Christianity EtcThe Anointing by Interesting15(op): 9:17am On Jan 28
Wisdom For Destiny Daily Devotional *(28th January 2026)*

by Sunday-Akanni M.

TOPIC: The Anointing

Scripture: "Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jephthah, and he passed through Gilead and Manasseh, and passed through Mizpah of Gilead; and from Mizpah of Gilead he advanced toward the people of Ammon." Judges 11:29 NKJV

*Message*

The Scripture is filled with great men and women across the different pages of human history who did great exploits we still celebrate today. Nevertheless, these people are also mortals like we are, but they could work supernatural exploits as they were aided by the anointing.

Of Jephthah:

"Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jephthah, and he passed through Gilead and Manasseh, and passed through Mizpah of Gilead; and from Mizpah of Gilead he advanced toward the people of Ammon." Judges 11:29 NKJV

Of Gideon:

"But the Spirit of the Lord came upon Gideon; then he blew the trumpet, and the Abiezrites gathered behind him." Judges 6:34 NKJV

Of Samson:

"And the Spirit of the Lord began to move upon him at Mahaneh Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol." Judges 13:25 NKJV

And many more!

One thing is sure: the Lord partnered with these great people by empowering them with the Anointing to execute what He ordained them to do. Without the anointing, they, too, will have been like every other weak man, devoid of the fortitude to fulfill destiny.

It doesn't matter how weak or disadvantaged you think you are right now. The anointing will make the difference if you choose to work with it. God's Anointing empowers you with the fortitude for destiny actualization.

The anointing enables ordinary humans to do extraordinary things, regardless of the limitations that characterize their day. Gender stereotypes, societal stereotypes, etc., couldn't stop the anointed from executing great things.

*Prayers/Confessions*
Lord, I receive the anointing to fulfill my destiny. I declare that I am empowered to do great exploits, and I walk in the supernatural fortitude that comes from Your presence. I reject every limitation, and I embrace the extraordinary, in Jesus' name. Amen.

TOPIC: If It’s From God, Then It’s For Your Good

Scripture: "Now it came to pass the same night that the Lord said to him, “Take your father’s young bull, the second bull of seven years old, and tear down the altar of Baal that your father has, and cut down the wooden image that is beside it;" Judges 6:25 NKJV

*Message*

When Gideon was expecting encouragement, God chose to give him confrontation. When he was expecting strategy for Midian, God gave him an altar to destroy - his father’s altar. God was saying, “Before I defeat Midian through you, I must deal with Baal within you.” In today’s society, God’s instructions don’t always look spiritual. Sometimes they look inconvenient, embarrassing, career-threatening, or relationally costly.

A young Christian woman worked in a fast-growing tech company. Although promotion was within reach for her, she was repeatedly pressured to manipulate data to impress investors. However, after months of prayer for “open doors,” she sensed God telling her to refuse and speak truth, even if it cost her the promotion. She obeyed - but lost the role.

However, six months later, the company collapsed due to fraud investigations. Then she was hired by a firm that valued her integrity. That was when she discovered that the tough instruction God gave her wasn’t punishment but protection.

There was a Christian influencer who built a massive following using trends that subtly promoted immorality and compromise. Growth was rapid and money was flowing in USD. Then came the instruction, as God ordered him to shut down all he has built, start again from the scratch with fresh content. Obedience meant losing followers, income, and relevance for a season.

Today, that same person leads a smaller but global discipleship community, influencing lives deeply instead of chasing algorithms. God was dismantling a Baal altar disguised as success.

Many of us can't but pray for clarity, direction, new strategies, and fresh words from God. But many believers today are not really prepared for when fresh strategies from heaven come wrapped in uncomfortable instructions. If a tough instruction is from God, then at long last, you will discover it's for your own good. What God intends to entrust to you cannot survive compromise.

*Prayers/Confessions*

Lord, I receive the grace to obey Your instructions, even when they are tough. Help me to die to my own will, fears, and limitations, and to trust in Your plan for my life. I choose to surrender to Your agenda, in Jesus' name. Amen.

TOPIC: Deliverance From The Fear Of Death

Scripture: "Now it came to pass the same night that the Lord said to him, “Take your father’s young bull, the second bull of seven years old, and tear down the altar of Baal that your father has, and cut down the wooden image that is beside it;" Judges 6:25 NKJV

*Message*

When God told Gideon to "tear down the altar of Baal that your father has, and cut down the wooden image that is beside it," God was taking him through a process of dying to the fear of death. It is important to know that at this time, the idol meant so much to the people living in the city, and insulting their religious beliefs will instigate violence (since they serve an helpless god who can't fight for itself).

"Then the men of the city said to Joash, 'Bring out your son, that he may die, because he has torn down the altar of Baal, and because he has cut down the wooden image that was beside it.” (Judges 6:30).

But why must God give Gideon such risky instructions that would put his life in danger? It's simply because God wants him to pass through the furnace that kills the fear of death in him, before he will have the boldness to carry out his destiny.

The fear of death hinders people from entering into and maximising destiny. For the children of Israel at that time, fear had been ingrained into their DNA from birth because they were hopelessly under the yoke of their enemies. Hence, any Judge who will receive divine strategies to bring deliverance must be properly positioned by dying to the fear of death.

As Christians in this New Testament dispensation of grace, this is one of the things Jesus accomplished for us. Romans 6:9 says - "Knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him." If we are going to be true deliverers in this dark stage of human existence, we must exercise dominion over corruption of all kinds - spirit, soul, and body.

"knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin." Romans 6:6

"Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage." (Hebrews 2:14-15).

We are eternally free from death and all of its mischievous tokens (including the fear of death). For it was written, "For if we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s." Romans 14:8

*Prayers/Confessions*

Lord, I receive deliverance from the fear of death. I declare that I am free from the grip of fear, and I walk in the boldness of faith, knowing that I belong to You. I renounce every fear of death, and I embrace life in Christ, in Jesus' name. Amen.

