Me went for scan today, baby is measuring 39weeks+ (3.84kg)and I'm 38 weeks by lmp. Baby is head down but cervix still closed . Im finally registering today at Dr ismail Afolabi(director at oba ademola) hospital. They said to come back this evening. Chai u don see mucus . Where is my own mucus oooooo. Cos the baby weight dey scare me.

Cappo thanks for checking up on us, scan says am 37 weeks but by LMP am 35 weeks, BH is so strong, tiredness, high BP, backache are now part of my package, bag is fully packed... Can't wait to meet my miracle babies

Good evening mamas please m confused about something oo I am already 41 weeks pregnant and the doctor said i should take 2 bottles of castor oil to induce labour but m reading online that it might nt be entirely advisable nd More so online they said tablespoons not the whole bottle I just dont know what to do ....I hv taken pineapple oo trekked oo everything I don't know y my baby doesn't want to come nd my mom is even making me worry more since she never had any of us past 39weeks...how come my own is different bikonu

Two bottles ke? It's much ooooooooo. What I know is 1 table spoon or almost 2 table spoons. Pls two bottles might be veryyyyyyyyyyy dangerous

How are we doing super strong teamies.
May is almost here & we can't help but be grateful to God for the journey so far. I believe our bags are packed and nursery set. Come in & tell us your symptoms for the remaining weeks. I clocked 37weeks & BH contractions has been the order of the day. Swift delivery to all preggy mums.

I've been very nauseous for d past 2 days I even vomited. I lost appetite,I feel weak tired. I even purged for a day like that. I'm just so down

Oba ademola has been on strike . I'm just fed up on which hospital to use. Lantoro registration is tomorrow but I dont know why I hate their surroundings. I'm even sick and tired I'm 38 weeks today. I've missed 2 antenatal since I got back to abk. I wish oba ademola would go off strike .

We only get 2 standard ultrasounds during pregnancy (dating ultrasound to estimate due date and anatomy scan around 20 weeks to check for abnormalities). Getting ultrasounds before birth isn’t standard practice where I live, so nobody could estimate how big they were until I had them, but my OB actually thought my second was gonna be a lot smaller due to how small I was during his pregnancy. They were both fairly easy births

Doctors here also don’t usually schedule a cesarean unless you have other risks factors or markers or they suspect a macrosomic baby which I had none of.

It feels like all of the baby’s weight is right down down in my coochie. In fact, if I physically touch my v area, there’s a sore sensation like it’s been carrying a lot of weight.

I know with my daughter , I felt like this when I was around 9 month, can remember if I had it around this 6 month.

To walk sef, na helele.

I hope I’m not alone on this boat.

Doctors do allow moms birth 4kg plus babies. My first child was 4.3kg and I had him vaginally. The second was 4.2kg and he was also born vaginally.

I can't eat beef, fish, chicken or turkey. But you see intestines, I dey finish work.

Today, I had 2 wraps of semo, egusi and N800 intestines. I finished it and said yes! E no even reach me sef.


On another note, second time, third time and even fourth time mamas with toddlers, please and please, how are you coping? I need tips biko, because ike a gwugo m! O ti remi! Infact, my tired is tired.

I have an active one year old that makes me run around the house, because she keeps going to the wrong places. DH has warned me to stop running after her but I can't help it. She seems to enjoy it when you pursue her, she'll run even faster. She's one year, but her legs are steadier than mine. I'm happy she's getting a sibling soon.

If it's not that, it's my tummy. It's now her pillow, and she doesn't treat it gently sef.

She pinches my nipples, isn't that risky?

And she's always dragging my fruits with me

If she sees me sitting on her daddy's laps or we're having a private conversation, she comes around to stand in front of us as if to inquire why she wasn't invited in the meeting.

I've told hubby, he'll come back from work one day to find that I've put her in a night bus to Ogharra to go and stay with her grandparents.

.my almost 3 years old daughter will even put mouth on my nipple if I sleep off. Those kids are like that.so troublesome

No it's not about what you eat.its about genetics. My hubby is huge so I've known my babies would b a little on big side. Don't worry the weight might not even be upto 4kg because scan gives estimate. You should go into labour anytime now so don't worry pls. What matters is you alive, baby alive

Nothing can be done to reduce weight. I think doctors relate to mother stature before they allow them to birth 4kg babies especially first time mum. It will depend on your status. Are you tall?. Don't worry your doctor will access your pelvic to know if its possible or they tell you to do pelvimetry but to be sincere most doctors don't do it unless you talk to them and ask them questions. Tell your doctor your Fear. Hear his/her opinion

Is not too big. My friend gave birth 3 days ago to 4.2kg without tear. And when she had her first child, she weighed 3.1kg with plenty tear. What I know is most doctors don't allow first timer to birth 4kg+babies. Are u a first time mum? Besides scan gives estimate. Scan gave me 3.5kg for my daughter and when I gave birth she weighed 3.25kg.

I am the one sis. I am doing well.
Actually, I am still at the hospital. My doctor came to see me yesterday, according to my recent scan which was on last Friday, the cervix is closed now, the tip of the placenta has also moved 2cm away from the cervix but doctor still advised I stay in the hospital because baby's head is still lying very low.

