Happy new month teamies, welcome to the last month of 2022. We shall have no reasons to cry in the remaining days of the year in Jesus name. How is the journey so far? We should be in our 18th, 17th, 16th and 15th weeks. Endeavor to get baby things as you get money don't wait till you can't move oooo. May God supply our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Good day Mamas, pls help o, I'm in my first trimester about 5weeks and it's been 6 days now I've had sore throat accompanied with cough that usually get serious in the night, I barely sleep, I went to the pharmacy to complain and I was given strepsils and a cough syrup, once I take the strepsils the sore throat subsides for about an hour then gets serious again, I'm tired, I can barely swallow my saliva, Its a struggle to eat. Pls mamas are these also early stage symptoms? Is there anything you can prescribe for fast relief. I'll appreciate your responses

Please would like to ask, when is the appropriate time to go for scan or visit hospital.
My wife is just a month+ pregnant (first time also).
She hasn’t been getting herself lately, she can’t do anything, been tired n stomachache can’t let her do anything in the house ever since.
She just keep asking I seek out knowledge about it all concerning what she can do n all n if all she’s experiencing is normal.
And, till how many month should ante- natal starts?

Hello mamas
I am about 6weeks plus pregnant. I did my first scan on wed, everything was on point. Yesterday evening I started bleeding seriously, just kept dropping. Rushed to the hospital and I was scanned, said baby was okay but I needed to be admitted and placed on bed rest. The bleeding stopped after about an hour.

Pls anyone bled like this in their early pregnancy and still delivered their healthy baby. I have hope in God, just want to know if this happens. This is my first pregnancy and it took me years � pls awaiting your inputs

I don't even know where to start from, I was team Dec 2021,the journey was partially smooth it was few days to my Edd that I started panicking but took control of everything. After birth my baby hardly sleeps or is me that is exaggerating things Sha,maybe that is how it should be,but I hardly sleeps at night, because egbon show me Chon thing o even till now.
Have never been confused in my life like when am nursing my baby the guy no just send you, to sleep wahala, to use the restroom ogun, to birth gbeghe o, to eat sef problem. Letter Sha he Sha pity my life when am trying to enjoy the little peace, even promising myself that I will wait for good three years o,thanking God for having mercy on me,another one look me say you never see anything con enter, without seeing my menstruation o,as in it took me three months to know that am pregnant, omo life tired me, my husband hear ween from my hand infact his still hearing it, the first day I went to clinic I was just asking everybody that is it possible not to menstrate and get pregnant ni, infact i almost ask the gateman sef.
After everything Sha I was told that am team April, the woman doing the scan asked for my LMP I just feel like slapping her, person wen no menstrate dey get LMP, but am promising myself if I born today if it pass two hour before I will be put on family planning I will scatter that hospital, and after this one I will wait for five years may God help me so.

Please I have been having this severe pain at my back, the thing is just somehow hocking me and also my heart abi chest.

I was told its Ulcer pain, yes i have ulcer but never experienced this kind of back ache.

I have been taking Omeprazole & Gestid for the past 2 days now but no sign of relieve.

We are in our 15wks.

The issue we are having is that she is losing weight unlike when she was pregnant with our first child she was beautiful and robost but this time she is just losing weight. Any suggestions will go a long way.

Sorry Mamas just posting this.. This past week was tough for. I had severe abdominal pain for two days that I couldn't sleep in those nights. Ran to the hospital in the second night at 1am, na so them do all there test dey say na normal, it's ligament something that It can even get worst. Advice I get a pregnancy support belt to help reduce the pains. But thank God the pain is better now.

My cappo sorry I have been missing in action,I am already 31weeks and feel so huge already. The babies are head down already, I hoping for a vaginal delivery but if my hospital refuses then its an elective CS. All the same we thank God for bringing us this far.

Morning moms, please I'm a first time mom, would love to join my team, I'm 22weeks 4 days as at today, I'm team march. no frequent urination, my bump is just showing a bit, I don't know If I have noticed my baby movement cus I don't know how it feels, was told I have an anterior placenta according to my last scan, I stopped using the drugs given to me around first trimester because they gave me headache and make me weak. I feel okay as at today so I'm hoping everything is fine.. I hope I do not need to be worried

First Trimester
To think that I didn’t expect to get pregnant. My mind told me it could happen because of the unprotected sex I had with DH but I was like it was just twice and more so God could just help me that it won’t result into a pregnancy…. Funny me.
On the other hand, God wanted it so I got pregnant that same month and I was like wow, well I will be fine.
Truth be told I started getting sick from then. I had an infection that was hard to treat because of the pregnancy and my immune system.
It was really hard being sick ,coupled with morning sickness and taking care of a toddler.
I couldn’t eat well due to low appetite, I had to be placed on antibiotics back to back so I lost weight frm size 12 to a size 8. With prayers , I got fine and recovered gradually.

Second Trimester
I got better because I could eat and infection ceased so I resumed work and I was fine. Baby was cooperating well… no pregnancy packages like heartburn and the rest. I was strong.