TOPIC: What If God Gives You A Tough Instruction?

Scripture: "Now it came to pass the same night that the Lord said to him, “Take your father’s young bull, the second bull of seven years old, and tear down the altar of Baal that your father has, and cut down the wooden image that is beside it;" Judges 6:25 NKJV

*Message*

We've been discussing recently how to position ourselves to receive fresh strategies and words from heaven, empowering us to become all He has in mind for us in this new season. However, like in the case of Gideon, we must realize the possibility of receiving "tough" instructions as one of the processes and procedures.

"Now it came to pass the same night that the Lord said to him, “Take your father’s young bull, the second bull of seven years old, and tear down the altar of Baal that your father has, and cut down the wooden image that is beside it; and build an altar to the Lord your God on top of this rock in the proper arrangement, and take the second bull and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the image which you shall cut down.” So Gideon took ten men from among his servants and did as the Lord had said to him. But because he feared his father’s household and the men of the city too much to do it by day, he did it by night." Judges 6:25-27 NKJV

Gideon didn't anticipate this tough route to be part of the process involved. But this is a tough test he must pass before further instructions and major strategies can be communicated from heaven. This experience was his "death experience" that stripped him of the fear of death.

Dear reader, you must be willing to let go of certain things and in various areas, as God gives instructions, for this is a process to become light enough to serve His agenda today. There will be various forms of detachments - like Gideon had to be made to detach fully from his family's idolatry.

What mindset, thought patterns, relationships, opportunities, etc., must you die to today so you can be properly positioned to receive fresh strategies from heaven for your glorious manifestation in this season?

*Prayers/Confessions*

Lord, I receive the grace to obey Your instructions, even when they are tough. Help me to die to my own will, fears, and limitations, and to trust in Your plan for my life. I choose to surrender to Your agenda, in Jesus' name. Amen.

TOPIC: Fresh Visitation Produces Fresh Strategy

Scripture: "And the Lord said to Gideon, 'The people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest they boast against Me, saying, "My own hand has saved me."'"Judges 7:2

*Message*

When Gideon pressed in, God didn’t just encourage him emotionally. Rather, the LORD gave the man specific, unconventional instructions. He was asked to send the fearful home, test at the water, and to select only 300. Indeed, God’s strategies often defy logic, especially in critical seasons.

Dear reader, who are the fearful in your life right now that must be sent home? In other words, what are the beliefs, individuals, systems, etc., sapping out faith continually from your heart and allowing the cold wind of fear blow endlessly? You must identify them and part ways, because you need a high dosage of faith to enter your promised land this season.

Like Gideon, when God starts giving you fresh strategies, you may have to take illogical paths. Let's talk about a young Christian graduate who had multiple job offers abroad. Everyone agreed: “This is God’s blessing.” Yet in prayer, God instructed her to stay back, volunteer for a year, and build skills in obscurity. It made no sense, and some friends mocked her. Her family members were so worried and concluded that something is wrong somewhere with her.

However, five years later, she leads a faith-based organization that impacts thousands, doing what no job offer could have prepared her for. It became obvious that God’s strategy may look like a loss before it looks like victory.

Dear reader, don't ever forget that overcoming in this our noisy generation requires discernment, not noise. Remember that the 300 were not chosen for strength—but for alertness. They drank while watching. So, in our age of endless content and loud spiritual performances, God is still seeking those of us who can stay spiritually awake and remain focused under pressure. God still wants individuals who can stick to walking in faith and move without crowd validation.

Finally, if things have not aligned yet, do not panic. Do not force outcomes, and don't recycle old instructions blindly. Pause. Pray. Listen again. Fresh seasons require fresh strategies.

*Prayers/Confessions*

Lord, I receive fresh strategies and instructions for this season. I let go of fear, doubt, and unbelief, and I embrace faith and obedience. Help me stay alert and focused on Your presence, trusting that Your plans are better than mine, in Jesus' name. Amen.

TOPIC: Fresh Strategies To Emerge As An Overcomer (2)

Scripture: "And the Lord said to Gideon, 'The people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest they boast against Me, saying, "My own hand has saved me."'"Judges 7:2

*Message*

Misalignment between God’s promises and our present realities often shows up subtly. You may have been praying, received words, and even obeyed certain instructions, but the breakthrough still seems delayed months later. In some cases, delays in breakthrough are simply a sign of disobedience - but not in all cases. Sometimes, it is a call for a fresh strategy.

A Nigerian entrepreneur built a thriving physical retail business between 2015 and 2019. God blessed the work of his hands. But after COVID, inflation, and digital disruption, sales dropped sharply. Instead of adapting, he kept saying, “God helped me before; He will do it again the same way.” Eventually, the Spirit nudged him to downsize physical outlets, go fully digital, and let go of long-time staff who no longer aligned with the new vision. Of course, it was painful and felt like a loss. But that pruning led to a leaner, more scalable business that surpassed previous profits.

Yesterday’s obedience does not replace today’s sensitivity. Always be sensitive to when old strategies no longer produce new victories.

From our focus Scripture, we could see that God may reduce you to protect you from self-glory. Gideon’s army was not sinful, but there were too many. It was not as if God was afraid of defeat. The LORD was guarding against misplaced glory. You know, today, some people depend too much on networks instead of prayer. Many trust numbers, platforms, or credentials more than God. Some are building “backup plans” that quietly replace faith.

The story is told of a Christian content creator who grew rapidly on social media. She could boast of millions of views, invitations, and a high income. Then, suddenly, algorithms changed. Accounts were demonetized while engagement crashed. At first, panic set in as she was asking: “I built this with strategy and consistency—what went wrong?”

