Although you need to show academic profession when applying for further studies in the UK. However, since you are changing career they might consider ur application.

The other drawback will be the fact that u are not allowed dependents as an undergraduate

I think the bolded applies only when you are applying from within the UK

According to the rules, you are not demonstrating academic progression mainly 'cos you don do PGD for SHU. If to say na only BSc you get, you for stand a chance. Either try a higher level masters or PhD

Pretty sure you don't need to show academic progression if you are applying outside the UK

The address shouldn’t matter on the form – when you fill in the visa form, put the correct address and in the notes section at the end of the visa application, put a note to explain the TB certificate has the wrong address and your new UK address is in the application form

Hello everyone, Gurus in the house. Firstly, please I'd like to ask if I should be worried about the UK address on my TB Certificate. Here's the thing, I did the TB test in August while I wasn't sure which University offer I will be accepting ( I have a couple of offers from different universities). So I have just decided to go with an offer from a Uni. in Cardiff but my TB certificate does not carry this University's address but my previous flat address in Scotland. I hope this is not a problem when applying for my visa?

Secondly, can I use the bank statement that was printed 3 weeks ago in applying for TIER 4 VISA? (I still have my maintenance funds and all intact in the account). I and my family will be applying together, and these are the documents that I am planning to submit with my application;

DOCUMENTS LISTED ON MY CAS
BANK STATEMENT
KIDS BIRTH CERT.
MARRIAGE CERT. & WIFE'S CHANGE OF NAME ADVERT.
PASSPORTS

Don't waste your money or bother changing the address. IT DOES NOT MATTER. Mine had a different address because I changed my Tier 4 sponsor along the line and I got my visa with no issues!

It wasn't in my case - the first thing the person behind the counter asked for was the BRP letter and that was what they used to bring it out, [i]before [/i]asking to see a passport.

Did you get an email that your BRP has been sent to the post office or did you just show up there? Did the principal applicant also collect from the post office or Uni?

Parent 1 prints the consent letter, signs their portion and scans it over to parent 2 to print out then sign

You mean the dependants are making their applications less than 2 weeks barely after the main applicant's arrival in the UK? I think y'all should let him settle down before applying so it doesn't look like you're trying to beat the system.

That's a new one and rather harsh. There might be more to the issue than your friend is telling you.
Sorry no idea of how to unblock an account, but I'm aware a CAS once used becomes invalid for reuse, so if it is withdrawn, so might the visa. I just wonder how this was allowed to happen?

Hi, please i am asking for a friend its very urgent. She has 2 siblings an elder sister who is currently in the uk and her brother who applied with her to solent university in the uk. The brother left for the uk 2 days ago as he was granted visa. She was to leave for the uk until her school emailed her and withdrew her cas because the other part of the balance 3000 pounds hasn't still reflected and this money was paid from her sisters account who is in the uk and she uses Barclays. Apparently her account was blocked when she made the 3k payment reason being that there has been a high influx of money into and out of the account due to the fact that she also paid her brother's fees. Please people with experience whats the work around her getting her account unblocked and is there a fast way to do this ?

You mean examples?

PWC for instance has a graduate scheme you can apply to even if you're not an accountancy/finance graduate. BT, Openreach and a lot of even less known companies who are also Tier 2 sponsors do offer these graduate jobs. Just apply early and attend your schools' career fairs - the recruitments start at the beginning of the session and lot of Nigerian students skip these events and are busy looking for survival jobs when the main goal should be securing graduate jobs for tier2 sponsorship immediately after you land.

That's fine. They won't contact you to top up, they'll just issue your dependent's visa short of yours by 4 months. Which is OK anyways.

By graduate jobs, I mean jobs offered specifically by organizations (most of them Tier 2 sponsors) to UK university graduates. These companies recruit students specifically to work after graduation and the qualifications are usually not industry or degree specific because the training is actually part of the job. It is usually very competitive though but there's a method to it.

