Well WB has changed the name of Birds of Prey to Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey.

Now they know they messed up BIG TIME. This studio sef ehn at times behave confused.

Lets see if this helps.

Well, she's a producer of the movie. And The writer Hodgson is female, Director Cathy Yan is also female. Main Cast also female except for a few males Ewan McGregor etc.

So it's portrayed in a less "Male gaze-y" look cos it's mainly produced by females.

And NO, Harley's main fans are Females mostly teens. The R rating kinda hurt that demographic.

They messed up with that Title putting Harley Quinn's name at the tail end, when all the marketing was focused on her. Instead of it as main title.

Besides she didn't want any female cast that would have outshine her in the movie that's why you see less recognizable names in cast except maybe Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

Why can't she sell a Ticket, she's an A Lister and incredibly popular. She's a big influencer. And her stock is fast rising, Evidently this film will prove if she's a Box office Pull.

Yep, most of her roles were supporting but she's been on the Rise ever since.

Nope, Will Smith wasn't really the Star Power. It was a stacked film, Team movie. Infact, the Box office/ Audience draw was Jared Leto's Joker. And partly due to Harley Quinn also, first time in a live action and the first time Joker was together with his "Girlfriend".
Margot Robbie's Harley even STOLE the show in that movie, she was the singularly good thing out of that Movie. That's also why she's the Producer of this Film.

Yep, she's not there yet in comparison to Jolie.

And NO, China wasn't in the grand scheme of things at all. It's R rated and won't be shown there same as first Suicide Squad and Joker. Infact Suicide Squad would have easily made a Billion if it showed in China.

Yes, Coronavirus is also Affecting it's gross in Asia especially South Korea, Hong Kong cos peeps have been indoors.

Pretty funny coming from Variety, they just trying to make DC films look Bad. Too bad it ain't working. It's mostly DC fans especially the hardcore Superman and Batman fandoms that are to blame for this films poor output cos they only love seeing their Beloved characters over and over again. That's why they didn't support it. Also WB shitty marketing with wokeness and killing Joker— that didn't go down well with Batfans.

FYI, how do they expect Birds of Prey to top any of the DCEU films? That's stupid reasoning actually. It was never going to Top any of them even without disappointing: Man of Steel, Batman vs Superman, Suicide Squad, Justice League, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Shazam.

Even Aquaman when it came out had the Lowest opening weekend for the DCEU yet it's the Highest grossing of all. Almost even surpassing The Dark Knight Rises highest grossing of any DC Film. Same media was screaming lowest lowest then, at the END they all shut it when Aquaman SWAM its way to A BILLION.

Toy Story 4 was interesting, but I still find TS 1 and 3 the best in the franchise. I was also rooting for Klaus, followed closely by Missing Link.

I still believe Klaus was better though. Toy story 4 follows the same formula as other Toy story. Yeah, it was told in an interesting way. However, Klaus brought a refreshing and heart-warming story about Santa Claus.

I also actually preferred Klaus but Toy Story 4 was pretty solid too.

Not much complaints to make on this Winners. The only Gripe I could find is The Irishman not winning Anything. Especially Best Supporting Actor to Al Pacino.

Infact I strongly think that the movie is so good that a new category ought to be created in its honour.

For those of you saying Black Panther was nominated for the Best Picture a year ago, you do know that it only got nominated out of sentiments and political bias.

If The Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises could be sacrilegiously ignored by The Academy those years for Best Picture, there is absolutely no way Black Panther stood a chance with it's Average Storyline. These Movies were what paved the way for comic book Movies today to become relevant in Awards season as the Oscars adjusted a bit after the Backlash on ignoring The Dark Knight for Best Picture.

It was merely just nominated to appreciate how Iconic the movie was and it's portrayal of the African Race as a unique, smart and technological advanced People. It was MORE of Racial card Politics than TRULY artistic GENIUS.

How many times has Lord of the Rings been adapted? How times has Black panther or even Spiderman been adapted? Not withstanding the Parasite is still a superior movie to both Endgame stood a better chance than both movies to Parasite and even endgame fell short..movie is so much much more, not just the story, the way the story is been told and how the characters interpret the story and the message it is trying to pass.

I get it, some movie to me sometimes will be damned boring and make absolute no sense to me at times and i will wonder why people like them, but after every rewatch things start to unravel. So many people share this view of yours that parasite isn't worth the hype but i bet you will find more people who will praise the movie to the high heavens for the gem it is for years to come.

Oscar bias... probably...i for one hav been paying less and less attention to oscar as the year goes by..i mean they gave Cate Blanchett an oscar for Blue Jasmine? That made absolutely zero sense to me...But for this year THEY GOT IT right. The only issue i had was Renée Zellweger as best actress for "Judy"? I will have to see that properly to judge...but the other categories was spot on and the awards were kinda spread round... Parasite, Marriage Story, Jojo Rabbit, Joker, Ford vs Ferrari, once upon a time in Hollywood...This were the best movies of 2019.

I never for once have an iota of doubt about Joaquin Phoenix  winning the Oscars for best actor in a leading role, he truly deserved it, & am glad he got it.
A big Congrats to Parasite, it was basically on fire at the Oscars.
FORD V FERRARI kinda won everything under editing.
While visuals,sound mixing and cinematography was taken by 1917.
At least, JOJO RABBIT won Adapted screenplay, that's quite ok.