In that season, God stripped away the platform as the source as well as the usage of metrics as the measure of success. Then, out of obscurity, she rebuilt, but this time with deeper prayer, simpler obedience, and a clearer message. Today, the reach is smaller, but the impact is eternal. Sometimes God reduces you not because you are wrong, but because you are becoming a danger to pride.

*Prayers/Confessions*

Lord, grant me the grace to recognize when old strategies are no longer effective. Help me to be sensitive to Your leading and to trust in Your power, not my own strength or resources. May I always give You the glory for my victories, in Jesus' name. Amen.

TOPIC: Fresh Strategies To Emerge As An Overcomer

Scripture: "And the Lord said to Gideon, 'The people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest they boast against Me, saying, "My own hand has saved me."'"Judges 7:2

*Message*

If situations and things around haven't aligned with God's promises over this new season, you may want to pause a bit and indulge in some powerful introspection. You should vehemently check within and around you, and see if there is no tendency to make your boasts outside God when you begin to see practical manifestations of God's promises of greatness.

Remember, in the opening parts of the book of Judges, the children of Israel already received divine words and strategies from heaven, which they were running with. However, as months rolled by and various events continued to transpire, it became apparent that they needed freshness - fresh words and strategies for the present.

And at a time when the children of Israel were in an unpleasant situation contrary to the pleasant realities of the promises they had received from heaven, the eagerness of a man like Gideon was able to fetch freshness from heaven - a fresh visitation that came with fresh words and strategies. God not only gave him words of assurance and reassurance ("Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man"; "Peace be with you; do not fear, you shall not die."wink but He also gave vivid, fresh strategies to emerge as an overcomer:

"And the Lord said to Gideon, “The people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel claim glory for itself against Me, saying, ‘My own hand has saved me.’ Now therefore, proclaim in the hearing of the people, saying, ‘Whoever is fearful and afraid, let him turn and depart at once from Mount Gilead.’ ” And twenty-two thousand of the people returned, and ten thousand remained. But the Lord said to Gideon, “The people are still too many; bring them down to the water, and I will test them for you there. Then it will be, that of whom I say to you, ‘This one shall go with you,’ the same shall go with you; and of whomever I say to you, ‘This one shall not go with you,’ the same shall not go.” So he brought the people down to the water. And the Lord said to Gideon, “Everyone who laps from the water with his tongue, as a dog laps, you shall set apart by himself; likewise everyone who gets down on his knees to drink.” And the number of those who lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, was three hundred men; but all the rest of the people got down on their knees to drink water. Then the Lord said to Gideon, “By the three hundred men who lapped I will save you, and deliver the Midianites into your hand. Let all the other people go, every man to his place.” (Judges 7:2-7).

Press deeply into the Spirit today and receive fresh strategies to emerge as an overcomer. Dear Christian, you are never disadvantaged! Your LORD is with you! He comes quickly! Maranatha!

*Prayers/Confessions*

Father, in the Name of Jesus, I receive fresh strategies to emerge as an overcomer today. I declare that I will walk in God's perfect plan and emerge victorious in every situation. I trust in Your presence and power to guide me, in Jesus' name. Amen.

TOPIC: God Still Speaks!

Scripture: “Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass that the children of Israel asked the Lord, saying, “Who shall be first to go up for us against the Canaanites to fight against them?” Judges 1:1

*Message*

As soon as Joshua died and his era came to a close, the children of Israel, entering a new era, did what was expedient by going to God to ask for a fresh strategy. And being ever true and faithful, the Lord empowered them with something fresh:

"And the Lord said, “Judah shall go up. Indeed I have delivered the land into his hand.” (Judges 1:2 NKJV).

God still answers prayers! When we seek Him to inquire from Him, we can expect answers from the LORD. This wasn't a one-off thing characterized by gambling, for we see various other places in the book of Judges where God speaks to His people again and again (which also means that even as you got an initial word to start the new year with, always be open to freshness all through the year).

We see God speaking again in Judges 6:16 -

"And the Lord said to him, 'Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man.'"

Then again, in verse 23: "Then the Lord said to him, 'Peace be with you; do not fear, you shall not die.'"

You observe that these subsequent speaking of God are mainly words of assurance and reassurance. In other words, you may have received divine words for the new year, but circumstances around you keep frustrating you, and it seems as if what God has said won't come to pass in any way. Hence, God is sending another fresh word to you today, telling you that "I am still with you, I will never leave nor forsake you, you will eventually emerge victorious and consume your adversities like bread."

Glory to God!

Remember, God reassured Joshua when He said: 'Peace be with you; do not fear, you shall not die.'"

This is God's word for you too. His peace and comfort remain with you. Don't allow fear - let faith keep guiding you in fulfilling destiny this season. You will not die but live to become all God has destined you to be. Indeed, nothing He has committed into your hands will die!

*Prayers/Confessions*

Lord, I thank you for speaking to me today. I receive your word of assurance and peace. I declare that I will emerge victorious and consume my adversities like bread. I will not die but live to fulfill my destiny in Jesus' name. Amen.

TOPIC: What Happens When We Seek Fresh Dimensions Of The Spirit? (5)

Scripture: “Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass that the children of Israel asked the Lord, saying, “Who shall be first to go up for us against the Canaanites to fight against them?” Judges 1:1

*Message*

When you seek fresh dimensions of the Spirit, you grow in practical experiences in and of God. For Abraham, after he journeyed into God on another higher level, God informed him, "I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless." (Genesis 17:1)", and the proof of this new level of walk was the production of circumcision as a sacred act of worship unto God.

Till today, the Jewish people don't joke with circumcision - an act that was obtained by a man as part of the proofs of his walk with God. What inheritance or proofs would you hand down to subsequent generations as a result of your walk with God?

Coming back to Abraham, in Genesis 22:14, he gave God a name:

"And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen."

