Its Napier Uni. I have completed the online matriculation and was able to access lectures online but they require a copy of the vignette and or BRP latest by 25th of Sept. I have emailed them and await their feedback.
My Uni asked for the same thing. Mail them your documents checklist to show you have a pending visa decision. Aside the most genuine reason of visa delay which is due to no fault of yours, it makes no sense to require physical presence in the UK or anywhere else given the current pandemic.

I did mine on 26th August, got the non straightforward email on 10th September, no other mail for 2nd interview, my schl resumed on 7th September and if by 25th September I don't complete matriculation, i may loose the offer. This wait is quite frustrating and am feeling sick already
..
What Uni are you going? I'm aware enrollment is done online in a lot of these schools. Can you confirm if yours is? I'm almost certain it'll be given the covid situation. I've completed my registration and already started classes despite still awaiting my visa decision.

Find out what obtains in your university and mail them immediately.

TKS VI is extremely slow with applications.
I did on 28th August and still there's no response.
It's really frustrating.
Don't be frustrated please, if UKVI sent a not straight forward mail, it means it'll take a few days longer than the 15 day target. Stay positive and take the time to start packing your dried fish, spices and co grin All will be well!

Thanks for your response.

I don't think it is self service. Because my agent asked me to go along with copies of the document that was listed in my CAS document as well as statement of account. In which case I presume that it is not self service.
You mean you don't even have your appointment print out? Your checklist? My dear, you won't even be allowed into the VAC without these. You'll also be asked for the front page of your application before your documents are scanned

Hello good people of NL. I have come again ooh.

I have my biometric/interview on the 28th.

Meanwhile my visa application was made on the 3rd of September .

Here is my issue ooh: if I recall correctly the balance in my account is meant to be at least 28 days ( though mine is over 2 months now) . That is, the account should be at least 28 days old on the day the visa application was made not on the biometric/interview date.

Here is where I get confused, my agent said I should print a statement that shows the 28 days to be at least two days before my biometric/interview date.

Please is he correct or am I correct?

I am sorry for all my little troubles. Thank you all for your response.
You and this agent!

If you follow his advice as highlighted in bold, you will surely be refused.

The 28 day statement should terminate on the date you submitted your application online ie September 3. In essence, it must show clearly the dates between August 6 and September 3. It can start before August 6 or extend beyond September 3, that is up to you, but those dates highlighted are the ones reckoned with by the UKVI guidelines.

Please house I have an urgent questions.

I have managed to get my agent/sponsor into agreeing to convert my application from standard to priority. You cannot "convert" an application form

My agent just called (through my sponsor) that if he proceeds that the original interview date will change and I may be giving a date in December. Not true

I would like to think that this is not the case. Exactly

I had to send him the step that @mamacajah posted yesterday since he wont give me access to the application platform. This is highly suspicious and exactly why the use of agents is discouraged. Many have received bans due to the antics of these so-called agents.

Please for those that have done it, is it through that the original interview date might change to a date in the future? Not true. All you need do is present yourself on your appointment date and pay for priority. In fact, the tls staff will ask if you want to upgrade to priority

Please it is kind of urgent, my sponsor is waiting for me to confirm if I want to go through with it or not? I just want to be double sure.

Sorry if my question sound like no brainer but given my current circumstance I can't help but to ask and be double sure.

Infact once I get a feedback I will forward it to him.

Thanks for swift response.

@inphoenix Many thanks for your response. I am actually 30 and would turn 31 soon which really affect my score for Express Entry. But personally I will prefer the UK if student job to pay my bills is certain. Currently in Germany right now and student job that will pay your bill is certain here. So I am more concerned if it is very likely to get a student job that will foot my bills.

Thank you
I would assume so, if you will be paying just bills and not including your tuition, although this would also depend on your city and other factors. You may wish to ask about cost of living in this thread https://www.nairaland.com/4158866/living-uk-life-uk-immigrant/383

Hello at all,

My scholarship is fully funded for my Phd which has a duration of 4 years.

