Don't know whose thread I should pick here or respond to but generally speaking, most ladies take it for granted when they have a single young smart guy tending to their little details every time, what I mean is that, when you are with a woman and you love her like no other person, even when you treat her right, maybe its a syndrome now, but they actually believe you are too good to be true and then try seeking whats not lost in the first place, then come running back begging (dats a personal experience). Av got female cousins in the US who'd rather not marry in the US but Naija, and they still get their fingers burnt in the end. So, eff location, focus on getting the love of your life, God will drive the person towards you, prayers allow you the inner ability to mark and identify the right guy. Just don't choke him.

I get what you're saying and I'd never take a good Nigerian man for granted. I don't do anything to a man that I wouldn't want done to me. Its just that since there is such a huge Nigerian community in the UK, I tend to feel more at ease with things compared to here. Sometimes if I meet a Nigerian guy here [in the New York] it kinda feels like they don't embrace their Nigerian heritage, which kinda breaks my heart.

I never said I'd give up on the idea of finding a "quality" Nigerian man in the US, its just that based on my experiences which UK based Nigerians and US based Nigerians, they seem different. There are rubbish Nigerian guys in the UK as well, but I've never encountered any.

Yes, its still cheating, even when it someone of the same sex. If you and I were dating, what would make it ok for me to kiss a woman but not ok to kiss a man? Or what would make it ok for you to kiss a man and not ok to kiss a woman? There's no difference. Either way, your still stepping outside of that relationship, therefore its cheating.

Maybe it is just me, but on my side of the world( USA) it seems that these days there are a lack of single, quality, honest Nigerian men out there!! A lot of men will say the same for us women as well!!!  The problem seems to be that there is not a lack of quantity these days, but truly of quality.  Maybe I am looking in the wrong place, but my question is where are they hiding, or do they no longer exist!! Will one have to settle in 2010?  Lets get the dialogue started!
