You can say that again,my last labour,I bit the hospital wardrobe so much that I coudnt chew with my teeths for more than a week after birth . That pain is no break but it's fast sha for most not for all.

My first trimester was shege pro. I battled nausea and tiredness. Food was my enemy. I was scared to eat for the fear of vomiting. The only food I could take was moimoi and akara but its must not be prepared by me.
Second trimester is flexing for me.
I am hopeful for the third trimester but scared of heartburns and heaviness.

I have never escaped heartburn in all my pregnancies from first to third trimester and I have never escaped spitting too. I spit from the day I'm positive till labour day or a day after labour . Infact I wake up in the night multiple times to always spit. My nausea is worst. Bitter kola is good but not too much...I still have it plenty but it gives me serious heartburn and ulcer pain. Yes it stir up ulcer and the caffeine in it prevent sleeping if taken too much. Me I just dey,all trimesters for me are same. I have been having pelvic and vagina pain since first trimester, sciatica pain too

Awwn , you are far ahead of us oo. Two weeks to enter third trimester ke . Me I'm 22 weeks today . By the way,you are my Edd mate for may 2021 when I had my second baby though ported to April 25th when bp was high but it ended in praise. I pray for once I would have normal delivery and not to be induced. I was induced for my first and second , pray this one go painless insha'Allah. May we all carry our bundle of joy , after this I'm hanging boots

I was purging seriously,I didn't know the stooling was contraction.My stomach was giving me sign but didn't know.The doctor said it was fetal distress that the baby was looking for a way to come out

Bp issue is a bit scary but I won't be scared again,I had no in my first pregnancy and I was monitored for a week in a government hospital but one thing I noticed is that they can only monitor but that doesn't reduce it,I was discharged cus there was no protein in my urine.I was placed on bp drugs and every clinic my BP was always 150/100 but I was fine,I carried till 39weeks but loose the baby due to cord accident.My sister you can manage the bp till 36 weeks then do elcs,I remembered I requested for elcs but government hospital with their stupidity sometimes assuming I had done the cs around 36weeks there won't be any 39weeks incident.I bought a bp machine that I am using and I noticed it's always low at home but high in the hospital now my recent gynea termed it as WHITE COAT HYPERTENSION cus I do record then give to them in my clinic.BYE BYE TO GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL (don't mind me jare)

Pls did the BP cause cord accident? Yes private hospital monitor people than govt hospital.

I have been in the hospital for the past 1 week , 2 events stood out.

One was a lady who gave birthday via VD , she said the baby had the cord round his neck that he cried once immediately he was born then kept silent so he was kept in the ICU . She had been told that she needed CS to birth but she insisted it has to be VD. After 2 days the baby died, her first son to be .

Another was a lady brought in last night whose BP was 180/120, the husband was asked to deposit money at the pharmacy in case there is need for drugs since it is a teaching hospital, you won't believe he went home without making the deposit. As at 12am, we were all awaken by the nurses running around, she was convulsing , her BP over the roof ! See the way other Mamas were praying for her , I could hear her forcing saliva through her clenched teeth , she became calm by the time her Drs came then was transferred to the labour ward . She was told she will have ECS today as they can't risk another seizure ( thankfully she is 35weeks 5days.

It might be just spasms or seizures.some baby have it and it goes away on its own....but don't ignore your intuition

Good evening Mamas in the house,my 4 months old baby started this thing whereby he stiffens his body(freezes)for few seconds when picked up or when I make movement as little as walking with him on my back,he stiffens his body and let out a short cry on my back and relaxes again,I took him to the hospital today because the things I have been reading on Google is not helping my mental health at all,the doctor said he is fine,after we left the hospital this evening,he slept off on my back,as I was moving towards the bed to drop him,he froze and cried again before relaxing his muscles,I know we have senior mamas in the house, please help, should I be worried and how can I get the doctor to actually witness it,when it happens,I mostly am not able to record it because it is just for few seconds or could it be as a result of throwing him up after bath time when he was a baby?I fought so hard for my baby not to be thrown up but you know all these grandma and their wahala, should I be worried mamas,I cried my eyes out this evening already..... sorry for the long write up and typos

It might even just be spasm that will go away on its own. Is the baby in pain when he/she cries? You must know if theur is pain in the baby's cry

It is important you are able to record it cos that's the only way you can show doctor. Though this little explanation you gave should be able to give doctors idea and make them do necessary test. But pls don't panic, sometimes it's all just for nothing. Every baby is different. But we mothers know when something is not ok. You can tell the doctors what Google tells you and ask them to do the test if possible as long as it won't hurt the baby.

You hit the nail on the head and You couldn’t have said it any better. I have had it twice and the only cure once it’s not coming down is delivery of the baby, every child is precious but waiting for seven years for this and then the doctor is not on top of the situation is not satisfactory enough to me.

