BusinessRe: N100 Monthly Charge On First-Bank ATM Withdrawals by innason(m): 9:48am On Mar 05, 2013
i think a detailed explanation is needed here. The charge is for using your ATM card in a given month, and it is a one off charge per month. First bank is not the only Bank that has started charging. At the long run all Banks will introduce one or two means of recouping the amount expended in cash movement and loading of this ATMs.

Mainstreet, Sterling (ETB) even FirstBank have been sacking in droves. God, we need your help in this country...nothing seems to be working. The economy is not growing yet the management keeps giving crazy targets....God, we need you!

My man do you any body that lost his job @ first bank? if you do call them and ask them how many years they have worked in that organization and how much they collected as severance pay. Please do your home work well before making a post.

hello all. Entry level pay in FBN is in the range of 132k-143k depending on your location. you recieve over 280k for your housing, almost the same for leave and over 230k for performance pay. confirmation is exactly a year.As for HND/Degree discrimination there is none at all.

PoliticsRe: Okonju Iweala Responds To Wikileaks Scandal by innason(m): 2:05pm On Sep 11, 2011
the debt deal was done and Nigeria got the debt cancellation certificate. so what if there was a commission on the deal? if it was the best options of all the tenderrs for the job which suites the Nigerian economy so why wont we do the deal? we should only be indicting the minister if the deal was not well done or if the agenda on the deal was not met. I know of some governors who have awarded road projects to their personal companies and these companies perform. so what? her own case is 'akamu' For me if the job is done in favour of the country, the economy, and the Nigerian populace the pipe player deserves his wages.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Testimonies Of Graduates With 2.2 And Below And How They Made It. by innason(m): 11:41pm On Sep 04, 2011
the worst part in my 2.2 story was that i was amongst the best in class. My problem started with the school that i went thru.the school was so bad that to pass a course you either had the text of the course or you repeat the course. for some of us whose parents manged to get our school fees the books where more hurdles to cross. The terrible part equally was the way lecturers of 3point and 4 point courses collect sorting money.cumulatively these lead to my finishing with a 2.2 (3.45). But i followed on with the believe that i was good and went ahead in search of a good job. when my mates where looking for jobs in the small time manufacturing companies that pay 30-40k,i went on for the big league jobs banks, consulting firms etc. I didn't give up and today God has blessed my diligence and hard work,i work with the biggest and strongest bank in Nigeria today ,and i am very comfortable.

PoliticsRe: Police Arrest 50 Suspects In Connection With UN House Bombing by innason(m): 10:08pm On Aug 30, 2011
i feel for this nation. i hear about other nations where inefficiency traceable to a minister, head of a corporation or president immediately leads to his resignation. How can the current inspector general of police take care of this mess when his own house was bombed. What manner of assurance does he have for Nigerians when he can not secure his base. For me our leaders are not yet ready to take on this issue when they are we will know.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Police Recruitment: 2nd Class Upper Holder Disqualified For Speaking Bad English by innason(m): 6:33pm On Aug 26, 2011
what else do you expect when our stupid lecturers go ahead to collect bribe from student for scores. it is not only that they pass unserious students they equally fail deserving student because these students, though they passed, did not bribe them or buy their books. The government should make it mandatory that a unit in charge of such offence be created in all our schools then the trend may reduce.
BusinessRe: A Brazilian Company Offers To Buy PHCN For $100 Billion by innason(m): 6:21pm On Aug 26, 2011

BusinessRe: CAN Plans Christian Banking After Swedish Model by innason(m): 6:04pm On Aug 26, 2011
if i understand what the CAN man is saying he said that the funds being used in this project should equally be used in that of the christain bank when it comes up. I dont think we are still in the talk if islamic or non-interest banking should come on-board or not, but dat govt fund shd not be involve . I am in banking, and sincerely i dont mind the non interest banking model. but i do fault the use of the nations fund in any way to aid the coming of the bank. Here we have three banks going down under the hammer of same CBN.These bank are going down cos Government wants back the money it sinked in them. The same policy be followed in this issue dont invest government money in this new Bank too. Non interest banking is another model of banking. We need to practice it first before we really understand the model. I bet you some of us posting their readiness for this model do not even understand that non-interest banking is not only for islams but for all. It is mainly an investment bank. Kindly check out the details of this banks and stop killing your selves. After all the coming of sharia did not make zamfara to be free of christains.