The only expense i will be paying for is my flight and accommodation in the UK which costs about GBP650 monthly, the scholarship also comes with a monthly stipend of about GBP1200. I have just completed my visa application form, upon reviewing the documents under the checklist, i realized there was no bank statement of account.

Do i need to add the "bank statement of account" to my documents upon submission since i will be covering my flight expenses only?
My naira closing balance is about N500k (which will definitely cover for my flight).

Thanks at all
No you don't need a statement of account, as long as the sponsorship funds stated in your letter of sponsorship tally up to cover your full tuition (or balance after deposit) and 9 month maintenance. Your sponsorship letter also needs to be in the prescribed format

Meanwhile, seems a bit odd that your checklist would include bank statement if you're sponsored huh angry

Hello People,
Please I am about to choose between Canada(Express Entry) and going for my masters in the UK. I have only got my school fees of about 10,000 pounds. This means I would have to hustle for my feeding, accommodation and other basic needs. I want to enrol for M.Sc in data science and I have over 5 years of experience in the IT industry. Now, my questions are:
1. How easy is it for me to get student job (could be any kind of job just to survive)
2. Cheap cities with easy of getting student jobs
3. Prospect of getting job after M.Sc in Data Science

Many thanks
Depends on what stage of the Canada Express Entry you are - are you in the pool? Do you have a relatively high CRS score? How old are you? etc.

I could list the pros and cons of both options, but not to derail this thread that is dedicated to tier4 hopefuls. However, the bottom line is that Canada Express Entry is cheaper and you'll be getting near citizenship rights from the start, while it'll take at least 5 years to acquire similar rights in the UK.

In my opinion, the only reason for a choice of the UK study option above Canada express Entry is if your CRS score is irredemably low, especially if it is on account of age.

You can check other threads on Canada immigration. You will get more resources there. It is a very critical time here on this thread as we're mostly waiting (anxiously) for decisions on our applications.

Thank you for this .. some people think that UKVI are robots , they are human beings like us , even though the website says otherwise , it’s still up to their discretion to give you visa or not. I am pretty sure some people have submitted bank statements one day less than 28days and they still got their visa.
Never attribute to "discretion" what could very well be an "error", afterall, as you noted, the ECOs are human who make mistakes - which is the only reasonable explanation for why that someone, according to you, could have successfully used a statement "way before" the 28 day maturity.

It has been rightly noted here that the UKVI uses the tickbox approach in decision making, so it is in the applicant's interest to abide by guidelines in order to avoid stories that touch.

Oh dear I had a mini heart attack. So to recap, I submitted my application online September 5th but my account statement reads August 8th to September 6th because I printed out on September 7th ..

am literally crying embarassed
What matters in the 28 day count is the start date (August 8 ) and the online submission date (September 5) That's 28 days dear. It's a close one, but you're covered

Highly doubt this . . .

How is this even possible ?

What would be the date of application?

How will the ECO count back the 28 days of funds being held if your “person” didn’t wait before applying for visa ?
A little far-fetched in my opinion too.

@kinkwin Put your mind at rest as @Lagosismyhome rightly noted, your dates are clear 28 days so no need to worry.

Quick answer: main applicant's and dependants' visas didn't arrive together. Applications were submitted different days in the same week.
Timeline is almost a month, first 10 working days nothing, then activity 3rd week, but because we missed the 2nd interview calls twice (both working from home, no help, active and very bored children, busy, busy, exhausted) it was shifted to the end of a week, visa came out immediately thereafter.
OK, thank you. Congrats once again!

Yes, there is.
Lists the address to which your BRP has been sent and includes some other information.
Keep it carefully, as it's to be presented to the people at immigration on arrival.
Or so it says.
Congratulations! I must have missed your post about your visa approval!!

Quick question please, did the principal applicant and dependants' visas arrive at the same time? How far between were your submission dates?

