to resume taking bath.

congratulations to those that have given birth, it will be easy for us ijn. Please I need help o...I have bin having contractions since 4am today. And it's last for 1,min at 10min interval , sometimes 20min...but the contractions is just 1 min. From 4am up till now no progress, the time is currently almost 10pm. I have bin admitted , they checked cervix this afternoon still close n this contraction is painful... please what can I do for progress....I'm tired...

I welcomed my Prince and Princess (twins) on April 19th, 2023 @8pm via vaginal delivery.

Baby weight: 2.2 kg and 2.2 kg @36wks & 7 days

Hello mamas in the house, I'm a silent member of this group, I'm 30 weeks gone. I'm experiencing contractions and pain in my abdomen. I feel so uncomfortable lying down, couldn't even sleep last night cos of the pain. Don't know if anyone has similar experience. Is it normal for 30 weeks pregnancy?

@iamfertile; You are strong, you are beautiful and you've got this.Your body will birth when ready.You are not helpless , we are here.

I totally understand what you are going through and I have been there. I have said it over and over again Hospitals do not have much to offer. If your water has not broken yet, please believe me when I say you can leave the hospital and return back home.Ask questions about your dilation, your amiotic fluid level and the baby heart rate. If everything is fine, you can leave and continue to contract at home.You are not in active labour yet and your body needs time that is all.

Please if everything is fine medically, go and labour at home. The thing some of us labour for days before reaching full dilation. And it takes a while for our baby to engage. Hospital does not have that patience.

I repeat your baby might not just be ready yet, contractions is your womb getting ready to birth. Sometimes it takes days sometimes it takes couple of weeks. Manage pain with calm environment, Hypnobirthing videos on YouTube and paracetamol. And continue your exercise.

Good morning mama's, I've been at the hospital since last night as instructed by the Dr. I'm 37 3days. Like I said I've been having contraction since last week Monday & becoming stronger though going on & off. Dr. said they'll induce wt cathetar & observe for 12 hrs b4 they can know if it works or progress to tablet.
BUT...
my fear is d Dr said if it doesn't work it's CS. God knows I DON'T want CS because I still want to try to get pregnant early next year.
Pls what shud I do? What is the accuracy of inducing? I mean the percentage of it working? I'm really confused. Pls advice me. I'm confused

Hi mamas, I have been feeling contraction for days now although I think it is Braxton hicks (I’m a FTM) but tonight’s own is very frequent and so uncomfortable. Does this mean labor is near?
I have changed position, drank water and done everything google asked me to do but my belly is still contacting. What are the signs that labour is near please,
I’m worried, tired, heavy, swollen. I honestly cannot wait for this to be over!😭