You, dear reader, should have a track record of supernatural divine experiences with the Lord via your intimate personal walk with Him. These could serve as appropriate monuments that you can always draw strength from until we are translated to eternity. Scripture in II Peter 3:18 admonished us to: "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen."

When we accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, we receive the indwelling measure/dimension of the Holy Spirit, and Scripture says the anointing teaches us all things, just as Jesus promised that He will send the Holy Ghost to teach (John 14:26). So, the Holy Ghost is the seal that we have been planted in the Kingdom (in God's perfect Will), as well as teaches us the way to navigate the terrains as we seek to explore God (which is a worthy adventure, into eternity).

Always seeking and craving to grow in the experiential knowledge of God is spiritual wisdom and maturity.

Finally, don't forget that if the Lord is always eager to manifest Himself in fresh dimensions every new day and every new season, wisdom demands that we should always be open to embrace a fresh manifestation of the different realities of the Holy Spirit every new phase or day of our lives. This is important in maximizing our faith walk as believers.

*Prayers/Confessions*

Father, as I seek fresh dimensions of the Spirit, help me grow in practical experiences with You. I crave experiential knowledge of God and I embrace fresh manifestations of the Holy Spirit. Amen

As we give ourselves to the Holy Ghost in spirit and in truth, He leads us to deeper realms in God until we now own God and know Him for yourself. One of the proofs you have gotten to this level is how you start building personalised monuments peculiar to your own unique walk with God.

For instance, you start giving God personalised names according to what He has proven Himself to you. For instance, you start composing songs of worship based on what He has revealed of Himself to you, and these are songs and chants that you use only in your secret place.

We are not only in a fresh season, but also in the very last days. These are wise strategies to remain standing strong in God. The tribulations and challenges that will be unleashed will shake the faith of many. However, when you know God intimately for yourself and can point to several spiritual milestones in your walk with Him, you will continue to grow stronger and stronger. As you keep drawing strength from your experiences with Him, like Job, you could also say, "Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him..." (13:15)

The patriarchs of old were very familiar with this path, despite not having the Holy Ghost inside of them. Let's take Abraham as a case study. God invited him to journey with Him, and the man started out with faith, not sure of the Spirit that was talking to him. But after a period of time in exploring God, he now discovered that this Spirit is greater than any other. "there he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord". (Genesis 12:cool

Many times, the Bible's usage of "know" denotes something beyond head knowledge. When it says Adam knew his wife, this knowing is even deeper than sex, but denotes a very deep level of intimacy between both of them. And there are proofs and results of this deep sort of intimacy - in the case of Adam and Eve, we saw offspring.

And when Jesus was saying that eternal life is knowing God, He is talking about deep intimacy with the LORD that will stretch for eternity. So, as a human, you have a destiny to keep journeying deeper and deeper into God and keep discovering new things about God. And this should go beyond this plane of existence - it is an eternal adventure.

Right here on earth, like in the case of Adam, the things God gives and permits for us are meant to be synergised and coordinated to help us grow more and more in the experiential knowledge of God. Your life purpose, your relationships, your career, and your resources should all be directed at helping us grow in our knowledge of God.

However, as imperfect humans, we are prone to losing focus on important things, such as these, whereby we start giving priority to other things of lesser or no importance. Therefore, we must occasionally yearn for the freshness of the Spirit. For as we encounter the Holy Ghost again and again, He is eager to take us into deeper realms of knowledge inside of God.

Don't forget that we came from inside God. Before you were born, you existed in spirit inside of God. That was why the LORD told Jeremiah, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” (1:5).

*Prayers/Confessions*
Father, I desire deeper intimacy with You. I crave fresh dimensions of the Holy Spirit. Help me synergise everything to know You more.

So the disciples had received fresh anointing on the day of pentecost, and from Acts chapters 2 and 3, we see that the fresh anointing they received was now guiding them on how to convert people into believers through their signs and wonders. However, you would have thought that was all. But no. They soon entered into a season of persecution in Acts 4, and their hunger made them witnessed another wave of the freshness of the Spirit that helped them navigate the tides in accordance to God's Will.

This highlights the importance of remaining open to fresh visitations of the Holy Spirit. They entered a season of persecution, and the boldness they had experienced on the day of Pentecost was no longer enough to sustain them.

Moving on, secondly, seeking fresh dimensions of the Spirit leads to a deeper craving for intimacy with the Lord. When the Holy Spirit is pouring out Himself in a fresh dimension upon a people, aside from setting us on fire, He also wants to bring us into Himself and ignite a very deep hunger in us to know Him more intimately.

And a deeper craving for intimacy with the Lord is one of the core reasons we should always crave fresh visitations with Him.

The eternal destiny of man (male and female) revolves around growing in the knowledge of God. When God created Adam and placed him in the garden, all the things God gave to him (like purpose, work, authority, marriage, etc) were meant to be synergised towards knowing God more and more experientially.

And even when Man fell, and Jesus Christ had to come to restore things back to God's original plan as it was in the beginning, particularly through the divine currency of eternal life, the structure remains that eternal life will become the vehicle upon which the new creation believer will explore God for all of eternity.

"And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." (John 17:3 NKJV)

Eternal life is an adventure of knowing the LORD (the Father, Son and Holy Ghost) for all of eternity.

Father, I crave for fresh dimensions of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus' Name. I hunger for deeper intimacy with You, Lord. I receive fresh fire to navigate every season

TOPIC: What Happens When We Seek Fresh Dimensions Of The Spirit? (1)

Scripture: “Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass that the children of Israel asked the Lord, saying, “Who shall be first to go up for us against the Canaanites to fight against them?” Judges 1:1

*Message*

The first thing that likely happens when we seek fresh dimensions of the Spirit is that we can expect fresh fire. Let's see Acts 2:1-4:

"When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."

