Dear friends, Am about to do my wedding in two months time, I have a house where I am living in a satellite town, One bedroom flat. the problem with the area is that we ration light (NEPA), the road is not graded yet, it is a commercial environment where most people who work within FCT lives, another challenge with the area is that there is go-slow if you don't move out from your home before 7am you may be in the hold-up for some time. I told my wife to-be that this is where I am living, She asked is the place your house? which I didn't actual give her the right answer because I wanted to hear all that she has in her mind. She said ok, that she does not love the area, that the NEPA light is not constant, because of the nature of the road, that she will be going work late because she resumes 8am dot. 1 minute after 8am is query.

this place am staying is conducive for me, I also have a extra room for any visitor be it inlaw or friends during and after the wedding. and there is space for future plans.

What can I do here,
should I sale the house and we move to a satellite place close to the town?
should I rent out the apartment and use the money to get another apartment else where (the test and size, may not be up to the one I have)
Should I postpone the marriage till when money comes for us to move out and get another better apartment close to the town?
am confused please help me out.

The mechanic has checked it, we even drew fruel and put in the gabrator, we have done checking with Automobile Electrician

Since she is your wife to be, you have to give her because if you dont give her, either she miss that year or get the money elsewhere. it will both backfire on you. So give her the money and let her realised that the money is from your savings for the marriage ceremony.

I proposed to her and she took like 4months to come to my proposal due to her relationship with other guy which i wasn’t aware of. I sensed that she welcomed me because she failed in her former relationship which is normal (Life must go on), We have bin having good talk on phone, She took me to her house, she has cooked we eat, she welcomed me, even give me a name, she has introduced me to her senior sister, we have even gone to tell our elders in the church and i was permitted to go for introduction with back up from the elders (Church rules).
One week for my going I went ill, test revealed Malaria which i am on treatment; my reason of coming here is to seek for your godly counsel. I was on my state of health that I and my wife to be was talking on phone, she told me to get well and eat because i could not eat, (no interest for food) if not she is going to lock the door against me if am tin or slim or looking like one who is on hunger strike. (i was surprise).
On Thursday day, 4th day to my introduction to her parents, we spoke again on phone, i was like am so tire and weak, even my clothes are dirty ( I never called her or wanted her to come to my place, also it is against the church order/rule). To my greatest surprise, she ask me how will I wash it, I responded, when am strong i will do it, she said hmmmm, better learn how to do it because she is not going to be washing my clothes. I was like are u serious? she said yes that she is telling me before hand. She said everybody in the house must wash his or her clothes, hmmm i was still surprise, I quickly asked, how about our kids who will be washing theirs? She quickly responded that when the kids come we will know what to do. Initially I thought she was kidding but the seriousness on her voice was so real. I became afraid.
She went to the extent of telling me to start saving money to buy washing machine from LG Company. That she will not be the washing machine, that don’t I have hand also?.
Secondly, I was also surprise that she has not informed her parents about my coming to her house for the introduction, which I kicked against and asked her if she was ready for me, and it was at that night of our call that she called the mum and tell her.
Friends, Pls I became afraid more about the washing of the clothe matter, this days, do wife's responsibilities exclude taking care of the husband proper.
What can I do now, should I still go ahead with the proposal, or she I postponed it or should I called off everything now that it is still early, am just confused, if my wife cannot wash my clothes then why is she my wife?

I also thought TV is not in the bible but it looks like he was on TV too. Facebook, TV's etc were are not in the bible o and him and his members are using it. He not only allows his members use them,but he too is using them?

Well, since after he was caught on camera smiling from cheek to cheek at his son's wedding when the wife was dressed in everything he preaches against(more like wedding made in hell), then I concluded he probably agrees that nothing is wrong with some of those things he condemns.

It's always the members that will carry everything on their head. I wont be surprised if him and his children are caught on camera again rocking Christmas celebration(after all his sermon suggests that Christmas should be celebrated everyday not only December 25th)

Please friends am tire of this situation. Am having the following symptoms
~ weakness of the body even while having a little walk
~ sleeping immediately after meal even if it is morning, afternoon (at work) or evening also when when i take in a little cold water
~ Itching of the body after every bath everyday
~ pains from my waist to abdominal region to my legs (sharp and painful).
~ cold and tiredness at times.


All this symptoms is what am going through, I have gone to the hospital and see a doctor.
1. Did a blood sugar test and it was ok
2. Did a urine test and it was ok
4. Did a malaria test and it was discovered I have malaria and i was given treatment immediately.

The problem is this, after taking the treatment, I was sound the first and 2nd weeks, getting to the 3rd week, all the symptoms returned again. I rushed back to the hospital and another treatment was given to me, I have bin on the treatment but still cant notice any improvement.

The doctors were like saying they dont knw what might be wrong, but i knw over here we have people with experience/ medical experts.
I will like you to advice me on what to do next, thx

obi4eze: Very simple bro. I don't think you should come to nairaland for advice but since you have come, welcome.
It's about ur sister's life but it's not really private any longer because she is staying with you and to some extent, you are responsible for her well-being. Your responsibility is also based on the fact that you are her elder brother.
So what do you do? Call her (not on phone o!) and ask her questions about the young man and hear what she has to say. Then you should know what to do next. For now, your business is with your sis and not the young man.

Personally, I wouldn't encourage my sister to relate closely with a man whom I know moves around with different girls.

BTW, did he say he wants to marry her? I didn't read that in your post as the topic suggested.

the way he was sounding shows me that he has a very big interest on my sister. he said that if my sister does not love him, she should tell him straight.

A neighbour who we have not bin relating as friends, (only hi hi hi greetings), walked up to me on Saturday evening demanding to see my younger sister who is staying with me.

Asking him to know the reasons for his visit, he started opening up that the first time he saw my sister, he fell in love and demanded for her number which she gave.

The guy became angry that after sharing of numbers my sister does not give him face again, she will passed and wont like to say hi, that even if he says hi to my sister, she will respond as if both of them had quarrel.

I don't really know if the guy was drunk, he started telling me that if my sister does not love him, she should openly tell him and let him remove his mind.

Dear friends i was speechless because this guy is a matured and should be more responsible than how he is, he is working in a good place, but the issue is this, how do i approach this situation now, my sister travelled and has not come back, I don't want to be involved in her private live, because she has the right to life and privacy.

Now that this guy has come to blow the air, how do i go about it.

NB: This same guy has being going around with other girls around our neighbourhood, and I don't really know him, I have being diplomatically try to find out some things about him from one of his friends who is my friend too.