Care to share your timeline please?

Thank you so much for the quick reply. I checked the checklist and it says they marked that they uploaded "evidence of any correspondence" but it did not actually mention what document(s) that was. This is my confusion! But my question is, do they crosscheck the details on the CAS to ensure they left nothing out (as mentioned on the CAS)
1. They cannot possibly name every single document you provided individually, the documents are grouped and uploaded under subheads eg financial, family, accommodation etc

2. There is no reason to be confused. I reckon you were right there when your documents were being scanned so you would know if any documents were left out.

3. If you indeed presented the documents specified in your CAS for scanning, then rest assured they were uploaded by the TLScontact staff that attended to you. Don't bother your pretty head about "crosschecking" at this point.

You cannot "check" after submission. There's a submission/collection checklist that is printed out for you, the same one you present at the point of collection of your passport. It identifies the documents that were uploaded for you

Good morning house,

I have successfully upgraded to level 3 on Paga.

What is the best way to pay IHS fee of $1900 through Paga.

Thanks for your responses
On the IHS surcharge page you will be requested to fill certain missing details highlighted in red. (make sure that you input the correct details so that the system arrives at the correct surcharge amount)
Once you're done with that, you'll get a summary of IHS surcharge then you will be directed to pay from a range of different platforms. Select paga verve.
On paga verve, you get the option to select to pay with your bank card or from your bank account. I used my bank card details and it was done instantly

I had this same issue. The upgrade wasn't successful for a couple of days so I sent a message to their whatsapp help desk. However, I just decided to try on the third day while still waiting for the upgrade to be effected, lo and behold the transaction went through.

I advise you try it again even with the upgrade pending. Mine went through, yours should too.

O necessary to avoid stress o grin grin grin
There's no need to shout (Caps lock).

If anyone read my initial comment on not exceeding 20 hours and other things (the general advice which I referred to) plus the one in which I explained to the same OP that whatever temporary concessions were made applied only to a particular field, read the attached screenshot and concluded that I was speaking about working anywhere other than what was stated by UKVI, then I don't know what else to say.

Note: fields as used doesn't necessarily mean that the professions existed outside of what was stated by UKVI hence the screenshot.
1. I don't know why you're being defensive. I was not attacking you nor in any way disputing what you said, I was only saying something louder for those in the back

2. Again, there's a very important bit you seem to be missing out completely in all your take on this matter, which I want to reiterate, only jobs within the NHS are exempt. You still have not acknowledged it in all your explanations, apparently not every one has successfully interpreted the guidelines, I just thought to spell it out in plain language. Me I'm not disagreeing with you anyways, I'm just filling in the gaps.

3. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, my people... please please please don't work beyond 20 hours weekly even if you are in any of those fields mimilyrics pointed out o! Except you're working with the NHS!! This note of warning is because I know of someone who lost EVERYTHING because of this sort of honest mistake in interpretation. Don't be misled please! All the best!

Take a deep breath, read my comment again and read the screenshot attached to the comment for context.
Deep breath for what? Ko nessestry o grin. Just sounding a note of warning since judging by the comments I've seen on the issue, it seems like a "general" advice is not sufficient.

I repeat, ONLY STUDENTS EMPLOYED WITH THE NHS in the fields stated can work beyond 20 hours weekly.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by inphoenix: 6:26pm On Sep 11, 2020
mimilyrics:
My advice is general because I don't know if you're qualified to work in the areas for which the 20 hours time limit have been scrapped.
The restrictions lift came in place about 1-2 months ago ( I remember that it was discussed on this thread then) and it still hasn't changed. Are you qualified to work in the fields that are under the exemption for the 20 hours restrictions? If you are, then you're good to go but if you're not, biko just negodu trying to work over 20 hours.
Mimilyrics, it is even not just a matter of the field of work. This exception applies only to students working with the NHS. Again, ONLY THE NHS!