They received a baptism of fresh fire when they experienced a freshness of the Spirit, and with this fresh fire, in a matter of minutes, the church population grew into thousands.

Note that these were people (the Apostles) who had received impartations of power from Jesus Himself before His arrest and death (Matthew 10:1). But they were aware that a new season had been installed following the resurrection and ascension of the Lord. Therefore, had they only depended on what the Lord imparted to them in the previous season (when He was still with them physically), they would not have been able to record this success right there in a new season.

From Acts chapters 2 and 3, you will see that the fresh anointing they received was now guiding them on how to convert people into believers through their signs and wonders. If they were still operating on the strength of the former impartation alone, they would just appear as magicians entertaining the people.

Like these men, when God has launched you into a new season or committed something new into your hands, you should contend for fresh fire, as it can blow things up to record a great measure of success almost effortlessly.

In these last days, you can't do exploits for God's kingdom without fire. Fire empowers you for the mandate of the kingdom. Fire helps activate you for your new season. In fact, demons can't mess with a carrier of fire (He makes His ministers flames of fire).

*Prayers/Confessions*

Father, I receive fresh fire for this new season, in Jesus' Name. I contend for the fire of the Holy Spirit in my life and declare that God's fire activates my gifts and calling. I am a carrier of God's fire; demons can't mess with me. I trust God for explosive success in this season. Amen

TOPIC: Where Are Your Fresh Strategies?

Scripture: “Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass that the children of Israel asked the Lord, saying, “Who shall be first to go up for us against the Canaanites to fight against them?” Judges 1:1

*Message*

In the era of Joshua, he didn't merely copy and paste the strategies employed by his boss, Moses. Rather, he excavated certain principles behind the success of the Moses era and applied them in fresher measures that align with his era's peculiarities. He employed fresh strategies to become successful in his own era.

So, immediately Joshua died and wrapped up his era, the new era did what was expedient by going to God to ask for a fresh strategy. "Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass that the children of Israel asked the Lord, saying, “Who shall be first to go up for us against the Canaanites to fight against them?” (Judges 1:1).

This is the right way to explore a new year and season!

It is important that everyone of us as Christians embraces the freshness of the Spirit as we run the new year. Freshness of the Spirit simply connotes a fresh encounter with the Holy Ghost. There is a fresh anointing of the Spirit for each new season that will help us run according to God's perfect Will for that season. Therefore, we must keep thirsting for the freshness of the Spirit.

Don't make the mistake of relying on past impartation and powers to run the race of a new season. I know you have received a lot in the past years and seasons. But you see, when you receive something fresh for the new season, those former impartations and spiritual gifts will only be platforms God will use for you to carry out the tasks at hand.

If the Lord is always eager to manifest Himself in fresh dimensions every new day and every new season, wisdom demands that we should always be open to embracing a new manifestation of the Holy Spirit's different realities in every phase or day of our lives. This is important in maximizing our faith walk as believers.

This is the 15th day in the new year already - and I want to ask you, "Where are your fresh strategies?"

*Prayers/Confessions*

Father, I ask for fresh strategies for this season, in Jesus' Name. I thirst for the freshness of the Holy Spirit, renouncing reliance on past anointings; I seek new wine. I declare God's fresh manifestation in every area of my life.

TOPIC: Faith Over Fear: Your Giants Aren’t As Strong As They Look

Scripture:“ "But Barak pursued the chariots and the army as far as Harosheth Hagoyim, and all the army of Sisera fell by the edge of the sword; not a man was left. And then, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said to him, “Come, I will show you the man whom you seek.” And when he went into her tent, there lay Sisera, dead with the peg in his temple. Judges 4:16, 22 NKJV

*Message*

If you can allow faith to consume your fear, you’ll soon discover that your obstacles are not nearly as powerful as they pretend to be. Israel’s real enemy wasn’t Sisera’s chariots—it was fear. Fear magnified the power of the enemy and paralyzed faith. Yet the moment Israel aligned with God’s Word and acted in faith, everything changed. What seemed invincible fell before a people who dared to believe.

In today's society, we can look at Jack Ma’s story as one of David vs. Goliath in Modern Business. When Jack Ma started Alibaba, he faced powerful Western e-commerce giants like eBay and Amazon. They had money, global reach, and influence. Yet he built his company from his small apartment in China, driven by vision and persistence—not resources. He said, “If you don’t give up, you still have a chance.”

That’s what faith looks like in business today. You have to believe when the odds are stacked against you.

There are some people whose fear revolves around personal struggles. But then, there are worthy examples you can learn from. Let's look at the man known as Nick Vujicic. He was born without arms and legs. For years, fear and self-pity convinced him that his life was useless. But when he turned his heart to God and began to speak faith instead of fear, he became one of the most inspiring Christian speakers on earth—impacting millions.

His “chariot of iron” was disability. But faith made him unstoppable.

Dear reader, align with God's truth with faith, and nothing can stop you!

*Prayers/Confessions*

Father, I choose faith over fear today. I release God's Word over my situation (name it). I command every spirit of fear to leave me, in Jesus' Name. I declare I am more than a conqueror through Christ.

Scripture:“ "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says." (Mark 11:23 NKJV)

*Message*

The fact remains that until Jesus returns, we are going to keep wrestling against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. However, the LORD is empowering us with light, so we will always position ourselves to keep claiming the victory He already procured for us.

You should understand the manner in which the enemies had access to the type of power they are using. First, it should be noted that the powers the devil and his cohorts are using to do evil were not created by him - the devil is not a creator, unlike God, and he doesn't even have such a capability. However, don't forget that he is a spiritual being who has spent a long time in the realm of God in heaven and knows the spiritual techniques/codes associated with performing spectacular occurrences from the spiritual realm.

Still, in Christ Jesus, we are more than conquerors.

