I was at my wits end with medical shows when i was saw the trailer for this, because they had become all too formulaic and i was so sure i wasn't going to see it, but i reluctantly indulged in it, and it totally blew me away.

The style is niche, like 24, and it added a kind of tense and emotional rollercoaster that just sucks you in, immediately you finish that first hour. The characters did a perfect job, to deliver a not so new "flavour" in the most unique way possible.

And did you notice the deliberate sound design (or lack of it). Scores and songs are like the bedrock of medical dramas, they are like a guide for the different range of emotions, but this show's deciding not to use score or song cues, was a master stroke in hindsight. The scores were replaced by actual EKG sounds, sounds from patients expressing joy, sadness and everything in between, making the whole experience of the show really feel, like one very long shift in the ER. Medics irl praised the show as one of the best depictions of what an actual ER looks like.

And like a proper show, like we used to get in yester years, the show returns for another season next January, exactly a year from the last season....and i am already seated.

Top shelf show tbh.🎉

The show was just superbly well done. So many characters and yet they all hit like cr@ck. Top tier stuff.

Yeah, now you mentioned I noticed no sound score at all, all natural sounds from the operation room.
That shooting episode was the best..... Probably the best episode all year hands down.

The writing and production team really cooked with this one.

Milly Alcock is well loved and seen as a fast rising star. Jason Momoa is a household name and both can sell this movie

But with due respect, catering to the Barbie fanbase will do this movie more harm than good imo...

It is the male audience rather than the female audience who mostly sell Superhero movies. Even the "girl-power" superhero movies still rely on mostly the male audience.

Barbie was a success because it was a different type of movie made specifically to cater to younger women and appealed to them and even at that, the male audience supported it greatly...hence the Barbieheimer

But when it comes to Superhero movies, 90% of the audience will likely be male and not female.

A "Barbie" type of Superhero movie will flop imo because the male audience will be turned off and the female superhero fanbase barely exist and won't turn up...

I've been talking about the "Marketing" to female fans. The movie also fits their demography of women wanting female Superheroines and stories to look up to.

BARBIE movie itself isn't even an unserious movie to turn off the male audience despite being a female geared movie, so why do you think SUPERGIRL can't do the same.

I guess you don't know what comic the movie is being adapted from. SUPERGIRL: Woman of Tomorrow is easily the best Supergirl story EVER. And well liked and rated by comic fans — yeah the male audience you know so much about.

I guess you don't know why males flocked to the BARBIE movie as well. Margot Robbie I believe has more male fans than female fans in my opinion. Similarly as Greta Gerwig. So it's no surprise men even dressed up and prepped for that movie.
If I had the time and free cash then to see that movie.... I would have bought the whole merchandise and dressed up in PINK on opening day. 😂😂

I don't think you know what Prime marketing means. Harley Quinn easily outsells merchandise way more than Superman sef as a DC character.

Despite this impending big W, it's a weird case for WB's co-CEOs Mike De Luca and Pamela Abdy. Why? David Zaslav's preference for IPs being the face of WBD and this huge win proves him right. Especially when all filmmaker driven movies from WB has all failed this year— even though Alto Knights_ was greenlit by Zas and Companion and Micky17_ were previous administration projects.

Wondering where everyone was seeing the class acting performance she delivered cos I couldn't see shït. It was just a basic performance to me.

Despite rating the movie high, I couldn't see the hype in Zoe Saldana and felt people were just giving her a pass. In fact, the other stars in the annoying racist Karla Sofia Gascon and incoherent non-fluent Spanish speaking Selena Gomez did a far convincing job to me.

These sequence of events that has unravelled, this past week, couldn't have happened to a more disgusting and hypocritical movie such as this dirtbag of a flick.

The Oscars should feel real stupid now, ignoring valid calls before those nominations came out, and going ahead to make this one of the highest nominated flick ever as per the Academy awards. Now they are in a pickle, If this trash goes on to win any of the big 5 awards, literally everyone is gonna eat the oscars up for been tone deaf to a movie that has pulled one of the greatest gaslight in modern cinema, but then again, if after 13 nominations, it ends up winning nothing because of the ongoing debacle, it further exposes how fraudulent and hypocritical the charade of the Academy awards has become...real ones know they hold zero credibility at this point anyways.

Only Zoe Saldana deserves to walk out of all these unscathed, her performance deserves it, but i fear, all these noise envelopes it all. I am wholly in support of quite frankly, one of the worst films in recent memory failing at the biggest stage after been propped up there by misguided critics nonsense propagandist agenda...see it's failure will bring me untold respite ngl 👌🏿.

Hal Jordan in the DCU is an older man in his 40s-50s unlike what we have in the comics, despite the fans fury, the producers gave no shït. What makes you think such changes can't be made in the DCU? And I'm sure I've heard rumors of James Gunn pivoting towards Wally West as the Flash since we've always had Barry in live action. Just as Hal was aged for John Stewart to shine. Wally West could be older if they want him as a main character because in James Gunn new universe, the superhero world is in existence already not just newly formed.

We're fan casting just for fun. Wally wasn't even the only character I listed as who Glen Powell can play. Glen might be in his mid 30s but can easily look and play someone in his mid 20s.

And I'm solely fan casting actors and directors based on their previous projects I've watched and how they performed....seems somehow you missed the context I'm trying to say with someone "I'm comfortable or satisfied viewing". Why would I cast someone in a role I haven't seen a glimmer of competency he/she can perform considerably convincing?? Or you think it's cos someone is a fave actor I just want to cast them in any role?

Glen Powell would work as a Booster Gold (but seems Kumail Nanjiani got the role), I can see him as Wally West also. Any playful character with guile. He'd have been perfect for Hal Jordan if not for the requirements being older.
