A Ghanian Pastor has been seen in a live streamed video, carrying out a bizzare crossover ritual for his female church members, Newspremises reports.

The Pastor was seen asking his church members to hurry up and come for the "holy bath". The church members stripped naked and were seen tying towels while being rubbed olive oil by another Pastor after the bath.

The cleric also claimed that he got the directive from above and knows it might cause controversy even though he has no option than to obey the spirit.

Local news platforms in Ghana reported that the Pastor engaged in the ritual to cleanse his members so they will be "holy and pure"'.

Davido's first daughter, Imade Adeleke, has asked her mother, Sophia Momodu, why she isn't the one who gave birth to her half-sister, Hailey Adeleke, Newspremises reports.

Davido shares Imade with Sophia. He shares his second daughter, Hailey, with Amanda, who is based in the US.

For the festive season, Sophia and Amanda visited Ghana with their daughters and the half-sisters reunited.

While spending time together, Imade asked her mother why she isn't also her half-sister's mother.

Sophia Momodu told her daughter that she's Hailey's mother.

But Imade pointed to Amanda and told her mother that that's Hailey's mother.

Sophia responded, telling Imade that Amanda is Hailey's mum and so is she.

"She has two mums," Imade said finally.

The Nigerian men's football team have confirmed the withdrawal of Napoli's Victor Osimhen, Watford's Emmanuel Dennis, Rangers' Leon Balogun and Omonia Nicosia's Shehu Abdullahi from their 28-man squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations to take place January in Cameroon, Newspremises reports.

Super Eagles coach, Austin Eguavoen announced the changes on Friday, December 31 with Olympiacos’ Henry Onyekuru, Venezia's Tyronne Ebuehi, Slavia Prague's Peter Olayinka and West Bromwich Albion's Semi Ajayi replacing the players who were withdrawn.

Osimhen, who arrived Nigeria this week after recovering from a facial injury, tested positive for coronavirus and is in isolation.

Leon Balogun and Abdullahi are not yet physically fit while Watford say Dennis' call-up letter came late from the NFF .

Nigeria face Egypt, Sudan and Guinea-Bissau in Group D.

The team will begin their campaign against Egypt at the Roumde Adjia Stadium on January 11.

The Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II and Olori Silekunola Moronke Naomi have reportedly been reconciled after a meeting between some elders and Naomi's family, Newspremises has learnt.

This claim was made by Prince Eniola Ojajuni, a former Ondo State governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP).

As an indigene of Ondo state, where Olori Naomi is from, Prince took to Facebook to give updates on the Yoruba royal couple's relationship.

He claimed that elders from the Ooni' side (Ile Ife) and elders from Akure, where Olori Naomi is from, met on the evening of Wednesday, Dec. 29, to help reconcile the couple.

He alleged that the meeting held in Akure and that the Olori's mother "asked for forgiveness" on her daughter's behalf.

"Battle is over!" He wrote alongside a photo of the Olori being led to a waiting car by Palace aides and uniformed officials.

He shared another post, welcoming the Olori back to the source (palace).

Despite Prince Eniola Ojajuni's claim that the couple has reconciled, Olori Naomi's post announcing the end of her marriage to the Ooni remains on her Instagram account.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has said they hired Jose Peseiro as the new boss of the national team because of his impressive resume, Newspremises reports.

The Portuguese coach has signed an initial two-year contract and will be at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations as an observer.

Interim coach, Augustine Eguavoen, will still be in charge for the tournament.

Peseiro is believed to come highly recommended by former Manchester United and Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho.

NFF Vice President, Shehu Dikko, says Peseiro’s wealth of experience gave him the edge over other candidates.

“He has coached across the world, in Asia, in Europe, South America, in Africa.

“He has worked with big coaches like (Jose) Mourinho and (Carlos) Queiroz, coached at a big club like Real Madrid, coached big players and small players, coached in the World Cup qualifiers, UEFA Cup, UEFA Champions League and so on.

“He is also well educated, with a masters degree in Sports Science.

“He might not have won anything. But we believe he’ll bring value to our team,” Dikko told ESPN.

Peseiro replaces Gernot Rohr who was dismissed last month.

This came after a lady whose wedding she attended, narrated how she saw a vision of herself going to heaven but started "coming down". She said after another lady asked why she's no longer going to heaven, she heard a voice saying 'her bride price has not been paid which is why she can't go'.

She added that after she woke and told her husband about the vision, he immediately started off the process of paying her bride price and holding their wedding.

Backing the lady, Sister Kate stated that issue of bride price is very serious and can hinder one from getting to heaven even with their religious positions and soul winning campaigns.

John Terry has returned to Chelsea football club just four years after his Stamford Bridge exit, Newspremises reports.

Terry, 41, has embarked on his own coaching journey since leaving west London in 2017, working under former Aston Villa boss Dean Smith for three years in the West Midlands as an assistant coach .

On Wednesday morning, December 29, Chelsea FC announced that the club legend and former England captain has returned to the club and will take up a part-time consultancy role at the club's Cobham training base.

The club said: 'The Blues legend will work with our young players and coaching staff in our youth development programme, sharing the vast experience gained from his 20-year playing career and recent spell as assistant coach at Aston Villa.

'As well as delivering on-field coaching, our former club captain will contribute to coaching discussions with colleagues, mentor Academy players and support parent dialogue. He will begin the role in a part-time capacity at the start of next month.