Honestly, the doctor is not serious to me. He/she supposed to be on top of the situation already. My friend that did IVF had BP 139 or so, she was operated upon around 35/36 weeks. It was a precious baby after waiting for 5 years and two IVF so they couldn't take risk and thankgod all went well

Exactly, admission is needed. I remember my doctor explaining to me while he had to induce me in just 3 days , I was giving drugs but it didn't work for me. The day of labour it was 150, then during labour it started coming down.my BP was checked every 30 minutes I got so tired it was so uncomfortable. I seriously advise my fellow woman to go to good hospital that can monitor her closely till she reach 34 to 36 weeks,then they can induce her or perform CS. It can be managed with proper care and in the hospital not at home. I was admitted 2 days prior to induction for monitoring

All will be well but there’s need to be worried as this is one of the signs of preeclampsia that should be taken seriously so it doesn’t escalate hence the aspirin75mg as a preventive measure from the hospital, if it stays at 140 then they may have to put her on bed rest to prevent them from delivering the baby early. @iamfertile please make sure your doctor is on top on this bp issue and if you feel he’s not doing enough don’t hesitate to switch to where you feel comfortable or a better facility if you can afford it , I’m talking from experience.

Exactly mama, her doctor giving just vasoprin and letting her go is not ok by me. I think she needs to seel other experts opinion by changing her hospital

Sabi mamas, abeg come shook mouth for this matter. There is no need to be worried though, work with your doctor and don't stress yourself. All is well in Jesus name.

There is need for her to drop other things and focus on the baby now ...she needs to be monitored. My advice is to be properly monitored in the hospital

Mama's in the house, I salute you. Pls I have a question which is really disturbing me. I'm 24weeks pregnant & on Monday during the antinatal vitals they discovered my BP is 140 (i don't know the parameters). I was surprised because it has always been 120. I was placed on vasoprin 75mg 1daily for 2weeks.. I'm worried because I redid the test on Tuesday & it's still 140. I don't know what caused this because I sleep very well & don't think. The only thing I'm suspecting is that I resumed office on that same Monday. Could it be work stress or pls has anyone experienced this & how do I reduce the BP? I'm really worried because it took me 7 years to have this pregnancy & don't want anything to happen 2me or my baby. Thnx

It's pregnancy induced bp. I had it in my last pregnancy. At 38 weeks my BP was 140. Not to scare you but doctor told me it's safer the baby is outside as soon as possible. So he gave me 3 days after which I was induced and had my son alhamdullilahi. Where I'm going is, your BP is 140, and you are 24 weeks,I think you need to be monitored in the hospital and taken care of so it won't increase further. I'm thinking the doctor should have suggested admission for proper monitoring because you are still far and it's a precious baby and not just giving you vasoprin and let you go home. Pls you need another doctor opinion on this. the bp will only be back to your usual when you have your baby. Please go to another hospital for second opinion. This is not something you cause or anything, it's Induced by the baby and doctors don't know why only that it will go once the baby is out. I wish you safest delivery ever with your bundle of joy. Seek another doctors opinion pls. It's not your fault at all

You need to learn china importation to do this. Many people are actually offering the teaching both on Instagram and Facebook.

Happy new year teamies, welcome to the first month of 2023. We shall have no reasons to cry in 2023 in Jesus name. How is the journey so far? We should be in our 5th month.

From my end, serious countdown has begun and funny enough my tummy isn't showing that yet but the different packages accompanying this pregnancy hmmmmm. Let's buy baby things as we are chanced with money, may God make it easy for us in Jesus name.

I'm just a little relieved that almost 20 weeks and morning sickness just reduced.....i plan to order my baby things January Ending from china so it can arrive before may. I do import and that's how I usually buy my kids things unless it's urgent. But I'm extremely tired ..this pregnancy is making me so tired. God will help us ..I'm half way already

Shopping days and the rest. We were like family, related very well even discussed family related issues like handling our SIL MIL BIL and even personal issues then. Our older mother's then like mama @zaynie Akela and so many mother's then. You would not come here with a problem then without solutions, no depression, you'll always find something to laugh about.
Now, many things changed, you hardly see 2-3 posts a day. So dry, Why? Mama zaynie and the rest come to our rescue o. This is omonifamily from 2017, you guys may not know me though cos I wasn't and still not the talking to type

Hello everyone,

I’m new here and this platform is very educating.
I’m 18weeks 5days gone (this is my first baby) and I have had a very terrible headache for the past one week on the side of my head, I also noticed that my bump is softer and it has reduced. My baby flutters is also not as sharp as it was last week, I am honestly very worried coupled with the fact that the midwives here in the UK are not very helpful, I managed to reach the emergency unit to be checked just to be sure but they asked me to drink water and take paracetamol. Has anyone here experienced this please? What did you do? Is this normal?

A simple scan can see if the baby is alright and rest your mind

I'm in my first trimester also and I had the same issue weeks back, a momma here prescribed boiling ginger and garlic, sieve and drink the water, I drank it hot morning and night for just two days and it worked like magic, haven't felt sore throat or cough since then.