People recommend social work because it's relatively easy to get jobs in, same as nursing and health related fields, but there are a lot of jobs that are not industry specific, again, there's a method to it. You just need to keep an open mind and willingness to work in any field.

You can try LLM Corporate Governance gradCG, It is accredited by the Chartered Governance Institute for company secretaries and offered at Portsmouth, Lincoln, Ulster and Ulaw (with caution) With that you have your Masters in law and corporate governance, and a company secretary qualification all in one. You can work in compliance or governance which are also good careers that are not degree specific.

Depends on if you intend to return to your home country and what you want to use the LLM for in the UK. You definitely cannot practice law with it in the UK so that might be the basis of the advice against a general LLM. However, there are A LOT of other graduate jobs that you are just as eligible as any other graduate for once you meet the basic requirements.

Is it Ulaw that you're considering?

I assume if however, you add 4 months to your 1 year course end date, then your Dependent's visa will expire on the same date as yours and you pay the same ihs ie for your course duration and additional 4 months.

Help please.
I am filling my Visa application at the moment.
The issue is,I renewed my passport but the old one has not expired.
I was wrongly advised by the agent to renew it,I it,I didn't know that if it has 6 months validity its still valid.
My old passport has up to 2 years validity.
So the issue now is,my CAS was issued using my new passport number so automatically it's what I should fill during my visa application ,but my old passport has my travel history to South Africa.
My question is,if I declare my travel history to SA I would need to upload my old unexpired passport right?
Is there any negative effect of having an old unexpired passport and a new passport.

Please help,its bugging me so much I cant sleep.

There's a portion where it is asked if you have other previous passports, state the old passport number, declare the South African visa, scan both and upload when submitting your application.

Note: This advice is on the assumption that you have nothing to hide in the old passport?

Very true. If after the TB certificate has been issued, and you changed your mind on the school, you will pay 8500 at the TB center to effect the changes. My own case is slightly different from yours, the school i applied to I haven’t gotten admission and I still proceeded to do the test with the school address now should in case the school disappoint I would have to pay to effect the changes that was the information I got from a staff.

No you wouldn't need to effect any change on the certificate for that reason

Doesn't seem the school named matters. My Tier 4 sponsor is a different school than the one on my TB certificate and got my visa

Yes, anyone traveling to the UK for an extended period of time will require a TB test certificate. For under 11s though, they will not undergo the chest xray and will thus pay less for the test.

Woah! That's quite a huge difference, unfortunately, there is no way you can pay for a flight except with a dollar debit card or you find someone abroad to pay for you. The fares will keep rising especially as it nears your intended travel date.

Why return tho?

At the point of entry, I was asked which school, course, is husby planning to stay( he answered no but went further to explain that he needs to be there to help with our accommodation and school for the kids. He said he plans to be on and off) . He was asked how long he intends staying and hubby said about a month to 6 weeks. Depending on covid.

It is not specific to students, but you will find it very helpful. It is a long thread, but I suggest you to read through, would be a good use of time during isolation.

Only a dollar denominated bankcard will work because of the limit. Gtbank increased limit to $200 but still not sufficient.

Have you tried to book the BA flight through Wakanow? Don't know what dates you're looking at, but looks like it's pretty much the same fare at the moment.

I paid mine and dependants visa fees and ihs with paga verve while my upgrade was 95% complete. I just took a gamble after waiting a couple of days for the upgrade to complete. Please go ahead and make the payment, I believe it should be fine.

You want us to believe it was an "agent" that led you into your present situation, yet you are here seeking out another agent to help you perfect an illegalty?

I don't think you have learnt any lessons and I suspect you will continue in this way as long as you possibly can.

My advice is for you to realize that you made a grave mistake and not continue to sink yourself deeper in dishonesty. You can stop it now before it is too late.

I believe in second chances and if you don't continue to seek to cheat systems, you can legally get into other countries.
