Apparently you can’t change after that.
But seriously tho, why does it cost £55 to use VI?

OK. Thank you. I would go right ahead too!

Nope.Dependants application is quite different, from their applicant, they will fill in who they are accompanying or joining in the UK, your GWF number, Int. Passport number, relationship and so on. Main applicant pay IHS with his/her application while all dependants do same on their own application.
Are you saying nope, you didn't get the message in attached screenshot that "you do not have dependants" please? I understand that the dependants application is different and the main applicant's details would be given in the depandants application, I'm just wondering why the site is asking to confirm that the details are correct that there are no dependants?
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by inphoenix: 5:10am On Sep 05, 2020
One other thing please, did your IHS summary page indicate that "you don't have any dependants", even though you answered "yes" to traveling with dependants in your visa application form?

solarinde:
CAS does not need to reflect dependants as schools are mainly concerned about the main applicant. My CAS does not include my dependants, but I uploaded my CAS with their supporting documents during visa application.

To those who applied with dependants, please did your CAS document reflect you would be traveling with dependants? If yes, did it include any of your dependant details please?

There's a way out not mentioned in the email. If you have not paid up your tuition, you could pay an additional amount towards that. That way you avoid having to wait a further 28 days

Hello house,

I am not sure what is happening I need advice.

I just got an email from my school that the course I was admitted to has been suspended ( mind you I have already paid 4000 pounds and in process of applying for CAS). Though I was offered another course which to me is not a problem.

In the new admission letter it was stated that the course will be conducted ONLINE, and that induction and welcome will be on campus.

Please I am a bit worried, is this not going to be an issue when I finally apply for my visa?

I am thinking of applying to a new school at the moment.

Please I have a HND should anyone with info on schools I can apply to for Masters or PG program in Finance, Accounting or Bus Admin, do send me link.

Thank you very much and good luck to everyone.
What school is this?

Thank you.

I doubt if it’s applicable in uk but I’ll leave the question for the seniors in the house to respond.
Wouldn't mind others' inputs as well, but @nomad26 seems pretty sure it's pointless, no need to take the plunge if that's the case. It's a bit stressful to get to be honest, processed only in Abuja, and at 12k naira

Paid for my one year old separately with his details

I couldn’t use the link cos it was telling me I had a pending application so I registered on the test day, they registered me themselves.
Was thinking along this line of action too, but payment has already been done together as suggested by @hubbysluv.

Thanks for the input!

I paid everything together. You the applicant will fill the form on that link and confirm your appointment.
After completing the online link, send your ID and payment receipt to the email provided and you will get acknowledgment mail.
On the appointment day, tell them you came with family, they know how to work it out
OK, thank you

Hello everyone, first post on this thread even though I've been following through from the very first page. Great job everyone is doing here!

I have a question on this driving topic please... of what use is a Driver's Abstract from FRSC in the UK for insurance and maybe licensing purposes? I'm aware that for Canada migrants, your Abstract is reckoned in determining your driving history and is useful to reduce insurance premium payable. I would like to know if this could apply in the UK as well? Tx

Please has anyone attended IOM for TB test with under 11 Dependants?

1. Did you pay test fees en block or paid for principal applicant separately? I'm asking because the guidance on registering says only the principal applicant should complete the registration link while others will be registered during the test.

2. After completing the registration link, did you get a confirmation email or anything indicating your user name and password details? Asking in this case because immediately after filling out the online registration form and suggesting a security question, was redirected to a login home page asking for username and password.

Can anyone share their experience in this regard please? Thanks

Hello house,
I'm sorry if I sound like a novice but I really want someone to enlighten me about this UK tier 4 visa thing:
My wife intends to study for a one year Msc in the UK by September and want to stay back after studies leveraging on PSW.
The plan is to check on her during studies and probably fully settle down with her after studies.
But I just get to know we can go together, and that one person will be a dependent.....
If we want to go together, how much are we expected to have in our account after paying her school fees to have our Visa approved.
Someone should help on how this works.