Additionally, you must realize that the enemy enjoys fighting with mountains. Don't forget, in Mark 11:23, Jesus informed us that what you do to mountains (obviously not mere physical mountains) is to order them to 'be removed'. That is, we don't negotiate with mountains. We simply excavate them out of the way by faith in the Name of Jesus.

Mountains are usually taller than the average human, and they block our sight/vision. If you stand in front of a mountain, you are hindered from seeing what is ahead - you only see the mountain. And as you are hindered from seeing what is ahead, you can't even access or get to the place because you are obstructed by the mountain.

The enemy wages war with mountains, so our sight becomes myopic, and we are blinded to see what we should see. Once the enemy places a mountain before a person, they struggle to see what Christ has already done for them in victory, and they are hindered from accessing it. Mountains are meant to kill faith and hope.

So, whatever mountain you are confronting right now (mountain of lust, of depression, of lack, of sickness, of frustration, etc), command them to be removed right now, in Jesus Name.

Don't approach spiritual warfare with rationalism and human intelligence/permutations - it is beyond what the brightest mind can comprehend. Simply go spiritual.

*Prayers/Confessions*

Father, I thank You for the victory in Christ Jesus. I command every mountain (name specific challenges) blocking my way to be removed, in Jesus' Name. I declare faith and hope in God's promises over my situation. I renounce fear, doubt, and unbelief; I choose to trust God's Word. By faith, I claim victory over every spiritual attack, in Jesus' Name. Amen

Scripture:“Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.” Revelation 12:12 NKJV

*Message*

As sons and daughters of God clinging unto priesthood, when we make attempts to bring a reality from God from the heavens down to the earth, we shouldn't expect these enemy spirits not to give a fight. In Daniel chapter 10, the man of God conducted priesthood to fetch something from the realm of God. One the same vein, the prince of persia swung into actions to hinder the manifestation of what he had already procured.

So, at times, that you are yet to see manifestations and results to some requests doesn't mean you haven't obtained those things. It can just be that there is a principality in the air hindering it from getting to you - taking advantage of your ignorance of what Christ already finalised, while still standing on a legitimate ground as it were in the case of Daniel and the children of Israel.

Also, as priests of God empowered with light to alter the operations of these spirits and destroy their evil works upon territories and people this year, we shouldn't expect them not to fight back. The LORD JESUS, in Matthew 12:29, was talking about how before you can enter the strong man's house (the dungeon of demons) to plunder his house (to set his captive free), you must first bind the strong man.

That was exactly what Elijah did before he could set Israel free from the captivity of baal - he first bind baal in the spirit realm, which is why baal could not respond when the prophets of baal were calling him on Mount Carmel (1 Kings 18)

The good news is that as believers, we have victory over all spiritual enemies already in Christ Jesus. However, we can't claim the victory if we are devoid of light - which explains why many believers are still helpless. One of the things faith can do is to lead us to the place of practical priesthood intelligence, where we fight (or rather, claim our victory) with light

*Prayers/Confessions*

I declare that I am a royal priest, empowered to bind and plunder the enemy's camp. I renounce ignorance and claim the light of God's Word to overcome spiritual enemies. I command all principalities and powers hindering God's promises in my life to be bound and cast out. I walk in the victory Christ has given me, and I will see the manifestation of God's promises.

*Message*

Since we have established the necessity of being excellent in strategic warfare as believers today, it is important to spend the next couple of days exploring warfare intelligence. Don't forget that as a spiritual priest, which you are (1 Peter 2:9), part of your spiritual responsibilities is to enforce the perfect Will of God in this plane of existence via legislation in the realm of the spirit.

Now, we understand that the spiritual realm is broad and mysterious, and different activities are usually going on right there by different spirits. We know that not all spirits are on God's side - there are many on the side of the devil, as we see in Revelation 12 (how Lucifer and the angels supporting his revolt against God and were banished from Heaven).

The aim of these contrary spirits (which were inspired by their master, Lucifer) is to hinder and frustrate the perfect Will of God, before their final destruction comes. And since they have some knowledge of the dynamics of using spiritual powers, they seem to have an edge over the average human on earth. Hence, they have been hindering the perfect Will of God from coming to pass upon individuals, nations, territories, etc.

The grand objective of the activities of demons, witches, etc, is to hinder people from becoming all that God has destined them to become. So, when you see these enemies afflicting people with curses, poverty, sickness, death, etc, the result is to ensure their prey won't become all that God has destined them to be.

Remember, our destiny as humans is to have an intimate, righteous relationship with God through Jesus Christ, which empowers us to have dominion over creation. Anyone whose life is not consistent with this is under the influence of the attack of the enemy.

*Prayers/Confessions*

I declare that I am a royal priest, anointed and empowered to enforce God's perfect Will on earth. I renounce any influence of the enemy in my life, and I claim the power of Christ's victory over all contrary spirits. I declare that I will walk in God's perfect plan for my life, and no demonic strategy will succeed against me. In Jesus Name. Amen.

TOPIC: Strategic Warfare

Scripture:“Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass that the children of Israel asked the Lord, saying, “Who shall be first to go up for us against the Canaanites to fight against them?” Judges 1:1

*Message*

This new year has ushered in a fresh season, no doubt. And we have been emphasising the need to apply the proven methods and principles of past seasons, but in fresher measures and dimensions this new year. In the opening verse of the book of Judges, we are informed that Joshua is now dead (the end of a season), and the children of Israel, belonging to the new ushered-in season, need light.

An easy way to obtain directions and know what to do is to look back to the past and learn from the principles that helped the Joshua generation (the same way young Christians today should diligently study the exploits of those before us and extract principles we can practice in our own day, but in modern measures).

If the children of Israel in Judges chapter 1 had studied the exploits of the Joshua generation faithfully, one of the principles they could instantly inculcate would revolve around strategic warfare. You should take note that, despite divine help, Joshua used sound military tactics, including intelligence gathering (sending spies), ambush and deception, rapid forced marches, divide and conquer strategies, securing key geographical positions, etc.

