here's anoda speed test
if ur a heavy uploader i'm not sure it's going to be possible here
uploading any post(with attachmets of up to 200KB) take me a few seconds(4-6) and i've done video calls to my sister in the US and it dosen't lag atall (most times)
anyway for people like me who rearly upload anythin its good enough

i'm using mtn and i get at least 100KB/s(the 3GB limit is a real problem)
dat screen shot is as rear as dey get
we dont have adsl here
everything is wireless and so u can't really expect the speeds to compare with adsl
as for latency the minimum you can get is 200ms
this screen shot is a more common speed

and wate 10grand
i'll take my chances instead

dude ur right cuz there's no way someone can get 8mbps on a network who's maximum is 7.2mbps(dat was with mtn)
though it has to be preety high to fluke up to 8 maybe it was 6 or 7mbps  (remember i'm the one dat posted dat speed)
i've seen it show 540kbps wen the starcomms icon showed a peak o 500kps so i think there's always an error which gets bigger as the speed increases
but, mehn this guy(the guy i borrowed the mtn modem from) has taken a lot of speed tests
jst take look at page one(all of them r 2mbps+)
i've downloaded well over 1gig since yesterday(i don't know how i'll break it to my friend)

dis is not even a competition, its a slaughter

as for mine its a intel core 2 duo processor T5800 @ 2.0 GHz
2GB DDR2 ram not to mention the 800 MHz fsb plus 2MB L2 cache
250 GB HDD

btw. did you notice dat the guy has taken more than 2500 tests
remember that we're seeing 8Mbps=1MB/s dats 1GB in about 17mins (correct me if i'm wrong)
its the E170 modem (beautifu"ll" cant wait till it's past 12am mehn!!)

i borrowed a friends mtn modem and see one of his speed tests
i didn't even know dis was possible
believe me wen i say dis is real
wat am i doing wit starcomms
i am shocked beyond compare (i am still shouting at the top of my voice)

im using starcomms evdo and the latency gets as low as 198ms(neva above 300ms)
also the upload gets up to 550kbps(avg 400kbps) which is ok for any upolading weda its online gaming or emails
and the download hardly goes below 350kbps
as for now dats as good as it gets
and cuz i pay for the 250hrs it like payig N5000 per month as long as you keep it for three months.
ofcourse yo have to be in a good location (i'm in lekki)

i think starcomms placed their base station dere(mushin) mistakenly cuz its clear dat deres no one is using it
they should remove it from there and place it next to my house
and i'll make sure it neva goes to waste

o yeah, 4got to mention dat the latency is reduced from <900ms to <200
which makes online gaming more practical

i'm in lekki for now
and ayone who has really read about evdo will know dat it's only rev a dat can upload at dat speed (rev o is up to 144kbps while rev a is up to 1.8mbps)and its rev o in ph(my ususall location)
can't wait till it's 2am so i can see wat it can do (remember rev a downlaod is up to 3.1mbps, rev o is 2.4mbps)

you are free to try it just make sure you post the screen shots(nomatter how bad they are )