Third Trimester
I had a bartholyn cyst and I resumed antibiotics because the cyst got infected. This time it really affected me because I could hardly walk, do things on my own too. I was mostly in pain. I was really praying for baby to look good because I thought all I went through could affect her. DH kept encouraging me in the lord. I had low pcv , I tried all but still the same.
I couldn’t even do cloth shopping for LO. I kept postponing and at a point decided to use what I used for my first child.
I wanted to stop working but couldn’t because it would affect our livelihood so I had endure the pain.
Fast forward to 31 weeks … baby was in transverse position so I was hoping she would turn. My MIL wanted me to go for massage but I told her to let’s wait till my last scan (though trying to post her)
At 36 weeks scan… baby was sitting. Cyst that was manageable got worse and turned into a wound on the labia. So automatically I was advised to go for CS . It was hard to accept because other than these 2 reasons I would have had VD. Later I accepted it with good faith.
I had a change of hospital, I was placed on daily wound dressing and catheter to pee to avoid urine touching the wound on labia.

CS and Recovery process
Surgery went well. Recovery for me was a bit slow hence more pain, more time spent at the hospital because of the state of my health before the CS but the doctor was patient enough. After some days we were discharged.
Still in recovery process hence my late BS

I pray that with all these things we women go through for the sake of our LOs, we shall live to eat the fruit of our labor in Jesus name. (I say this prayer every time my lo sucks on my cracked nipples because the pain no be here )
Please and please let’s use our prenatal meds. Let nothing discourage us from using them all the time. I feel that it could have helped if I was religiously using them. Na now I come dey use my vitamin bs.
For those still waiting on the lord… he will do it. He won’t fail. All that’s needed is faith.

later, she came to where I was lying down and said no they can't manage it rather she will give me an injection that will stop the contractions and refer me to Enugu state. this was around 3pm. I jejely carry myself and went home. on getting home, I took my bath and said let me rest small. my husband called and said they are looking for my Mil. I dragged myself out and sat outside the gate in case she decide to trace her way home ( she is suffering from dementia and tends to wander around if nobody is around her). I was feeling on and off pains and decide to go inside and prepare dinner. I could not, I was having this urge to poo, I will enter the toilet and come out. I called DH that I'm going back to the hospital to sleep there I can't bear the pains I'm passing through. he said I should meet him outside. I just changed my clothes and carry my small handbag ( for my mind, if they need anything he should come and get them at home), Immediately we reached the hospital, DH wanted to go and call the nurse to bring wheelchair but I was already behind him.
on getting there, I climbed the bed. the nurse was like, but we have already referred you to another hospital nah. I told her, nurse, I want to poo. she checked and screamed, that I should poo. with just a push, my baby was out screaming his lungs out weighing 2.3kg. no hospital bag, no baby clothing, no nothing. DH was just confused.
all in all I give God the glory. the drama too plenty.
swift delivery to all the waddling Mamma's, we shall all testify. to those that couldn't make it to the finishing line, God will give you double and affliction shall not rise again.

Thanks for the response. I had an emergency C-section last year March because the baby was breeched and came out with the leg through my vagi*na @ 37 weeks, 4 days. I lost the child in the process.

I woke up feeling mild cramps at 12:51 am on Saturday.

I tried to time the contractions but I didn't understand the difference between them and when to go to the hospital. No mucus plug and my water didn't break. I didn't want to go and be sent back home. I woke my husband and told him it may or may not be time. I tried to use the toilet but it was like my rectum was blocked.

The cramps was around my waistline and bu*tt. I went to the sitting room and asked my daughter's nanny to heat up water for me. I had my bath and my husband got ready. Now the big question was, to go or not to go to the hospital? I checked Google and realized you have to go if the contractions are five minutes apart. I showed my husband the ones I timed and he said it was 1-3 minutes apart. The pain was mild and we just kept looking at each other.

I said I can endure until 2 am but after a while, I decided to come to Nairaland for help. I was searching for a birth story that involved contractions and remembered mama MercyMercy and I told my husband see oo, we can wait until Saturday evening

Then I became nauseous and went to throw up in the bathroom and my husband said, it's the nausea that's making me uncomfortable

We went back to staring at each other and after a while, I said, let's go and let them check me. My husband grabbed a small baby cot because the hospital doesn't have one and I was like, we are just going to check my bp, urine and cervix nau. He said let's go with it. When we got to the main gate of our street, my husband was shouting at the security to open the gate that I was in labor and I was just looking because the cramps had ceased and I didn't want to tell him it was false alarm

Once he started driving again, cramps resumed and I said, thank God oooo! When we got to the estate that leads to the hospital, the small gate was open but big gate was closed and no security in sight. It was same thing that happened with my last baby.

We parked outside the estate and I grabbed my purse containing my urine sample container and hospital card. Half way down the road, I told my husband, grab the hospital bags in case they want to keep me overnight.