i think the nigerian film industry is really kicking it up. but we can do more. have you watched any film from the ghanian movie arena of recent? they are really setting the pace.
PoliticsRe: 166 Indigenous Firms To Invest N1.5tn In Economy by innason(m): 6:59am On Aug 24, 2011
I agree these are all paper talk, dreams and more dreams. Let the government start the economic reform by dragging foriegn investment flow like obj's administration. Not with the likes of dangote and co. There are still enough investment that can be lured into nigeria if we put things in place.
EducationRe: Imo To Give Free Education To Northern Muslims’ Children by innason(m): 7:13pm On Aug 23, 2011
this governor is really becoming the worst kind of opportunist politician i have ever seen. imagine based on the same fact that the state had not enuf resources to pay salaries to the over 8000 recruits, he suspended the programme making the various graduates who wasted money, time and resources to go back to their homes without any form of compensation. some even travelled from lagos back home and hired houses all for the job they believe they got from the state government.instead of this governor to look into ways of compensating these people he goes about with a visionless manifesto free kerosene ,free education to almajiri and co. his aim is to bribe the northerners for a shot at the president come 2015. lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed
PoliticsRe: Nigeria PDP David Mark And Chime Sulivan-Are worthy leaders for the future(2015) by innason(m): 1:05pm On Aug 20, 2011
I really do not understand where Nigeria is really getting to. I think the many years of military rule has made us unaware of what is happening in other developing nation. The height of our political mistakes in this nation can equally be blamed. Please for development sake good governance is not about building roads and getting street lights on. What about the un-employment rate, social welfare development. Today the enugu state university of science and technology is among the highest paying institution in the east for a state that does not have any other developing sector than education i believe this is not a good line. The social problem that could be associated with this could include students prostituting just to make their school fees, male students could end up in cyber crimes or armed robbery. The government has not deemed it fit to look into other areas of generating wealth for the state so as to invest in the educational sector. Abeg o i don't think Nigeria needs a road building president what we need is a president with an economy recovery plan. as for the senate president , he has no plan for this nation. infact he is not a president material.Take it or leave it.
CrimeRe: Kidnap Of Mikel's Father Makes Mockery Of Naija by innason(m): 6:21pm On Aug 18, 2011
for me,it's a spite not only on the face of the country but equally on our government. this is a clear indication that some tangible form of progress in our nation is seriously needed.
PoliticsRe: Governor Jang Appoints Son As Special Adviser. by innason(m): 10:53am On Aug 14, 2011
let us be mindful of bad precedence. where such continue in migeria i would not be surprise to see a governor appoint his whole family as commissioners forming his cabinet with wife, and children. Abeg no matter how bad this country has become we can only start making alot progress when we call a spade a spade. abeg the thing does not sound right.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Sterling Bank Vs Uba by innason(m): 9:04pm On Aug 03, 2011
i dont have any idea on the pay pack nor on the welfare package of these two banks but with my experience in the banking industry, as a staff of First bank (the big one) i can tell you that you can never compare UBA with sterling bank. There is no yard stick for that. UBA is better than sterling by far.Things may be hard as an experience hire who is joining either of the banks from another place but certainly not the entry level staffs. Marketing in UBA can equally not be better in sterling. Abeg dont mind the critics join UBA you have more prospects there than sterling.
PoliticsRe: I Don't Believe The Problem With Nigeria Is Our Leaders by innason(m): 1:27pm On Feb 26, 2009
If our Leaders who have access to Government are not responsible for the cankerworm in the society, then they still have the influence and power to set things right. If Yaradua would today with his fellow mates in his party turn arround today and decide to run a true transparent and straight to the point Government i assure you Nigeria would be Great.
The test of a true leader is being demonstrated in America where the coming of Obama is generating alot of waves not only in America but also in the World.Believe me leadership does count. Our leaders are without direction full stop.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Firstbank by innason(m): 5:56pm On Jul 25, 2008
I presently roll with firstbank and i know athoritatively that entry level is 104k-100k.Therefore would-be transaction officers could take home as much as 60k-80k.And thats not all.On confirmation you take a big block of money home.Leave also inclusive not to talk of housing.Apart from the money aspect lets look at the growth aspect. My man who is in the financing industry can not move as fast on the ladder than those of us in the banking industry. The industry is expanding and therefore more hands are continually needed.I think to progress in this forum men should find out the facts before blowing. As for the interview on firstbank i think that is a lie.The bank just accepted the cvs and ve not called for test yet.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Bankphb Interview Format by innason(m): 5:44pm On Jul 25, 2008
Bankphb is a marketing bank therefore to pass the interview you would require to give a good list of what you can do for them.As you say these things dont relate things for which any common nigeria can do .ie smart e.tc.Also give a good account of your family background. If yours aint good make a good presentation of it.Overall be confident.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Celtel Call Center Or First Bank? by innason(m): 5:08pm On Aug 08, 2007
i am presently doing my training with firstbank and i think firstbank would do you good, career- wise but if you want money celtel is it.But on the long run your progress in firstbank might be faster.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Bank Phb Interview Aftermath? by innason(m): 6:33pm On Aug 05, 2007
I also did the interview in PH,though presently am training with firstbank. With what Emma said that day i guesed that the bank was not in a hurry.firstly they have one training centre and the people in lagos whom we did the test before, are awaiting training calls while we are supposed to wait for another interview call with the managing director. So i quickly made up my mind and joined firstbank.Though i guese they will call very soon as the so called branches are at their finishing stage.Good luck.