Thanks
1. She can go ahead of you while you visit during the course of her study. You however cannot work on a visit visa and will not be allowed to stay for extended periods.
2. You can go with her as a dependant in which case you are entitled to work full time as a dependant while she is restricted to just 20 hours weekly as a student
3. To go together, you need:
i. Full Tuition (or balance of tuition after paying deposit)
ii. Maintenance funds for 9 months for the principal applicant (ie total of £11,385 if living in London/£9,135 outside London) and for each dependent (£7,605 for London/ £6,120 outside London)
These funds must be in your account for a minimum of 28days before you apply for the visa and must continue to be available to you towards your stay in the UK

Other costs to prepare for:
iii. Immigration health surcharge of £450 per visa applicant for ostensibly 1 year course. Note that this is to increase in October.
iv. Visa fees of £348 per applicant
v. You'll also need to undergo a Tuberculosis testing at either of the designated IOM centers in Lagos and Abuja at $150 or $60 (over and under 11 years old respectively)

Hope this helps. Cheers

Oh well...

I'm following 2 other UK threads, and this is the only toxic one, mostly coming from the Skymoore1004 lady. It's just too bad! This thread is fast becoming a very crucial one because of the prospects of the Tier 4 visa and guidance is required to put people through, but with all the bashing and outright rudeness... it's just so sad and could be a turn off.

Please let's be kind to one another.

toyclicks:
I quite agree with you

Few pages ago, I had to do myself a lot of control not to react as I concluded it wasn't worth it

The fact that everybody is behind their screens and its a faceless community is not a reason to talk to people anyhow.

One could easily decipher the maturity of the mind of individuals on the forum by thier way of response.

The most unfortunate thing is that, as helpful as this thread is, I know their are a lot of people observing this thread in the background and with relevant concerns they would like to air but they keep it to themselves after observing how ppl have been bashed *on this thread*

At least, for what I know, in class, you are encouraged to air your probing thought no matter how STUPID it is.

I am sure everyone here won't be here if not that they are on an important quest

I've been silent on this thread and noticed how insolent you are. I'm not even referring to this incident where you purposely incited the guy who got abusive and got rightly banned. You deserve a strike too for always courting controversy and that's contrary to aspects of rule 2 of this forum.

I'm following a couple of nairaland threads and all are generally convivial with people sharing information and ideas, but this particular thread is not so and it usually revolves around your condescending approach towards people you don't even know. It's not the right approach to life! I'm just saying.

I submitted my application online and made payment on the 11th of April. Created a TLS account same day but I wasn't able to get a sooner free date, the closest was 24th April and its a premium lounge appointment. I've been trying to upload my documents since downloading the app but it's deleted my documents twice now. I'll try to do it on my laptop as suggested. Thank you

Hello everyone
Can someone please help out. I've been trying to upload my documents on the edossier app. I discovered that after uploading a number of documents the uploads disappear before I finish the upload and submit. This has made me to have to re-upload all over again, it has happened twice now. My submission date is on the 24th and there's a notice to ensure all documents are uploaded 24 hours before. Has anyone else experienced this disappearing uploads and how can I resolve it please?

Thank you @justwise.

So good to still have you here after so many years. Always wonder why you remain so consistent and ever so helpful.

I've been been to the UK four times now since my first refusal way back in 2013. I'm usually silent here but I keep coming here and each time learn from your advice which is always apt and has been invaluable to me and I'm sure a host of others too. God bless you

I'm applying for a 2 years visa this time around. My understanding is that I don't have to wait for the current visa to expire before I do.

Thanks

Hello nairalanders.
Quick question please... I have a UK visa valid till 28th May and I need to travel to the UK from the 19th May to leave at end of the month (say 31st May)
My question is, can I apply before the expiration of my current visa?
Thanks

I did not deposit huge amount in my account and wish to reapply and point out the ECO's error like you said. But want to know if reapplying immediately won't be a sign of desperation.

2. Moreover, If I decide to reapply immediately, should I submit same leave/introduction letter (02/10/17 to 31/10/17) or get another one with new dates.
Thank you.
Check your email, I replied your PM.

I "asterisked" the part in your cover letter where you mentioned collecting rent. Did you state that you have additional income/side job in your application ni? Be careful of inconsistencies o!

I also noticed you mentioned having a family. Ensure that you include birth certificate and marriage certificate too.