He ran back to get them and we walked to the hospital and knocked for the security to wake up and let us in. There was no light, every where was dark and my husband started fuming. I don't know why I prefer this hospital to the Behind ones around me maybe it was because it was the same hospital I used during my ttc journey. When we got there, we went upstairs and I told a nurse I had bad stomach pains. She brought my card and took me to the doctor. The doctor said, what's the problem and I said I had stomach pains. He asked when I was due and I said it's supposed to be today according to LMP. Then I told him I wanted to use the toilet and was suddenly pressed to go.

He asked that I should be taken to the labor room and I tried to use the toilet but the pains had increased. The doctor checked me and I prayed in my head that I should be at least 5cm gone but he said, I was 9cm dilated and asked if my water had broken. He wore gloves, inserted his fingers in my cervix and brought out a thin layer of mucus and then I felt a sticky water gush down my leg. He left and I asked the nurse, what next?

She said, we go wait and I said for who? And she said for baby to come. I asked her, what should I do? Should I walk around?

They didn't try to shave me or do an enema like the last time. The other nurses were just checking my bags and complaining. I told them I deliberately left some items out because I wanted to buy from the hospital. All they were concerned about was money, and I was getting pissed.

One nurse came and rudely asked why I didn't buy jik and I told her, they should sell to me because it was my intention to buy from them and then she said, no tissues? I said sell to me, I forgot to put them in the bag. I tried to walk but pain was unbearable. I tried to use the toilet and none of them followed me. I was afraid of having the baby in the toilet and I went back to the labor room. I climbed the bed and one nice nurse said, when you feel the pain again, push. I tried to get up and told her I wanted to use the toilet but she said push, it's time. I told her it was toilet I need and at that same time

Two giant ones came out and that nurse complaining slapped my arms twice and I asked her why. She said I didn't bring tissues. I let it go. They put a new underlay and suddenly I felt the need to go again. I didn't even wait, started to try to go and was screaming as the pain trippled.

The nurses were screaming too, wait, na baby, you go tear ooo. I felt a sudden pull through my VJ and baby came out. One nurse grabbed the baby and I raised my head and said, thank you Jesus!

That wicked nurse came again and wiped me something on my face and said lay back. I shouted on her and she said if I have complications I would blame them. She's not the one handling the delivery o, she was handing out items. The nurse handling the birth looked at me and realized she knew me. When they realized I wasn't a teenager, she thought I was, me and my small body

She came over and started acting nice. I made up my mind to report her to the MD because she was a joy killer. The nurse handling the birth started explaining that her colleague was afraid the placenta would go back in when I lifted my head. I said, no problem. They said you have a boy and I said okay. They started cleaning up baby and it took them forever to put diaper on him.

They checked the time and baby was born 2:16, weighing 3.4kg. They checked for tears and thank God, there was none. I was glad God came through for me. The nurse scooped out blood clot, dipped a pad in me to soak out more blood and then put one more pad in and asked me to leave it for a while unless I was pressed. She cleaned me up and they were all trying so hard to be nice. They gave me a wrapper from my bag to tie, cleaned me up and helped me into the ward which had three people. We requested for a private ward and they said it was filled up. We brought in our own baby cot and baby started crying for food. I asked if I could breastfeed him and the nurse said yes. After a while, a nurse rushed back in and said, are you not aware of your status?

I said, which status? And she said you are A negative.

I told her I knew and we were getting the injection at daylight. She said I wasn't supposed to breastfeed the baby and I told her this is my second baby, I breastfed my first baby after birth. She said I should wait until I took the injection. When she left, we checked Google and confirmed we could breastfeed. I put baby to breast and my foodie son sucked and sucked even though there was no milk. He slept off and I came online to update my teamies. I rested a bit and the hunt for Rhogram injection started.

We are going to the hospital today for me to take it. I didn't report the nurse because she came over, didn't apologize but rubbed my legs and asked if I was okay. She's probably feeling like she's old enough to birth me as per African reasoning and I decided not let her cloud my joy. I let it go.

By 10 am, we paid the bills and left with our sonshine and grandma, aunties, cousins and baby's big sister who came to see us.

P. s now I understand why mamas don't have the time to drop birth stories, e no easy especially with toddlers. Despite the many hands, my daughter suddenly became clingy, asking me to carry her, somebody that loves clinging to her dad or grandma when she is around.

I woke up to pee this morning , realized everyone was asleep and my mind told me, it's now or never oooo.

Glory be to God for his mercies, may his mercy go around and may other mamas have a speedy delivery like mine, 20 minutes.

I pray for healthy babies and quick recovery for moms and plenty blessings for the entire families. I was once called a barren woman but today, I am a mom of two within two years. May God who answered me answer my sisters believing for a child and bless them with multiple babies.

I don hang boot, would have loved one more cute princess and call her Olivia but husband said we are done and after my experience with this pregnancy, I am done too. I can't wait to officially handover to November cappo

Did scan, everything seems to be normal but during the scan of about 10 to 15minutes baby didnt move but heartbeat was regular at 141bpm.