As believers in 2026, we should be excellent in strategic warfare also. We are not children who only want to fold their arms, expecting God to always do what He expects us to do for ourselves.

You should realise that the kingdom of darkness is obsessed with hindering you from becoming all God has destined you to be, and they have planted evil enemies around you to accomplish their aims. Strategic warfare requires launching spiritual surveillance to identify and highlight your enemies (which can be humans, objects, places, systems, sectors, etc.) and plotting offensive strategies to keep them impotent around you.

Ensure you remain glued to the Lord of Hosts; victory is always sure.

*Prayers/Confessions*

Lord, I declare war against every enemy of my progress and destiny. I take authority over them in Jesus' name. Help me to walk in strategic wisdom and discernment, and to trust in Your power and guidance, Amen.

Scripture:“Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass that the children of Israel asked the Lord, saying, “Who shall be first to go up for us against the Canaanites to fight against them?” Judges 1:1

*Message*

The Joshua generation is also known for its priority towards unity and corporate responsibility. Take note that all tribes participated together; one person's sin affected the entire community. Hence, in 2026, you must also give good priority to being part of a Christian community.

For us belonging to this era, Scripture informed us: "not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." (Hebrews 10:25).

It is worthy to note that Joshua erected stones and monuments to help future generations remember God's acts (Jordan crossing, Gilgal). That generation was one that attached great importance to memorial and remembrance. The wisdom for you today, even as you start the new year, is to ensure you keep recording the progression of the year. Have a journal, taking notes that will prove helpful next year/season - particularly in a way that will ensure you keep remembering God's goodness.

In fact, the bible encourages parents to tell their children about God's mighty acts and wonders. For instance, Psalms 78:5-7 says: "For He established a testimony in Jacob, And appointed a law in Israel, Which He commanded our fathers, That they should make them known to their children; That the generation to come might know them, The children who would be born, That they may arise and declare them to their children, That they may set their hope in God, And not forget the works of God, But keep His commandments"

Finally, Joshua represented successful succession planning - Moses prepared him through years of apprenticeship. This year is one you should have at least one person you sit upon to impart to them part of the grace of God upon your life. Multiply yourself in others through mentorship, tutoring, discipleship, etc.

*Prayers/Confessions*

Lord, help me prioritize unity and community in my walk with You. Give me the discipline to record Your goodness and share it with others. May I be a mentor and disciple-maker, multiplying Your kingdom, Amen.

The second principle they should have learned from the exploits of the Joshua generation revolves around courage and faith. Remember that God's repeated command was "Be strong and courageous" - as Joshua had to lead despite overwhelming odds and fortified cities.

In 2026, you may want to expect encountering overwhelming odds and fortified cities also, as well as factors and conditions meant to hinder you from possessing your promised land. But you must be courageous all through the year and adhere to the principles of faith without fail. Faith still works!

Another principle of the Joshua generation that should be prioritized by us in this new season is around holiness and purity. Indeed, the community's spiritual state affected military outcomes. Sin had to be addressed before victory was possible. While we live in the grace dispensation, we must never tolerate sin at all in our lives and camps.

You need divine strength to become all God has destined for you this year. Sin deflects your strength and gives the enemy the legitimacy to steal your fortitude to fulfill destiny, hence making you weak like one of the mere people on earth. Jesus says, "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy." (John 10:10). Sin is the code he utilized to gain access.

Finally, for today, you can easily highlight complete commitment from the Joshua generation. The conquest required total dedication - partial obedience or compromise with Canaanite culture was forbidden. Dear reader, in this new season, we've found ourselves; compromise is a no-no. We must be determined to obey God to the fullest, and nothing less.

*Prayers/Confessions*

Lord, I welcome this fresh season with gratitude and expectation. Help me to trust in Your goodness and faithfulness, and to obey Your Word. Empower me to walk in faith, intimacy, and courage, and to fulfill Your purpose for my life, Amen.

SportsHere Is A Life Principle I Learnt From Football by Interesting15(op): 5:10pm On Jan 07
When I was a little boy, I grew up being very passionate about football. Not only was I a talented football player who also enjoyed watching football, but I also analyzed whatever is going on in the footballing world to extract life lessons and principles.

One of the things I discovered early from having an analytical mind towards football was that one of the major things that differentiates the best players and teams from the rest of the pack is their abilities to create opportunities without waiting to get lucky.

While mediocre players and teams are hoping that defenders and goalkeepers would make a mistake for them to score, the best players like Messi, Ronaldo, and Ronaldinho will synergise their abilities to create opportunities that can be converted into a goal.

Take a look at the best football teams in the world right now and compare them with the mediocre ones, and you will quickly observe this.

I picked up these principles and incorporated them into my work. I decided that I won't stick to a spot waiting for opportunities, but will always be proactive in creating my own opportunities.

When you are proactive in creating your own opportunities, you position yourself to attract the necessary attention and support from stakeholders who are bent on empowering only deserving folks. The results of the opportunities you created with your own hands are strong statements that speak loudly for you and open massive doors (either immediately or somewhere in the future).

In fact, as you begin to create opportunities with your hands, you will soon discover that there are actually certain mouthwatering hidden opportunities (operated by both governments and private institutions) which your own created opportunities will then qualify you for

Your destiny is in your own hands.

In spite of all the wonderful things witnessed at the time of Joshua, he (as well as his colleagues) still died! Yes, they have to leave the scene so a fresh era could come. When he died, his era was gone, and the new era was meant to do the same.

The new era was meant to not camp around the exploits of Joshua, but face their own unique realities, standing upon the peak of the Joshua generation to exhibit even fresher measures of exploits and supernatural dimensions.