Please endeavour to feed us back here. I am hopeful you'll get the visa this time. Good luck!
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by inphoenix: 1:48pm On Oct 17, 2017

My understanding is to try to include proof of facts stated in an application, that's why I suggested that for your grandma

1. I don't live in the U.K. so I have no idea of the cost of living or how much will be ok for sponsorship. I reckon it'd be high sha, given that there's 2 of them. Maybe Justwise, ekpotek and Brightingus can help here.

P.S. Must they both visit together tho'?

2. Include a copy of your visa, your bank statement, marriage certificate and those bills. Remember your folks will need hard copies ( i.e. print out) of all your documents to take along with their own documents to the submission appointment.

3. You mean you want them to submit separately, as in different appointments? Since they must fill separate application forms, they can of course submit separately, but I don't think I understand why you want them to do that? They'd still trace both applications to you as their sponsor anyways. Let them submit together joooor. Include their marriage certificate too.

4. Include dad's property documents

5. This settles the grandma issue. Your sibs staying with her while your parents are away is perfect. No need for documents on where they'll stay (what would those docs be sef?), just to state in the cover letter they'll be staying with mum/dad's? mother. Their birth certificate is necessary as proof of them as dependants/ties in Nigeria.

Your friend's mum's refusal is the reason why I said you should EMPHASISE that you're sponsoring them FULLY and the trip is at no cost to them personally. Their bank statements with insufficient funds is at risk of being misconstrued, when it really is just meant to be another proof of home ties (occupation/pension). Make sure they answer "NO COST" to the question of "what is the cost of this trip to you (applicant) personally". Those ECOs can be silly at times. That's why they should be careful in filling out the application forms and include additional information in the space provided or include a detailed cover letter.

If they present a well packaged application, it should be a walk in the park because of their age. Good luck!

PreciousGemRubb:
Hello house, I have questions regarding
1. letter of invitation and letter of sponsorship. Do I need to write both letters seperately?
2. I am inviting my parents so for the cover letter, must they write it separately? I mean one for dad,one for mum.
3.For my dad, he has a salary account (which will now be his pension account) and his personal account. Must he print out 6 months bank statement for both accounts? I send him money using his personal account.
4. For mum, does she need both payslips and tax clearance or just payslips.
5. I will be applying for them from UK, should I use visa4uk or gov.uk
6. For ties back home, my parents care for my grandma and then my siblings are back home and dad needs to sort out his pension. Mum has a job in a government school. I will set the trip date during school holidays.
7. I want to fully sponsor them with £2,500. My hubby (he is in the UK)don't want me to add him to the application as his statement is not really good at the moment. Averagely i get £1,500 per month so is £2,500 too much to state as maintenance fund for them.
8. Reason for the trip- I want them to visit me as I want them to rest from caring for my elderly granny. My siblings and other family members have agreed to stay with grandma for the 2 weeks.
Any other things I need to add...thanks in anticipation.
1. One letter should suffice, just state there that you are inviting and sponsoring as well. Put the 2 as the heading sef.

2. Yes different letters, their circumstances are not the same, one is retired and one still in service. Hopefully they submit as a unit, but advisable they print their documents separately

3. Both, but since you are sponsoring them fully, be sure they fill that in the application forms. If the ECOs spot their account statements, he could ignore your account statement/sponsorship and concentrate on their account statement instead particularly if it isn't well funded to wrongfully justify a refusal

4. Just payslips

5. Either is fine

6. Please have them state all these in their cover letter. Mum would need a letter of introduction from work and possibly the school calendar. Include your siblings birth certificates too especially if they're underage. And documents of landed property if any

7. Depends on how long are they staying and how much would their trip cost you personally. Remember it is full sponsorship which means travel/flight tickets are included. Although, I don't think they are as strict with U.K. resident sponsorship as with self/Nigerian 3rd party sponsorship.

8. Mention alternative care for her in their cover letter(s), but "rest from caring for granny" sha? I dunno about that one o! Lol

Other documents 1. Siblings' birth certificates 2. Mum's Introduction from work 3. Grandma's birth certificate? passport data page? Or hospital card or any document to prove her status 4. Dad's retirement certificate/letter 5. Sponsor's passport data page 6. Sponsor's utility bill 7. Sponsor's bank Statement 8. Sponsor's birth certificate to prove relationship with parents from names 9. Sponsor's birth certificate because of the change of name?

Can't think of any more documents now, there could be more...
