U keep opening yourself to discrimination, what does being an Indian have to be with anything here.
My opinion is from an Indian perspective on a Nigerian forum. I dont want ppl here saying that im Indian and my country is filled with rapist, blah blah or that i dont know anything about Nigeria so have no right to comment here on your affairs etc.

My views are respectfully from my and my nations perspective.

i see nothing wrong here.

before you judge someone else, judge yourself.

It is a free world. what you consider "normal" now, was strange in another era.

Afterall, suit is a borrowed cloth of the white monkey.

maybe in days past, there was a time when wearing a suit to a wedding itself was considered a strange thing.

if at all I see anything wrong here, it is the fact that a Western suit & a Victorian-era Gown was worn to a Nigerian wedding by the groom n bride themselves.

I am Indian , and I believe only traditional attires must be worn to important socio-cultural events like weddings.

nice one by emeka.

There was once this girl i liked so i called her out on an outing, but she goes to her friend and asks her if she wants to come along too. thankfully the girl refuses. but inside me i was thinking, what am I some public charity box. later turns out the girl never really liked me. she just like the stuff i did for her. angry

I am Indian and I believe..

If men can show chest.

Then women can show breast .

The mammary glands are for feeding and noursihing children.

Even our ancestors roamed without covering their upper body.

In my Great Grandmothers time, women in the village never covered upper body. And it was viewed as perfectly normal.

I believe american p.ornography combined with hypocritical religious fanaticsm has spoiled the minds of present generation.

Christianity EtcRe: 10 Ways Nigerian Christians Are Killing Christianity But Don’t Know by IndianBwoy(m): 1:15pm On Mar 06, 2016
Hi I am Indian. I'm an adherent of my ancestral religion of my tribe as well as mainstream Indian religion (Hinduism).

When I came here I was expecting to meet fellow ancestral-religionists because Africa is the home of tribal religions. But I was dissapointed to see this forum filled with mostly christian and muslim converts.

I'm shocked to see that this condemnation of ancestral religions and terming them as superstition and evil cult is done here on this forum.

Im afraid you might soon abuse my religion as an evil cult. I believe this post is very unhealthy.

SomaliGuy7:
I consider myself SOMALI. That is what my ethnicity is.

you should google or talk to somalis. Somalis consider themselves Somalis, and not BLACK or WHITE or ARAB.

This goes for Ethiopians and Eritreans. We don't look like blacks nor do we look like arabs or whites.
I agree to this. I don't understand why African tribals are using racial affiliation of skin colour (black) to prove their identity.

Racism has infiltrated the minds of the youth.

Music/RadioAny Musicians In The House? (instrumental) by IndianBwoy(op): 6:11pm On Mar 05, 2016
Hi I'm Indian and I love music.

Are there any musicians here? Do you play any musical instruments? If yes, speak about it. Lets share some stuff.

I play the Oud (Arabic Lute), Violin (Western Classical mainly), Harmonica (Mouth organ), Indian Flute and Scottish Great Highland Bagpipes.

Please No electronic stuff.

I'm not too fond of those things. Only classical instruments.

I hear Nigeria has a vast trove of classical instruments like the talking drum, bata drum, xylophone, etc. Would love to hear about traditional instruments and songs.

Everywhere there is a rape cases around the world everyday regardless of ur status in life..but it's up to media if they gonna explode this by reporting it thru air or paper or juz dropped it as if nothing happens...
Some rape cases was juz slipped down to the bin because a lot of victims stayed quiet coz they are vulnerable in all sort of threats..
Now,why India always have this big news abt rape? It's because most victims recently are foreigners..
I remember one time that a local lady of India was raped brutally that her doctors flew her here in Singapore hoping to give her a better chance to live but she lost the battle due to the complications... cry
India has big news about rape coz we have loads if media channels who keep bringing such issues to the fore. Unlike in Northern Nigeria and islamic countries where rape remains unreported for fear of a backlash from society.

Also most rape cases involve locals not foreigners although thw foreigners get more media coverage.

Yes that was horrible. One of the rapists hanged himself in jail. The juvenile in that group was let off lightly i guess.

I read through your posts and I commend your intelligence. Though I still doubt you're really 19, you know so much than your age. Many your age are wasting time on mundane things, but you're vast in many issues. Kudos.

I must commend your command of English too. I have met Malaysia Indians, their English is terrible, though it's more of a national problem for Malaysia. I met a postdoctoral fellow from India too, he's got very heavy accent I could never comprehend. With your written English, I'm certain you'll be fluent too. Keep it up.

Welcome to seeing Nigeria through nairaland. Do yourself some good learning some slangs of the forum and the Nigerian pidgin English.

Nanri!
Thanks brother for the feedback. Well im 19 so that makes me an adult nah. Anyways ive learnt politics at the feet of my parents. Ive been accustomed to following news channels with them.

As for the language I guess thats coz from a tender age my parents always gifted me books for my birthday or if dey travelled and returned. My first book I remember was an awesome encyclopedia with real pics n stuff. Had a database of 1000s of animals. It really got me into animals which i maintain to date.

The main reason I guess is because i learnt English before my native tongue. I remember when my parents used to convers3 in our native tongue, Id ask them why you both are fighting and theyd reply its just how the language sounds. I learnt my native tongue from my grandmother with whom I spent 4 years after my parents were dispersed abroad.

Yes pidgin is my aim. One a the coolest slangs i know. Its really fluid.