'This flexibility is beneficial for both John and the Academy, as it allows him to continue to develop his own coaching skills alongside other commitments, while being used optimally within our development programme.'

A man identified as Ejike Peter Egbuna from Anambra state has died two weeks to his church wedding, Newspremises reports.

Ejike and Marycynthia's wedding was set to hold at Holy Family Catholic Church in Agulu, Anambra State on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

According to his colleague, Ejike got involved in a motor accident on December 10, while on the way to retrieve his stolen SIM card.

Sadly, on December 21, Ejike died at the hospital where he had been receiving treatment.

Barcelona have on Tuesday, confirmed the signing of Ferran Torres from Manchester City in a €55million deal, Newspremises reports.

Torres underwent his medicals at Camp Nou on Monday, before putting pen to paper to a five-year contract.

The 21-year-old’s move will however be made official when the winter transfer window opens on January 1.

Torres will then be unveiled as a Barca player at a presentation at Camp Nou on January 3.

“FC Barcelona has reached an agreement with Manchester City for the transfer of Ferran Torres.

“The player has signed a contract for the next five seasons, until 30 June 2027, and his buyout clause has been set at 1,000 million euros,” read Barca’s statement.

Peter and Paul Okoye of Psquare have asked their fans and everyone around the world to forgive them for their split, Newspremises reports.

Recall that Psquare split sometime in 2017 over irreconcilable differences in the family.

However, they got back together weeks ago as they celebrated their 40th birthday in peace.

PSG forward Kylian Mbappe, Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo and Bayern Munich striker, Robert Lewandowski have all bagged awards at the Dubai 2021 Globe Soccer Awards, Newspremises understands.

Mbappe won the Best Men’s Player of the Year at the ceremony on Monday night, December 27 beating six-time winner Cristiano Ronaldo; Lionel Messi, Mohamed Salah, Karim Benzema, and Lewandowski to the award.

The 23-year-old Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star scooped the prize in a ceremony at the Armani Hotel, Dubai.

“It is a big achievement for me. I want to say thank you to my club Paris Saint-Germain, who believed in me these past five years, even better this season,” he said after he was handed the award.

“To my national team; to all the people who nobody knows who work with me, who help me a lot; to my family, they are there with me, always with me.”

"It's a pleasure for me to be in Dubai with these great football legends," Mbappe said. "I thank my club for believing in me, my teammates for giving me so much, my family for always being with me.

"I'm very motivated to come back next year to win more individual and collective prizes."
Last season, Mbappe scored 27 to emerge as the highest goalscorer in Ligue 1 although his form did not stop PSG from finishing as runners-up to Lille.

Mbappe also helped France win the UEFA Nation’s League.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has named a 28-man squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, Newspremises reports.

The federation made the list available to the public on Wednesday, Saturday 25, 2021.

Huesca’s Kelechi Nwakalu, Union Berlin’s Taiwo Awoniyi, Almeria striker Sadiq Umar and in-form Watford forward Emmanuel Dennis all made the cut.

The usual suspects are also included in the provisional squad.

Victor Osimhen is included despite his facial injury. Leon Balogun, William Troost-Ekong, Ahmed Musa, Alex Iwobi, Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi have also been called-up.

Nigerians have reportedly trooped to the page of the alleged new wife of the Ooni of Ife to leave messages after Queen Naomi announced her marriage to the Yoruba monarch is over, Newspremises reports.

The alleged new wife, Princess Ashley Afolashade Afolakemi, posts mostly photos of herself taken in the Palace and photos where she's meeting with children of the community.

Sad news coming out of the Palace of the Ooni of Ife is that, Olori Prophetess Naomi Silekunola, has divorced her husband, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Newspremises reports.

Naomi herself confirmed the news on Instagram and cleared a few things up.

She said she went into the marriage with love in her heart and a willingness to serve.

She said that she did her best to "endure" and "smile through the struggles" but she has now decided to leave her three years marriage.

She said her decision to leave has nothing to do with the fact that the Ooni of Ife is married to another queen.

She also disputed rumours that she had another child, a daughter.

She said the girl is her niece and her son for the king is the only child she's ever had.

"At this moment, I announce that I shall no longer be referred to as wife to the Ooni of Ife or as Queen of Ile-Ife," she wrote.

This is not the King's first marriage to end in a divorce.

“I bless the Lord almighty for His faithfulness in the last 3 years of my marriage. In life’s journey, it isn’t how far. The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), held talks with Roma manager, Jose Mourinho, as they search for a new Super Eagles head coach, Newspremises reports.

NFF president Amaju Pinnick, made the confirmation during a media parley with sports journalists in Lagos on Wednesday, December 22, 2021.

The NFF boss also said the national team would get a new coach “within the next week or so”.

Austin Eguavoen was appointed on an interim basis, after Gernot Rohr was sacked earlier this month.

But the federation is in advanced negotiations for a permanent replacement for Rohr.

“We have spoken to three top coaches. Peseiro, whose name has been going around, is one of them and I can tell you he is a top coach.

“We also talked to Mladen (Krstajic). But after talking to him, he got a job with a top club in Israel with Maccabi Tel Aviv.

“They are coaches who the players cannot be bigger than. I believe we are doing everything we can and that’s why we interface with the ministry on every level.

“Of course Mourinho, I am not going to tell you we didn’t talk to Mourinho because we did and the (sports) minister also talked to Mourinho and there is nothing wrong with it,” Pinnick said.