This new era shouldn't attempt to only copy and paste the methods used in the era of Joshua, but should give priority to employing fresh methods that will prove effective in their own season. Of course, they must learn the principles behind the actions and exploits of the Joshua generation, then produce relatable and fresh strategies based on what is available in their day and for their season.

The first principle they should have learned from the exploits of the Joshua generation revolves around divine guidance and obedience. Joshua's success depended on following God's specific instructions, even when they seemed militarily unconventional (like Jericho). Disobedience led to defeat (Ai).

Dear reader, if you want to maximize this new year and season, you must fully embrace the principle of divine guidance and obedience. Fortunately, as believers operating in the New Testament dispensation, we have the Holy Spirit and God's Word to guide and lead us - but it's left to us to be obedient to the Lord's dictates.
Be committed to growing in your obedience level in your walk with God this year.

Because Joshua wisely chose to apply the methods he learned from the previous era of Moses in fresher measures that align with the realities of his own day, he became exceptionally successful. In our previous study, we highlighted some of Joshua's successes, and we will explore more of them today.

We today, in our own fresh season, can look into the successes Joshua recorded in his own fresh era, and insist on laying hold of nothing less.

Now moving forward, part of Joshua's achievements revolves around his establishment of a strong foundation, as he laid the groundwork for the Israelites' future in the Promised Land, setting the stage for their growth and prosperity. Dear reader, it doesn't matter how dysfunctional your background and family have been; your fresh season should be utilized to lay the pleasant foundation that can be built upon by your subsequent generations. A new lineage should emerge from your loins!

So, Joshua's leadership marked a successful transition from the wilderness wanderings to a new era of settlement and nation-building. You also need wisdom to build greatness in 2026. Build to last! Be futuristic conscious! Joshua's leadership and faithfulness served as a model for future leaders, including the judges and kings of Israel. Pattern your life in such a way that everything about you can serve as a model for successive generations.

Finally, Joshua no doubt inspired faith and obedience. His trust in God and obedience to His commands inspired the Israelites to follow God's laws and the covenant He had made with them. You also must be worthy of emulation in 2026. Around your space, you are an epistle people are reading. Your lifestyle should inspire faith and obedience, making multitudes crave to follow God's laws and covenant in your generation.

These are some crucial indices you can use to measure the extent to which you maximize the new year.

*Prayers/Confessions*

Lord, I welcome this fresh season with gratitude and expectation. Help me to trust in Your goodness and faithfulness, and to apply the lessons from previous seasons in new and fresh ways. Empower me to walk in faith, intimacy, and courage, and to fulfill Your purpose for my life, Amen.

Scripture:“Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass that the children of Israel asked the Lord, saying, “Who shall be first to go up for us against the Canaanites to fight against them?” Judges 1:1

Joshua was aware that the methods you learned from previous eras should be applied in fresher measures that align with the realities of your own day, and it is no wonder he became exceptionally successful. In what ways was he successful?

First, in the conquest of Canaan. Joshua successfully led the Israelites in conquering the land of Canaan, fulfilling God's promise to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Dear reader, this year, this new season, is the perfect time for the conquest of the tokens God has promised to our fathers and mothers. The land is yours to conquer!

Secondly, Joshua's success also revolves around the successful division of the land. Joshua divided the conquered land among the 12 tribes of Israel, ensuring each tribe had a place to settle and thrive. Dear reader, in this new season, grow in capacity to begin playing the role of a Judge, exhibiting leadership towards helping others settle within the circumference of God's perfect Will for them.

Thirdly, Joshua's military victories were part of his success badges. Remember that his military campaigns resulted in significant victories, including the capture of key cities like Jericho and Ai. Dear reader, this new season and year, grow up in warriorship and no longer settle for baby Christianity. Fight the Lord's battles in 2026 and lay claim to the victories already won by the Lord Jesus. You are in the Lord's camp, the Lord of Host is His Name.

*Prayers/Confessions*
Lord, I welcome this fresh season with gratitude and expectation. Help me to trust in Your goodness and faithfulness, and to apply the lessons from previous seasons in new and fresh ways. Empower me to walk in faith, intimacy, and courage, and to fulfill Your purpose for my life, Amen

TOPIC: Welcome! O Fresh Season (2)

Scripture:“Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass that the children of Israel asked the Lord, saying, “Who shall be first to go up for us against the Canaanites to fight against them?” Judges 1:1

*Message*

The era of Joshua was pretty different from the era of Moses. During Moses' era, the Israelites were in the wilderness, wandering for 40 years due to their disobedience. Moses was the leader, and God gave him the laws and instructions for the people. In contrast, Joshua's era marked a new chapter. Joshua took over as leader after Moses' death, and the Israelites entered the Promised Land, Canaan.

Joshua's focus was on conquering and dividing the land among the tribes. It was a time of military campaigns and settlement. While Moses was more of a lawgiver and mediator, Joshua was a military leader who trusted God's promises and led the people in battle. The two eras had different challenges and focuses, but both were crucial in shaping the history of the Israelites.

Hence, while 2026 is an upgrade for 2025, they still represent two different seasons and therefore have different challenges and focuses. Nevertheless, as an upgrade to 2025, 2026 will also prove cardinal in shaping the history of the church, God's people, and the whole world.

Hence, it would have been difficult if Joshua made attempts to only copy and paste the methods used in the era of Moses, and didn't employ fresh methods that would prove effective in his own era. Of course, he held on to the principles of the wisdom and knowledge communicated by the exploits of Moses and that era - such as complete faith in God, the necessity of intimacy with Him, the importance of being up-to-date with the realm of the Spirit, courage, etc.

He knew that the methods you learned from previous eras should be applied in fresher measures that align with the realities of your own day. Thus, Joshua was exceptionally successful.

Dear reader, the methods you acquired from previous years and seasons ought to be applied in fresher measures that align with the realities of the current year and season you find yourself.