C-section has been scheduled to take place at 37 complete weeks of pregnancy.

I finally got to know I am having a baby girl too.

Please does anybody remember that May mama that has been admitted for weeks because of placental previa and baby measuring small or so? . I cant remember her moniker but she is May team. She said its likely she was going to bring that baby out by 36 weeks. Does anybody remember her?

Chai sorry, you're almost there, heartburn dealing with me too, but I still manage to eat. My own struggle is insomnia, I don't sleep at night till it's about 2am, no matter how tired I am.

My own is I can sleep throughout the whole day and night

Good evening mummies, bet we all had a great day today. Please I have a concern, I've done 95% shopping, but hubby and I are in a fix if we should buy a baby cot or not because almost everyone around us complained how they wish they never bought or made a baby cot as the LO never agreed to sleep in it and it just became a monument in the house. So now we are confused if to buy not knowing if our LO will actually accept to sleep in it. Kindly share your opinion or experience.

BTW I packed my hospital bag today.....

Most babies don't sleep Inside cot. Mine didn't too besides it was inconvenient for me waking up everytime to pick her up and breast feed. It's easier when the baby was besides me on bed

It seems my stomach is directly on my heart. There is no space in my stomach again. . Im hungry but heartburn won't let me eat. My stomach has shrunk no space again. I'm 37 weeks already and all I get is backache and BH. May teamies hope your case are better?

I used oba ademola for my first. Lantoro I heard is same thing ..they don't give injection. Though my mother in law called someone that can help in oba ademola...so I'm going there tomorrow

Shopping is done but bag not yet packed. I will be 37 weeks tomorrow and I've travelled to abeokuta yesterday to deliver there. I'm just tired already. Thank you for checking up on us. Still contemplating on hospital to use here because Im seriously rooting for hospital that will Inject me before stitching if at all I have tear. I'm so scared of that thing.

I have started doing exercises and I pray it hasten it.......congratulations to all April mothers that has given birth

Not only you o. Me that I will b 37 weeks tomorrow, I saW the misoprostol used to induce me for my first child, one evil mind was telling me to use one and Induce myself . I quickly discarded the thoughts. I'm so tired

PRE PREGNANCY
I got pregnant March 2020 and was with team December 2020. I started noticing spotting when I was 4 weeks gone. I went to hospital and was given some drugs and asked to return if it didn't stop in 3 days. It did stop before the three days elapsed. I went for scan at 9 weeks and the sonographer said everything is ok that heartbeat cannot be detected quickly like that, that we will be able to hear the heartbeat when it's over 12 weeks(olodo somebody). The spotting returned and I went to another place for scan and I was told it's blighted ovum. I rejected it and went back to my quack Sonographer who reassured me once more that everything is ok( even though I know in my mind that all is not ok) May God answer all those who are looking for fruit of the womb.
To cut the long story short I lost the pregnancy. It came out on it's own.
PREGNANCY
My period returned before a month and I got the bfp that same month. First trimester was so easy, no morning sockness, nothing. Second trimester came with Carpal tunnel syndrome. It started from the left wrist to the right wrist( still on it) Third trimester was sweet too.
DELIVERY
At exactly 39 weeks, I just wanted to turn on the bed just to see water gushing out. No signs prior to this. I and hubby left for hospital immediately at around 7am. The water just dey gush out and I no wear pant, the nurse abuse shege for my body(lol) that I'm messing der hospital. I wasnt having any contraction. I was checked and at 3cm. I was given two options for inducement or cs because I've lost almost all the water. If I know make I choose cs jeje. I chose to be induced. Contraction started back to back and by 4-5pm I was fully dilated. That was when they knew I have oval shaped whatever they call it and I can't deliver on my own. I died and resurrected. They called surgeon to come which took like 2 and half hours. I honestly thought I wasn't going to make it. I was placed on oxygen. Doctor came and that was the last thing I remembered. I woke up shouting where's my pregnancy. I became only calm when I saw my prince charming. I give all the glory to God. I appreciate all mamas in this family. May God protect our Los and answer all GTC mothers.

Oh my God! This is so painful! What's wrong with our Nigerian doctors? They should have found all this out before letting u go ahead to labour. We thankgod it ended in praise. Congratulations mama

Yes you can visit hospital to check if you are due or if the contractions has taken a pattern

Its a practice contractions. You tummy will get very hard for few seconds/minutes then relax back. It can be mild or a little painful.

My legs are swollen and heavy. Never experienced this with my previous pregnancies.

Mine too is swollen just not upto yours and doctor said its OK since bp and urine are good. Just lift your feet up most times..dont rest on them cos its retaining water.

Mama, the itching has stopped. Thank God. Na pelvic pain dey disturb me now. We went for a scan at 31 weeks. Doctor said baby is in breach position. That I should repeat scan in one month time. I hope there's no problem with it? Is there anything I can do to make the baby turn head down?

Don't worry....the baby will.turn...it was today my doctor Co firmed my baby has turned. He even put my hands on my pelvic to feel the head abd am 36weeks+. Though I still think the baby is changing . My first child turned from transverse to head down at exactly 38 weeks and I gave birth 41 weeks+. 31 weeks is still a little far I fact your baby might change overnight
